Sometimes you just have to admit, the best team won.

And credit where credit is due, the Andre Gray goal was pretty special, calling it a fluke is pretty disrespectful.

Nah. it was shocking defending. Almost slow motion with three players standing in front.  I'd back myself to spin in a semi circle and bury that with so much space.

They seem to be a bit of a bogey team for us. Remember them scoring twice in added time a few seasons ago, Wembley (of course) and do we ever win in Shepherd's Bush?

Charlie Austin totally devoid of any class, too.

We did get those two lovely injury time goals against them in 2019 mind

He is doing pretty well but people are getting over excited. Barely played a forward pass all game. Showing promise, neat and tidy but nothing progressive.

    Puts tin hat on.

Reminds me very much of Hansons first 3 games.  He may have suffered a bit from less game time than this lad might have and never really progressed. I expect us to be giving a whole raft of 16 year olds 5 minutes on the pitch between now and January in case we need to sell them.  If he winds up on the bench he might never play again as his place is swallowed by this weeks embryo from the  youth team   Early days.

He is doing well, but every time a decent young player emerges, fans lose their poo over them. Only Hughes was worth the hype.

So far he looks as promising as Bird and Knight.

Barnes was the best young player we've produced.  Till his baalocks grew bigger than his head and he changed his name to Billy.  That 6 months warming Fulhams bench wasn't worth it really.

Austin, Gray or Dykes would indeed all add something to our team.

But they would also need the service to boot. The question is, would they get it in this team and under this manager?

They would add a very strange nob head who likes to stand in front of kids making crying motions with his hands, someone with very dubious and unpleasant characteristics in the pretty recent past and someone with concrete feet who could barely trap a barrage balloon at 2mph. I'm alright to be honest.  ?

Have I said before he reminds me of Dawkins? Got all the quality you’d want but because of his career and lack of game time he lacks the experience, instinct or just a willingness to gamble.

Its a lack of games for your age essentially

I always rated Dawkins.  Very hard to get the ball off and used to hold possession to bring others into play.  I'm not seeing any attributes to Morrison at all to be honest other than we can't lose money on a transfer fee this time.

  7. Well that's a bugger .  Lack of composure costs.  Retain the ball in the final third the opposition don't score.  Simple really.   Time for Morrison and Richards to find there 40th club between them it seems.  Totally pants both of them.  Roos costs us so much possession as well.

Charlie Austin what a banker for his goal celebrations.  Ball through looked offside? Any TV watchers think the same?

Seems to have a thing about Derby . Remember him sticking two fingers up at the family stand when he scored for Burnley.  Or perhaps he's jut a twit everywhere. He seems to regularly have the Malone haircut, must go with the personality.  Hopefully gets a fist full of goalie glove in the mush at one of these many corners. Bell cheese.

I’d sell Jozwicack if anyone would pay $€ for him and try and get a cheaper (free) option that would contribute more. Failing that give his place to someone from within.

He seems to have had no game time for quite a while, which smells of trying to avoid injury to move him on.  Wouldn't be surprised to see him back at his old club in lieu of transfer instalments we owe them in January.  We certainly have no chance of getting back his fee.

And people singling out their scapegoat too...gather John McGovern used to cop for a bit which might in part explain why he's embraced Forest so much since leaving us.

It boggles the mind how one man's ego can purely be focused on getting rid of such a successful setup. Either Kirkland believed the club would stay successful long after Clough (a tall order in a manager dominated age) or he wasn't bothered by the collateral damage. From what I've read, there were shades of grey in the Longson v Clough conflict but at least Sam funded the big signings that Clough wanted.

From what I've heard from a few older Forest fans I've worked with over the years, he used to get a right hammering there even when they had were winning trophies.  I think the truth is he never got over leaving the Rams for such a backwater and had to bury his medals from here in the garden, then undergo a lobotomy for the years up to 1973 to purge himself of it.

Context: imagine working as a junior IT technician at Derby Uni, learning the ropes but with a chance to eventually be head of the computer team. Apple contact you with an offer which could potentially lead to being their head IT guy

Context-  Your talking Bayern Munich not Brighton and in the real world that job offer not happening as a 15 year old making tea.

That’s not good. He’d impressed me whenever I’d seen him play. Would imagine we must get some compensation from that deal.

Getting a bit tired of these youngsters getting 5 years use of state of the art facilities, coaching, nutritionists,  educational welfare assistance and top end end injury treatment and contracts which they get at the expense of another would have loved it, then pissing all over it .  Wish him nothing but a crap career.  Sounds bitter, it should.

  13. I liked the first 3, or 4-6 as they became.  The rest are a right convoluted bag of old poo and rehashed ideas.  I persevered for a bit but then decided my initial thought from 20 years ago was right.  All Star Wars films after Return of the Jedi.  Aston Villa 6 Derby 0 - out of 10

    Anyone in mind?

I can certainly see Arsenal taking Bielik back for the 3 million we owe them for this season and flogging him on the same day for  5 to a club at the arse end of the premier table or someone with a bit of parachute money to take a chance on his knee -  if they get 10 games before he breaks down staying up or promotion is cash well spent.  Always seemed a bit strange them deferring payment due.

And there's always Burnley who are two years behind with their customary signing from us at £1.50.

Hate to say it but Forest averaging 24k and 17th in the league is bloody impressive. Points deduction away we're not having a wildly different season.

Fiver a ticket for 23 yrs old and under .  Season tickets for 23 and under for £ 100, or see the match for less than it cost to buy the pint before as its known.  24 K is shocking at those rates

How do we lose to Peterborough and Barnsley if we can do this?

Should have beat Peterborough.  They had 10 minutes of the game and got 2 from their only 2 chances. We have that in us I'm afraid - see Luton.  Barnsley I don't know.  I expect us to finish above them -21 or not .  That's how uber cack they are

Let’s keep messing up everyone else’s plans - if we are relegated it won’t be on the football pitch

Reading play Hull next week so a chance to make ground with a win next week.  ohh were on the BBC news talking about twice league champions being in admin and radical change to football rules needed.  Got distracted there -  QPR will be a tough one, under the radar and quietly effective.  Win that though - makes a proper statement with 7 from 9 very tough points.
