Wow. Mr Pop needs to lose his virginity soon, he's in pain

Swollen nads.  Saving it all up in hopes of our relegation for a proper shandy fest.  In the meantime he'll keep them iced and resting on his box file of our 18/19 accounts in his mams basement. Lets hope he sees the Gibson centrefold in this months EFL monthly, he might combust ahead of time.

Rooney stated that no player was going to be sold unless he said so, and that did happen.

I'm guessing HMRC will get any outstanding transfer payments owed to the club after administration, that if money is owed on Bennett or Evans they get that. Hughes too. Same with Holmes, and it would be the same with any players that might have been sold during the last window. HMRC play the long game, even if it is 50 years down the line at £1 a week.

It appears no club pays up front, it is staged payments, so selling Lawrence and Buchanan might only have initially brought in [maybe] £1m and that pays a month's wages and is gobbled up? Whereas after administration it's a clean slate, they are assets.

Unfortunately, the long game will consist of two years maximum , plus accruing interest and if the overdue tax is determined for any entity they can collect this amount even if its higher than anything submitted.  Any currently owing tax due must also be kept up to date in line with a payment plan .  If any element of accounting is still due to filed they won't discuss payment plans .

Quoting my own words here .

    Think about this !! ??

Why would you sack 20 people saving on wages then spend 300k on the possible outcome of a negative appeal on the -12 .

    You wouldnt would you .

There is alot going off behind closed doors . Believe me we will win the appeal and it will be either 0 points deducted or -6 . But its going to come at a cost of accepting the 2nd one so we cant appeal it . There is a possibility we could just end up with -9  or get 2 x -6  . Somethings cooking behind the scenes as you dont spend 300k without knowing the result having sacked around 20 jobs . If you dont believe this then your probably in the same group as who believe Diana Spencer was accidently killed in that car crash .........wakey wakey people .

Wasn't the car being driven at 80 mph by a bloke who'd consumed half a bottle of wine through 3 miles of solid concrete.  I'm not sure seatbelts were being used either.  I may take some convincing it was a conspiracy.

Arsenal & Man Utd are bigger clubs than Newcastle anyway, not sure why they're being compared

Arsenal haven't been outside of the top division since 1919 and have won the league 13 times since Newcastle last won it (10 of those pre-PL) . If their fans are moaning about not challenging for the title that's quite a lot more valid. Of 117 seasons they've played only 13 seasons (11%) were at Level 2 with 9 of those pre-1904!

Man Utd 1have spent 19% of their history at level 2 with only 2 of their previous 78 seasons spent there, winning the league 18 times since Newcastle last won it (5 times pre-PL). Again there's far more reason why they could feel entitled.

Newcastle have spent 24% of their history at level 2 and haven't won the league since 1927. They're not in the same bracket.

If we make it more recent and look at what's happened since Derby last won the league, Newcastle have spent 12/46 seasons at level 2, Arsenal 0/46, Man Utd 0/46.

Thanks to our deciding vote putting them there.

They were a Division 2 side in 74/75 when we won it .  I think we should count that one.

    Not top, but Premier League.

Was definitely a thing on here when things were going well.

I still think that. A mid table premier league side with the occasional dalliance at Europe or a cup run seems pretty reasonable, with the occasional smattering of unlucky relegation and a return within 3-4 years should be about standard. Last time Newcastle won anything it was shown on sepia at the cinema before the new talkie.

the “Geordie nation” are aLmost as insufferable as the scousers. why they think they have a devine right to win anything is beyond me, last time they were any good God was still a boy.

Team them up with West Ham fans and you have a proper party.

I was chatting to my friend who works for Brighton, and they have a novel way of bringing through their youngsters by having a mentor, a wise head that plays in the games and has experience to pass on. The Brighton academy is seen as one of the best in the world right now, Ben White, Jayson Molumby, Aaron Connolly, Robert Sanchez, Max Sanders, Steven Alzate, and Christian Walton, along with Lewis Dunk and Solly March.

Imagine if Curtis Davies, Craig Forsyth or Tom Huddlestone was that player, or if a Darren Bent had passed on his goalscoring knowledge to the younger lads coming through instead of donning a suit to become a TV pundit for Sky? No one will have heard of Andrew Crofts, but he is one of three over-age outfield players they employ. It seems to be working and maybe we should take note?

This is basically what used to happen prior to academies and they were just reserve teams,  those older players not starting would turn out for the reserves with the youngsters and shout out them a lot and push them around physically.  It has merits for when they step up.

    Í agree,  DCFC only.
I’m disillusioned with the way football is run and only clinging on because I love the Rams

I haven't watched any other football, bar the Euros in patches, last season or this season.  I feel so far removed from the Anfields and Old Traffords nowadays they may as well not exist. I think a lot of it is the buying up and renting back of young players by premier league clubs   Different league so you don't know how they'd perform, but we had to let go two players for around 2.6 million, who will get loaned out for double that over the next 12 months, to Liverpool and Man city. Those two players in our squad this year could have got upwards of 15 million if they played to potential.  Whole thing makes me barf to be honest.

Come on Jack O'Connell and Niall Horan it's time to invest into your club !!

Niall Horan .  If he offers a free concert for 10 people to whoever buys the the club, there's the possibility you could see some spoilt child of a billionaire  stamping there foot and demanding daddy buys the club to get it, in some kind of golden ticket, Veruca Salt parody.

Might be the most promising option.

What’s Ashley done soooooo wrong at Newcastle?

What were the realistic aspirations for that Club?

World domination of course, as befits the most passionate and loyal fan base in the world. I remember there being 16,000 in there when I went in 91-92 and 1500 were from Derby, after they slipped into the bottom 3 they were averaging 13,000, but lets not ruin a good story.

I started the thread after reading a piece which said "Teesside Live understands Boro are indeed continuing to pursue their action against the Rams." And Angie seemed to confirm this with minutes from Ramstrust (I think). But then she adds (I don't know where thus comes from) that Gibson can't sue us if in administration, but if that were the case I don't understand why we would have engaged lawyers.

But none of this suggests he's not suing the club. It seems pretty clear that he is. Why do you think otherwise?

To try and head him off at the pass, as it's a very conspicuous attempt to suck money that should be keeping us afloat from gate receipts and a red flag to try and put off any investors.  Basically a football league member on the point of going out of business, is doing a job the EFL should be doing with a one off email threatening them with expulsion if they go down the civil route.

Real world and social media are very different, there's a pub up here, landlord is a Leeds fan, son manages content on the Forest website.

Actually had a decent chat, even sympathetic. You scroll through the comments online from your Leeds and Forest fans, most are hidden behind LUFC4EVA type usernames and profile pics of club badges.

Can't let those get to you.

I'm not buying that mate.  Whilst ones distracting you with decent sympathetic chat, the other ones washing his willy in your beer.  That slightly acid flavour is nothing to do with house pilsner they brew on site. Don't believe the hype.

My previous experience of trying to get her to assist in anything is not good.  You may as well try to raise 60 million shaking a tin.

You need to have the money before you can pay it?

I meant by our benefactor who was going to keep paying the bills .  Read in the DET today that by Christmas the administrators will be looking at flogging off the club memorabilia if there's no buyer.  Hope the club got the Watney cup back from the loan at Stoke.

  15. Can anyone realistically explain why this HMRC bill hasn't been paid. It's insanity.  The interest alone will be a beauty and still accruing.  This will make us bust as things stand.  In todays world of immediate information and regs on fairness 50p in the pound won't cut it like 1984, it will need to be paid and interest will accrue on top.  Any payment plan won't freeze interest and if previously defaulted, it won't be over a long period.

Google reckons about 450 million USDollars, so around £333 million = one third of a billion GBP.

Victoria is reputedly worth a similar amount in her own right, so maybe between them, and a few neighbours, they could maybe just about cobble 1 billion pounds together?    ?‍♂️

I'd imagine Victoria would prefer to buy out Peterborough Utd rather than us, though!  ?

She tried to stop them using the nickname The Posh under some trade description law about 20 years ago. Not sure they'd be too keen.
