Great point, done by a one off wonder strike that Wildsmith so nearly pushed away. Thought Warne got the tactics right. If we'd gone all out attack pretty sure we'd have lost that. Nelson & Cashin rocks. Collo worked his socks off, as did CBT, who was toast at the end. Adams is class and broke up so much in the middle. Really hoped NML would shine tonight but he had a quiet one by his standards. But a point's a point, away to the league leaders. It's still in our hands.

Even if we won tonight, Pompey to beat Bolton all day long!
I really couldn't care less about catching Portsmouth, I guarantee you that come around 14:30 on Saturday 27th April, if we are sitting in 2nd place, not one single part of me will be disappointed we didn't win the league.
Get us up, get us out of this league, 2nd will be perfect thank you.

Few exciting options off bench compared to what they had so happy with that. Too emotionally invested but someone at work just messaged to say how much they enjoyed it especially compared to top of EPL this weekend!

Take that, for sure. Yes, it could've been more but this point could make such a difference, it's no longer on goal difference if Bolton win their game in hand.
We defended superbly, undone by a brilliant strike, which I don't think Wildsmith was at fault for despite getting a touch on the ball. Obviously if that had not gone in, we don't know how we would've held up, it would have been like the alamo as we were getting deep a bit too early, that's my only criticism.
The point suits both of us. A defeat would've been disastrous, not only with zero points for us, but in the battle Portsmouth have going forward.
In avoiding defeat, it means unless they lose vs Shrewsbury and Bolton beat Bristol Rovers, they can confirm their promotion against Bolton. In avoiding defeat we've basically given them the perfect opportunity against our closest challengers.
Before today, I would've been delighted with 4 points from Portsmouth and Wycombe. If we don't beat Wycombe then tonight's result becomes disappointing. However if we can beat Wycombe, then we put ourself 2 wins away from promotion. Tonight's result has basically allowed us a fantastic opportunity to get ourselves over the line.
    Happy with that.

A mention to Sibley, a shaky first 10/15 but after that he did very well against one of the best wingers in the league.

You sir, are suffering from Ramnesia.
A very specific form of memory loss affecting Derby County fans who regularly forget the true meaning of the Derby Way, which is for the club to instill hope and optimism in its supporters despite a long and consistent track record of disappointment.
I jest of course, we're going to win 4-0 and sell Kwaku Oduroh for £11m in the off season...

Just for one night can we ditch Paul warnes barmy army that only half of us sing anyway and replace it with B4s barmy army who predicted this even when the wrist slashers were out in full force.  It would be great for his family to hear,  either his dad who will be there or his sister on the telly

    Hi Rams fans,
Have been following your forum for a wee while and thought I'd stick my nose in.
Registering took a while but I got there in the end, so.
To quote Neil Young, 'Tonight's The Night'. I guess tonight's game isn't pivotal, but things might be a little clearer..
Last night's results didn't help either of our clubs, in the end it's in our own hands.
Main reason for joining Rams board is the family split that exists....I am Pompey, my son is Derby., He and I have had
little contact due to past ructions between his mum and I...Last time I saw him he was a part time Celtic fan. (He was
born in Scotland, where I lived and was married for some 20 years. I took him to see a couple of Pompey games but
he wasn't impressed, took him to my school where I was a goalie...unimpressed. It was only when my ex remarried that
the Rams bug seemed to bite. Dunno if picture will show on this thread.
Tonight will be interesting, even if it's a dull game. A draw would suit us fine and I have to say that our final games fill
me with some dread. We had a 'blip' earlier in the season and recovered. This time, any blip will not be recoverable.
I have followed Pompey for over 55 years (youngsters refuse to believe me when I tell them we have an innate ability
to mess up just as we're about to cross finishing line. (I guess this is what attracted me to Hearts when in Edinburgh,
very similar ground, fan base and fatal flaws!) How you can beat us....classified I'm afraid but we have some very obvious
weaknesses you can exploit. Don't go into game looking for a point, teams that have done well at Fratton have come out
    and taken game to us.
Why are we top of the league? Many fans mutter 'They're nothing special..have seen much better' These fans are often right.
Many of our performances have been sub-optimal BUT the one aspect that has run through most games is a newfound
belief that, even if we o 0-2 down, the situation is recoverable. Games last 95 minutes or so these days...we manage to keep
believing the situation is retrievable. It's this that has sent us to the top...plus a pretty stingy defence, a creative midfield
and strikers who, on their day can tear any League One side to shreds. Last game against Wycombe their left back wanted
to go off suffering from 'twisted blood'. (Gag borrowed from Man Utd, George Best joke.) On their day, Kamara and Yengi,
supported by Bishop and Saydee are a real handful.
Lat night's results went pretty much according to form but previous games have shown all the maths and super computers
in the world simply cannot predict what will actually happen.
I hope you guys go up....Derby are a 'proper' club, part of the game's history BUT...so are we. Nobody has a divine right to be
'top of the tree'.....Anyone else remember the hushed tones from tv pundits when the mighty Man Utd were relegated?
It was as if there had been a death in the family.
Treat both success and failure as imposters....keep supporting your club. Good luck to all Rams making the journey down..
I see a few travelled down over the weekend and have already sampled some of our local beers.
    All the best Rams...., Nick

I’d be very interested to know what their wage budget is for this season and reckon it would be around the figures you’re quoting for top 6.
However - £23.6m being 14th highest wage bill and £35.9m being 7th highest is frightening!! When Mel was going mad overpaying our wage bill was £45m so not much more. Just shows we’ve got it all on to compete when we do get back to the championship. Hopefully being leaner with a couple of astute signings, clever use of loan market and a couple of academy players able to make the step up at the right time will give us a chance.

At least you got an FA cup win and a trip to AC Milan for your misery.  We got Richard Keogh and Tom Lawrence doing the Dukes of Hazard and Wazza looking like a weeble for 6 months..😂 I think we shared the same financial wizardry of Andronikou however. A real treat.

I think, as a reluctant owner, he will always be looking for a sale. BUT, as a true fan and having seen what we've been through, I strongly suspect he will be extremely cautious about who he sells to.

Pompey fan, in peace.  I read (a lot) and posted (a little) when you were having issues with the ownership.
I just wanted to pass on my belated condolences for B4's passing - as an outsider it was clear how much he cared about your club.  It's lovely to see how much warmth he commands and how he's being remembered.
I'm sure it doesn't need explaining that I hope my club gets up, but having read some of this thread I hope you manage to make it up with us.  It's also a great reminder that football clubs are all about the people who support them.  Raising a glass to Daniel this evening.

He wasn't 'mentally' ready for first team football prior to this loan to be fair. It was obvious he had the physicality to cope, and his goal record at youth level showed he had that killer instinct. However, when given his brief chances in the first team, he looked lost.
The only way for him to overcome it was from game time, and I think it was reasonable to give him starts in Cup competitions. Unfortunately, he never got those chances.
It still took him a few sub apps to get over that mental block when at Gateshead. His first goal was just what he needed to get going. Is it 8 goals and 2 or 3 assists in his last 7 games?

I really love that the memorial brick says B4
Was he known by this anywhere else, or is it a symbol of his legacy on this small corner of the Internet and the legacy he has left here?
Feels disingenuous to say I miss him because I really didn't know him, and those who did, they actually miss him for real.
But I definitely miss his contributions and his enthusiasm and his passion
