Santa is one of the interested bidders. More credible than most.

Don't want him near our club.  Terrible abuser of animal rights.  There's rumours he keeps a herd of reindeer locked in a shed 364 days of the year, then drags them out on the 24th December, force feeds them amphetamine laced oats so they can work 24 hrs straight without a break, then back in the barn. Not to mention the shocking working conditions of his elves, on the go for thousands of years , 7 days a week with no pay. We don't want protestors we have enough problems.

Have you seen the videos of him? He must get some proper hidings carrying on like that. He's tiny for a start. It's akin to suicide by footy fan ?‍♀️

He's one of them blokes that's probably never been hit because A-   If I hit him I'll look like I'm picking on a bloke who's hard as a wet fart and could he end up in A&E  or B -  This blokes got some 7 foot silverbacks as backup who've just nipped to the bar,  he only weighs 8 stone. Everyone has a mate like that at some point, starts bother knowing they have others to finish it. You don't normally have them after your mid twenties though. Either way, bet he's got away with it for years.

'Suede' this week,  regardless if you are a big fan of the music or not.. I promise you, Brett is a bloody brilliant front man.

His most memorable ever gig was one at The Assembly Rooms I went to back in the mid 90's.  He seemed to think that ' people in Derby are crazy, they definitely know how to have a good time but there's something a bit wrong somewhere'  Not sure if that's a compliment or not.

This beat I don't really agree with. We got hammered maybe 7 or 8 times that year and looking at the results they were quite evenly spread out.

But definitely, looking at it now the results were much closer than I remember

I remember us taking a couple heavy ones away at Liverpool and Spurs  earlier.  But that last period of 6 or 7 sticks in my mind- home games v Arsenal, Villa and Reading were horrific.

Carl Froch was saying his prime version beats Canelo. Not sure about that as Froch struggled against technical fighters such as Andre Ward who could just outbox him.

The 160, 168 and 175 weight divisions are dead right now. Nobody under 180lbs currently can beat Canelo. Nobody.

Not a chance.  Tweety birds on the canvas in 3 rounds.  His constant droning about Calzaghe always makes me laugh.  Another who would have boxed him silly for fun, even at 37.

They seem to know some very wealthy Malaysian businessmen apparently, none of which appear on the richest Malaysian lists, which says they aren't really loaded, or their money isn't known about.

The same ones Erik knew I assume.  Do you think this is a couple of random teenagers randomly finding peoples numbers, telling them their billionaires from Malaysia and offering them a couple of million to be front of house on a bid for Derby, then hanging up and pissing themselves.

Warnock wasn't too complimentary of Gibson in his post-match interview. He found out in the papers this morning before he was actually told, there's been a new manager lined up for weeks, Gibson isn't as involved/interested as he used to be, and maybe if he was, he'd have given Warnock the tools to achieve more.

Maybe Gibson is too busy trying to drive us out of business to worry about his own football club at the moment?

Yet bar his Cardiff snow rant, always very complimentary about Derby County.  Perhaps that was his downfall.?

If VAR had existed that season, we would have picked up enough points to at least not be holding the record. There were some truly awful refereeing decisions that went against us, and very few that went in our favour. We were a poor team, but did indeed have dreadful rub o' the green.

We actually lost 8 games that season 1-0, missed penalties that would have got us 2 draws  and a win.  And had those two games over Christmas where Newcastle got a last minute equaliser from nowhere and Liverpool beat us 2-1 in injury time after we battered them for 45 minutes.  Our biggest issue as normal was no strikers leading to almost constant pressure as everyone's defence just pushed up into midfield. then the defence disappeared for two months as they just gave up,  those last couple of months were unforgiveable and peddled this myth we got hammered every game.

Strange as a huge chunk of  our support is historically catholic since the 50's and 60's, including a number of true hard cases who may have had those who stuck that up eat the breezeblocks.  Shame they didn't encounter a couple.

I did wonder that.  Seems rather silly for 30 seconds.  Bye Bye Jagielka then in January if were still under embargo.  Is that rank organisational stupidity, or perhaps the way he's performed he's got another offer on better wages for 6 months elsewhere.

I'd wager that you couldn't name 10 other goalkeepers in the division, let alone be in a position to comment on how good they are in comparison to our goalkeepers.

I've always liked the bloke in goal for Millwall.  I suggested him in the summer before it became evident we had some magic beans in the coffers.

  13. our goalies leave at lot to be desired- no expletives I'm past the point.. We really seem to have the balls of a gnat - you just cant do that.

Once again as with Brereton last week, don't complain about supporters acting like 13 yrs in a playground when players are such nobs when they score and act that way.  Shame if Malone picks up a substantial knock second half. Bennett will get one without any assistance most likely.

  14. Some twits just exploded one in the middle of the road outside my house and ran .  British society today is more feral and the fireworks more dangerous than they were 25 years ago. No one's nailing a Catherine Wheel to a bit of wood nowadays. Also there going off for about 10 things every year.  Found 3 empty cartridges in my garden last year.  Have them but organised displays from Friday to Sunday or organised displays for which ever festival it is.  Sure I heard an article on the radio earlier about a company making fireworks easy to put out if they get pushed through your letterbox.  Red flag if it's that bad.

For whatever reason..or is it just coincidence..we have played poorly with CKR in the team recently..

His career would indicate he does ok for short bursts, then moves on.  His short burst here was needed and he did better than I thought he would, but that may have been alongside Gregory who was more physical than what we have.  He certainly faded badly in the last 6 or 7 games of last season.

In terms of playing poorly, that's more to do with bad defending- since Forsyth came back into the team ?  I just don't see what he offers and haven't for 4 seasons culminating in that aberration last game of the season.

Did nothing here for 2 years of real note, despite turning up for a couple of big games.  Played fabulous for the last season he was here- to get a new contract, kept promising to sign one for 3 months  Then buggered off having let it run down, knowing Celtic would get him at a knockdown price.  Remember Clough coming on Radio Derby referring to his state when he came back for pre season '  I don't mind players having downtime for a few weeks but I don't expect them to come back for pre season having lived on burgers and pizzas for 2 months' .  Wouldn't let him train with the others he was that out of shape.  Very good player if he fancied it who just couldn't be arsed most of the time.

You're expecting WAY too much from our wingers then. That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard.

In the past 8 seasons, only 3 players have done that. Ritchie (14/15), Buendia (20/21) and Pereira (19/20).

Buendia was just sold for £40m.

You should get out more mate.  I would suggest digging through 8 years of wingers stats to call someone's opinion ridiculous is far more so.  Why 8 yrs, how about 10, 15 maybe.     Simpson did this regularly for Derby,  Players like Alan Judge did it for Brentford.  Both cost about 500 grand. Bradley Johnson go 16 goals for Norwich playing mostly out wide.

I find you one of the rudest and most opinionated posters on here to be honest, every post has a dig . Lifes to short - ignore.

Can promise you it wouldn't, I've been a kid, never interested then either.

Never even touched a pumpkin, never will.

Plenty of decorations on show round here, yet our door with none is harassed.

Absolutely no chance I would ever in a million years take my kid out knocking on strangers doors for sweets.

    Rather buy them myself.

Never had physical contact with a Leeds fan.  I'm not buying it mate.

I've worked for several companies where they have the pendulum system to disciplinary appeals - anyone can appeal the sanction meted out to them but with the caveat that if they don't convince the new manager overseeing the appeal and they think that the initial punishment was actually too lean then they can increase the punishment and there will be no further recourse for appeal beyond this.

That's sounds like a recipe for disaster.  Someone with high anxiety or in a depressive state would never appeal as the rumination of the issue getting worse would prevent it.  Hence, they would be far easier to bully for any over officious toady in the workplace.

  20. As a winger you should be getting 15-20 clear assists and scoring 8-10 goals per season.  You should make the full back hesitant to go forward very often.  If your not doing that, your not contributing what's required.

If we had more options, he wouldn't be getting games.

Don't know if he's not settled or just not great but time to move along when we can start trading again.
