Ward-Prowse is one of the most underrated players in the PL.

As much as some might try to think otherwise, England are primarily a set-piece team and should just embrace it. Get the big lads on the pitch with Ward-Prowse on delivery.

Not sure why Dier isn't even in the squad as he's been the best English CB in the PL this season playing in a back 3 and he's deceptively quick as well. It's just a trend to hate Maguire at the moment but he usually plays well for England. Could play Tomori for a bit more pace.

If anyone thinks Mike Ashley is the bloke to buy us in the next 2 weeks, that ain't happening. Whilst he holds the position of not wanting to pay the administrators a penny, and low-balling creditors, he will be bottom of the pile.

The only way Mike Ashley gets us is if the club goes right down to a liquidation deadline and the administrators agree to only taking a percentage of their 'earnings' as part of the rescue deal to stop the club liquidating.

We need someone other than Mike Ashley if we are to start on anything other than - 15 points and have a chance of putting a competitive squad together and keeping Rooney for the coming season.

Mike Ashley is always waiting for that deadline. He does this multiple times a year. He must be thinking Kirchner has pushed the deadline so close that he now stands a chance. I have nothing against his approach. He's a fine contingency plan to have, but we need someone else.

    In my opinion, of course.

That the way he usually buys things but maybe football is different as he paid £135m for Newcastle. If he was out to purely make money, there's much more effective ways then football to do that.

Nothing out there actually says for a fact Ashley made a formal bid to the administrators at any point.

He was at the least preparing a bid. Before Quantuma started ignoring him and then effectively telling him to 'go away'.

No, he absolutely should not have.

The man is a well-known business vulture - he waits in the shadows until the business is on its knees before swooping in and putting a tenner on the table.

He will let us get to the point of having absolutely nothing to our name - no Rooney, no player re-signings - before offering a derisory amount that will see us start with -15. All for the sake of getting something a little bit cheaper than market value.

I promise you, he should only ever be a last, last, absolutely final choice.

What possible reason would Ashley have to own a club in League 1 or 2? Wouldn't it be in his interest, if he wanted to use us for advertising Sports Direct etc, to have us in the Champ or Prem? Ashley already made a bid months ago so isn't waiting until the last moment

For all we know, he could be the only one with the literal funds to buy the club

    Did he actually bid?

Yes but he wanted the stadium for less than Mel valued it, and the other 3 either promised more for the stadium or didn't want it as part of the deal. Once again Mel decided to gamble and trust the others.

  6. Ashley should have been first choice all along. Everyone knows he's got the funds. He's got past experience running a club.

It's obvious the only reason he wasn't picked is because Mel/Quantuma want an unrealistic amount of money and keep trusting these dodgy characters out of desperation.

If the deal collapses we won't have time to complete another one. Rooney will go. If we're not kicked out the league entirely we'll highly likely get relegated to League 2 next season.

If CK is awash with funds gained through smart business acumen why buy DCFC?

We see he has sponsored well known sporting events to forward his company but he has said Slyco will not be the shirt sponsor. He says it’s not the right vehicle for his business and he is probably right. So what is DCFC to be used for? What is his motivation?

If it’s purely a vanity project then a couple of years kicking around league one will see that wear thin in short order.

If you're a multimillionaire, what else do you spend your money on?

Where do these numbers come from? As we know they are incorrect for those that signed last summer as they are capped at £4500...... and you believe the rest?

Why anyone believes these lists when they haven't been published by the relevant players or clubs I don't know, pure speculation  delivered as fact yet again.

I never said they were facts, but they give a general idea of highest earners etc. You've commented on it saying players on £4,700 should be on £4,500 because they were signed last summer. It's not a million miles away is it.
