Incredibly poor re ruitment department .   Maybe to cheer us up we should have a thread of two teams worth of the worst deals in the last ten years . .. pound for pound lack of value for expense paid , we could call it our ANYAism years ..  

Regarding strikers.  I'm pretty sure we need some cash in before we can get one that involves a fee. As I've mentioned before If you've spent 50 million paying someone else's bar bill of the best champers your not getting another round in. Hopefully we shift our Polish superstar nobody wants for enough to pay what's left of his fee as a starter.   
Not even sure what the loosening of transfers dealings means.  We may be allowed to pay fees but only spend what's brought in.?

Need to perhaps remember a grasp of maths isn't everyone's strong suit.  For what it's worth however, I agree.  Knights worth 10 million based on prices I've seen paid for some s**** over the years.  We won't get it but he's worth it.  Like Hendrick, he'll be a physical beast in 3 years if he avoids injury.  Add that to his desire to win .  10 million all day.  We paid that for a bloke who came here with strapping on both knees and whose whole career involved a few appearances for a club in Poland, six months warming the Walsall bench,  more bench time at Birmingham and a season at League 1 Charlton.  Throw in a nasty shoulder injury as a forewarning of the delights to follow.

Not sure.  I know the team didn't last long as it had too many American players playing some games and was thrown out the League at some point.  I suspect it had something to do with Gibsons great grandad.

Rooney showed enough to me to find himself getting first team football as a sub, or occasional starter through injury..  He looks comfortable at this level and comfortable on the ball.  Thompson won't get games.  He probably needs to rebuild elsewhere where demand for results isn't at such a premium.

Never heard this before.  Weirdly heard it for the first time today from my grandma about her great grandson.  She came to Derby in about 53 from Ireland.  She first heard it in Derby in the 60's relating to Skinhead before that was a term
