  1. I've just been looking at some statistics and realised we perform a lot worse against back 3 opposition than against back 4.

In our last 33 games, 21 have been back 3 and 12 have been back 4. I'm not sure if teams are purposely playing a back 3 against us or if it's just that a back 3 seems to be the most popular formation these days.

    Win percentages:

    Against back 3: 23.8%

    Against back 4: 33.3%

We've only lost 2 games against back 4 teams all season. One was against Blackburn when they were flying, and the other was against Huddersfield when Stearman got sent off in the 3rd minute.

A positive is our last three wins have all been against back 3 teams, so hopefully that indicates Rooney is addressing this.

Not sure what to do with this information or whether it's relevant in any way but just thought I'd put it down. ?

I'll probably get slated for this, but my initial reaction upon hearing it on RD... and backed up by seeing it here... is:

    I don't like it!

Yeah yeah... kid... hero... I get that.

But there's a time and a place for kids meeting/getting selfies... in fact, quite a few times and places, with a bit of planning... but this particular time and place just ain't it.

I can only assume the usual, and added security, were all surrounding "Curly Sue and The Parmolettes"?

When do 8 year olds become 12 year olds become 15 year olds become knife wielding thugs?  Who is drawing that line, and where is it being drawn?
He didn't shout Rooney over from nearby seats, or hold up a begging Banner... He literally ran half the length of the pitch (Assuming he came from the same place he returned to?)

No.  This gets a big thumbs down from me.
    Shame on the matchday security.
Shame on the boys parent(s)/guardian(s) (whether they were there or not, and whether they were encouraging it or not).

Sad to see Rooney play along with it, instead of shooing the lad away, or at least stepping back, but it's fair to say, he's actually in a no-win situation there, and I can fully understand his reaction, so I'm loathe to "Shame" him too.
He should not be put in that position.

    ?

I think it was Chelsea who said they're going to ban the parents of children who run onto the pitch, which is what all clubs should do in my opinion.

Also, if a club can get fined for 'not controlling their players', they should get fined for their stewards not controlling the crowd, but Gibson's got the EFL at gunpoint so nothing will happen.

In reality no club is going to pay the going value to a club in admin. We didn’t when Wigan were so we can hardly complain. And yes they made good comments, they still put in a decent offer considering the circumstances for a player who had played less than 10 games for us. So for me they do have much more respect than most.

I wouldn't say they get more respect, I'd say they get less disrespect than others. I wouldn't expect any respect from Wigan for what we did. Nothing they did wasn't in their interest. They got a promising player for a cheap price and loaned him back to a club he's already settled at to improve.

Thread for listing the people clubs and organizations who come out of this with my respect, who I think can get in the bin.

    Respect:

    DCFC fans

    Crystal palace

    Blackpool

    Rooney

    Rosenoir

    The squad

The players who didn't want to leave us like this

    Get in the bin:

    The EFL

    Mel Morris

    Steve Gibson

    Rob couhig

    Stephen Pearce

    Quantuma

    Watford

Please everyone chip in your lists and we'll maybe come up with a representative list.

Please explain why Palace get respect? They underpaid massively for one of our players. Is it because they said 'nice words' afterwards to cover themselves?

Why would a club need to be in admin to be sued by a fellow league member ? The EFL have opened the floodgates and some massive claims could arise, which would be enough to bankrupt certain clubs.

They don't,  but if a clubs in admin they can't defend themselves, so every club might as well sue them for any reason they can think of. If the admin club doesn't pay out, they go extinct. The suing club has nothing to lose.

Tthe cowardly EFL have inadvertently acknowledged here that they DO actually recognise the claims by Boro and Wycombe to be football debts.

I don’t think there can be any question now that they are actively opting in favour of those two clubs and are happy to see our football club DIE for their benefit.

This is absolutely outrageous and they MUST know that THIS is what is stopping a preferred bidder being named as well. THEY are killing this club and we as a fan base should not stand for it.

    Anti-EFL protest needs organising.

They're not on the side of Boro and Wycombe, they're on the side of Gibson only. He must have some control that goes right to the top of the EFL.

Nothing but classy comments from Palace chairman Steve Parish and Lyke Plange himself over on the Crystal Palace website.

It's restored a little bit of my faith in football.

    Why is it classy?

If you look at the facts Palace have still taken advantage of our situation and got a cut price deal for Plange. Loaning him back to us is good for them as well.

Ryan Allsop has pulled his arm off hasn't he? That's why they should stay at their own end, bloody keepers.

Seriously though, I've watched it several times and I can't work out where he got injured.

I've watched it in slow motion and he's already holding his arm before Alsop arrives. I think he did it getting up off the ground.
