Those odds will change if even 3 or 4 of the trialists sign. Right now it’s hard to argue that the side we’d be able to put out would be anything but relegation certainties.
If we have two (at least) established centre backs then we may be able to compete, but again our fate would largely depend on luck with injuries.
Even if every trialist signed tomorrow, I’d take a 21st place finish right now.

The interview with Rooney he very clearly stated that it would be 48 hours or this week. It was very clear.
One thing we can't control is EFL approval. Most signings are normally announced pending EFL approval. Sure that's not something we can now do in case the EFL play more tricks post announcement. Think Kieftenbeld.
Whether people are announced today, tomorrow, Thursday, Friday or Saturday doesn't matter really. What matters is that Rooney and Co have agreed who comes in and prepare the team as such this week.
As with any takeover the club has seen the damage caused by announcing anything too early. Hopefully they are finally learning from their mistakes.
Likewise if nobody comes in this week then it impacts one game. In a long long season.

I assume the status of youngsters is where the embargo is p&s related so its 24 established players but u21s dont count and players have to have played 5 games to qualify as established players

Good enough offer and off he goes, like any other player.
Last week I saw Uronen moving from Belgium to France for a million and he he is way better player than Buchanan... So if we could get couple millions, I'm certain he could be replaced for less money. Heck, we might get replacement for free á la Neil Taylor.

So, a young guy who made a mistake, had lost a parent and was out with the team captain has no chance of redemption.?
he was fit to play, fit to fulfill his contract, got his head down, was contrite, scored a few goals and got on with it.

OK, for me Curtis has Captain written in his DNA but just maybe this is what it takes to lift Tom to another level ?
I’m all for giving him a chance.

So now the government are saying that potentially post September they will demand that you must be double jabbed to be at a large event.  That being an event over 16k.
Therefore I would say its quite wise for Derby not to have season tickets on sale at this stage I order that whatever rules are in place can be adhered to without the need to suck a load of cash back out of the business.
The admin burden alone of ensuring that is adhered to is surely prohibitively expensive for clubs!?!

In all manner of threads there's mention of money owed to HMRC but I've not seen anything saying how much, when it became due, why it became due and what happens now. It seems as if everyone knows apart from me, but I thought I'd open a thread so some of you on the forum can explain to those of us who have been slow to catch on.
    Thanks

They are part of the 5 because they are free agents. They don't have a club just like the others. Their last club just happens to be Derby.
I'd be taking Davies, Jagielka, Morrison, Wisdom and Aluko.
I'd also look at selling Hutchinson and Watson for nominal amounts to bring in another player.
I retain a hope that Marshall and/or Roos will be sold and we'll being I'm a couple of new keepers. I'd take Alsopp over both.

First post on the forum. Not sure if anyone has picked up on this at dcfc.co.uk but thought I'd share.

Derby County is committed to responsible gambling, and unbranded kits are available by emailing DCFCmegastore@dcfc.co.uk; and the junior kits will not be branded.
glad this is being made available for anyone not liking the sponsor or wanting a simplier shirt. I've ordered a plain one.

Seems a sensible approach. I see many on twitter and FB are moaning and twisting it to be the club taking the fans for a ride. The sames fans would be moaning if they were being asked to pay out.
Some will see it as a sure sign of a takeover. Some see it as a sure sign of immediate administration.  There is also the fact that we may still get a points deduction which I know a number of Wednesday fans complained that they had paid for an ST for a side that was effectively relegated, as they saw it.
My view is that it's a sensible and pragmatic approach to an unprecedented situation.  The club has addressed the issue for 20/21 season ticket holders who will get their tickets without paying out. 19/20 but none 20/21 ticket holders get a discounted rate.  Everyone else can try and buy on a match by match basis. Seems eminently sensible. Will result in reduced attendances but the costs are probably offset against the burden  of managing refunds at that scale which no business wants to do.
I do think some Derby fans will be really disappointed if we get a decent ownership group....what will they have to moaning about then?
