I find that I can't be unbiased in football , even in random games between teams I have no affiliation for, and I don't always know who I'm supporting until there is a chance or a goal, then my reaction tells me who I want to win, sometimes it surprises me!! ??

But I might be a bit strange!!!

Weird innit, when watching premiership games, when I couldn’t care less at kick off who wins, gets decided at some point.  It’s usually if I think a decision I don’t agreed with, or players that quite obviously cheat and the commentator tries to convince us it’s a foul because a player taps a guy on the shoulder and he goes down.  Sometimes it’s the colour of the kit ?.

But you’re right, it’s almost impossible ( fo me) to watch a match without routing for one of the teams.

After watching the rams since 1968, could never support another team. Think that will be me done with football.?

Think everyone on here is in the same boat.  I remember being asked this by  a mate at work who follows Notts County ( we bonded with our shared hatred of Florist) when they looked like dropping out. Like I said, I’d go to Mickleover Sports just to watch some football, but it wouldn’t be the same as supporting them.  There’s a bar and a Burger van and the standard is quite good.  Still, let’s not give up hope.

Have you really heard this rumour from a “reliable” source or has someone just made the story up?

Even if it were true, why would they be asking the EFL? As I understand it, the EFL only consists of The Championship, League 1 and League 2. There is no way that a brand new club would join the football pyramid anywhere near any of those levels.

This is why I was asking the question. I’m not claiming it came from someone completely ITK, but someone who seems to follow things closely and claims to know a few people.  It was an odd thing to be told, I admit.

I agree with everyone saying Morrison was poor. It would have been nice to see Sibley central, roaming on the half turn as that’s where he’s best. It’s a shame he’s been off it the last 12 months or so. Hopefully he builds his confidence up more in the 23s.

Just scored 3 against Arsenal u23’s

  5. Just got back so not read the thread.  Flounced at a top level all the way back to the car.  We should’ve had a point out of that really.  Two pretty avoidable goals as per usual.

Obvious candidates for the mistakes leading to their goals, but was more peeved at Morrison being played where he was, with none of the rotation we’ve seen.  He was/is so ineffective there, no real press, no runs, never dropped into a pocket of space to show for the ball.  That can’t be all down to him.  He must’ve been following instructions?!

One more gripe as I’m boring myself now, Jozwiak.  Didn’t win one ball, didn’t look remotely interested in winning one.  The players that are still fighting looked dead on their feet second half and should be applauded for their efforts, carrying the weight of the teams predicament on their shoulders is weighing heavy on their legs.
I think the lesson to be learned here is to not start typing away as soon as you get home without thinking about it first, only to realise how tired you are and just trail off into the ………….

Really? OK. Let me enlighten you.

Without the points deduction, we're clear of the relegation zone. We're much better than last season. We've just deservedly beaten the league leaders and we've got our best player to come back.

So, yes, without the points deduction, I'd be confident we would stay up.

Unless I’ve read the posts incorrectly, I thought @Tyler Durden was saying this?

You can not be offside in your own half. But the free kick from the offside can end up being placed/taken in the defending teams half.

Saying that, I'm sure today was one of the only times the law has been implemented and the ref is now in the pub trying to tell anyone who'll listen to him that he implemented the rule.

? I’ll try this on a Sunday morning, running the line for my lads U18 side.  See if I’ve got time to explain this  rule before I hit the ground ?

Instead of conceding from the back? Definitely and twice on a Sunday ?

At Barnsley, CKR won pretty much every ball hoofed at him, flicked it on and Baldrick didn’t manage to get on one of them.  So yeah it’s a waste of time hoofing it up towards Baldrick.
CKR seemed to be below par today in this regard.  Didn’t seem to win much in the air, something he’s usually really good at.

  10. Just got back so not read through the thread, so everything’s probably been said already. Anyways, after the Roos shocker and their well worked second, I thought heads would drop and we could lose by 3 or 4.

Proud of the lads today, no point listing names as they all did us proud.  Except Liam Thomson!  What a debut, on sky, against top of the league! Some exciting young players on the books. That’s probably the best debut since when I came on for Redwood Raiders U8’s in the last 10 minutes and scored 2 goals. After all the obstacles thrown in our way, we outplay and beat Bore-mouth. COYR ????
