The trick is too keep playing your better players.  But have some horrible s******** or two on clobberin time to put one on them if the opposition start up.  We have too few of those 

The standard of football is better than I anticipated from some teams and is just as turgid as I thought from others .  Potentially, we have are a couple of enforcers away from being good at both.  Not sure the new manager will allow that though as he's used to managing a certain type of player of a certain standard and looks in no rush to change that blueprint. I anticipated another relegation battle prior to Clowes buyout, an 8-12 place finish when we started bringing a few in and a playoff finish when we signed some more and kept hold of Knight and others.  Anything less than a 6th place would be a failure I feel.  League 1 is now basically a league with 8 sides i'd expect to find in the bottom half of the championship with quite a few staying up.  Think we are about that level at the minute.  We're mid table due to one shocking ref and a number of individual errors. 

It helps him formulate his tiktok videos, and the quality of those would suffer if he had to waste his time trying to play for forest.

He was one of the better players for 10 games, not 3 years.  First 10 games with us he hardly moved and was strapped up but we've had that conversation before.  I'd give plenty of credit to Richards and unexpectedly Gregory as well who got us plenty of points in 20/21.  When he came back from injury last season he was wholly underwhelming.

Two weeks after it opens that bloke will be in there reading the Racing post at 8 in the morning and coming home smelling of Snakebite and kebabs at midnight.   He's been waiting for it all his life.

Interesting reading on their forum amongst the normal delusions of Stonewall penalties and definite reds.  If this lot doesn't convince you we were robbed nothing will.  

Barkhuizen and Laing will be off in January as they can't play this formation effectively.  At the minute Barkhuizen is playing with the wrong foot in a position he openly stated he didn't like playing for Preston when he came here.  Laing is an out and out winger .  His effectiveness has notably dropped playing this formation, where he's advancing over the half way line rather than starting further forward.

There was a glaring one where Sibley was away through the middle and the bloke grabbed the front of his shirt with both hands as he went past.  Played on and they got a breakaway when he cleared.  Absolutely horrific officiating.  Dobbin also got cleaned out just outside the box and he carried on

I'd give Eddie Lewis a bit of a pass.  Not his fault we offered him premier league games at 30 after  a year in League 1 and he at least looked bothered.  Lets not forget all the crap like Fagan, McEverly and Teale we sent wads on a few months before.  We kept them and got rid of Jones and Oakley who could play.

No because if it's deemed the refs mistake wasn't obvious he'll be banned for 4 games.  If you appeal and we don't like it  we penalise you more.  Sounds like the EFL and why crap refs keep plying their trade.

Hourihane seemed to have no position, he tackled Bird twice and Knight twice during the game.
We don't get in the ref face enough as I mentioned earlier in the season.

There guy Harrison should probably have had a red for that tackle on Laing -studs up and no intention to play the ball.
A free kick against Sibley in injury time when it was the other way- penalty? didn't see it enough.
A ridiculous free kick against Stearman in their half when he was fouled - that could have been another red.
Overall, the worst ref I've seen at Pride Park bar Atwells mad 5 minutes. Clearly lost his mental s*** entirely in front of a large crowd and needs to back to the Vanarama.
