Wayne and the team are two good strikers away from top eight standard team. Very good effort today from a leggy team.
Most of the teams that finish in the bottom half of the championship are.
Also I’m not sure how much effort you can attribute a team from just from audio. There was a lack of effort from a few players today that isn’t mentioned in commentary, mainly off the ball. Being second to react is also about effort and we were guilty of this for the first 45.

maybe this international break came at the right time.
At least Jozwiak might get some game time ?

Awfully good point added to our total. We are a middle of the league standard team
Awfully disappointed we didn’t get 3 pts. Swansea are 19th and have won 2 games. We’re at home, with great support off the back of a good performance against a Reading team doing quite well so far.
These Awfully good points (1) we will amass at home against lower league opposition will only serve to maybe take us into double figures, given our away form.
Anyways, a better 2nd half, we had the better chances and should have scored . This is why I can’t share the opinion that a point at home against Swansea serves us much purpose.

Not seen it but this sounds the most frustrating thing. Not what a captain should do. A chance for Jack Stretton to score his first Pride Park goal on his first league start but the skipper doesn't give him the ball and the opportunity is gone. And now Stretton is off, confidence diminished.
Pretty much a fair description

Thought TL was poor today, lots of strolling around, then a text came in to RD bigging up Tom?

Why has he bought ebosele on instead of joz. That has baffled me tbh
Have we got a contract issue with Jozwiak, like with the Marshall rumour?

Yeah, an enjoyable game. Was clear it was going to be quite open early on. First half they gave us enough time to play some nice football. Should’ve buried them really, love to play them every week. Shout out to the whole team!
I want to single certain players for moments of magic, but will resist as the whole team were great.

Not that it makes it ok for our away ends behaviour. But some of the subject matter, especially the range of intoxicants is not just rife in football fans it’s not an exclusive thing.
Thing is, I’ve hit the age where I’m not sure whether it’s worse now or it was just the same when I was that kind of age but wasn’t shocked by it?
Maybe it’s the way it is and the way it will always be? I don’t know.

Every time I've been to an away game I've left disappointed with some of our unsavoury fans. Didn't surprise me in the slightest to hear about this incident either. We have a large core of unpleasant fans that regularly attend away matches.
But let’s not think that this is just a DCFC thing.

Sure you would! Have you ever been to a away match?
I didn’t mean my reply to sound so blunt, but the reality is that these chants are sung by extremely large groups of people that are either intoxicated or full of hate or both. Either way, going round telling them to shut up is a bit futile and only going to possibly put yourself in the firing line. I have many times felt like making my feelings known, but the absolute futility in the gesture is quite obvious. Unless you’re Jean-Claude Van Damme of course. Even then you get nicked and a life ban.

And yet he encourages it by ignoring the decent Derby fans and encouraging the abuse? No sign of him being the 'better man'.
I’ll start by saying I’m glad you started this thread @B4ev6is
However @RoyMac5 I’m on Billy’s side with this. I was there and the two chants in question were so loud and relentless, it must have sounded like the whole crowd were singing them. I remember being a bit bemused at the content as it seemed very specific and I’ve heard absolutely nothing about Billy’s character that could precipitate any kind of attack, never mind this!!
I can only think that it was started by some deadheads and others thought there was some substance to it to join in!?! Even so it was bad on so many levels.
On Sunday, I saw a Ram page on Facebook where Derby were being accused by Sheffield fans ( who I guess weren’t there) of singing about Billy’s son. Now I can’t be 100% about that but I certainly didn’t hear anything like that. Surely even moronic idiots don’t stoop that low, I certainly hope so. Social media maybe got two incidents roped together.
The thing is, we cannot complain about a horrible chant people might mistakenly think some fans chanted. As those fans shouldn’t have been chanting what they ACTUALLY did. If you’re not singing vile untrue songs about players you won’t be suspected of singing others. DCFC doesn’t need any more enemies, but who could blame them.
The behaviour of these people can’t be blamed on their Vices, as a (very) younger man I was no angel, but never resorted to this kind of abuse.

To anyone that can remember the classic clash song ‘Rudie can’t fail’
The first verse…..
Now we get a rude and a reckless
To be seen lookin' cool an' speckless
And drinking brew for breakfast
Rudie can't fail (no, no, no)
could be changed to…
Morris been spending money to reckless
Been an old fool and feckless
Wayne will eat the EFL for breakfastRoooooney can’t fail
No no no
Roooooooney can’t fail
second verse…
I know that my life make you nervous
But I tell you I can't live in service
Like the doctor who was born for a purpose
Rudie can't fail (ok)
changed to…I know that our club makes you nervous
But when kazim gets the right service
Like a scouser who was born for a purpose
Roooooooney can’t fail
Roooooooooney can’t fail
This song made for Rooney,
Listen to the last few minutes!!!!!
even sounds like Rooney can’t fail !!
