Tbf people are going to sing that at us even if they don't mean it. That's the bravado between fans.
I don't mind them singing it. I mind more about their opinions when they think they know our situation and clearly don't. Because they spread misinformation
Definitely appreciate the support of rival fans but those that don't like us... join the likes of Boro, Forest etc at the EFL HQ then you can all be in one place when we tell them to feck themselves.

It is if you forget that we wouldn't have breached multiple periods had our perfectly valid amortisation policy been allowed, or had been able to correct our course with the EFL acting earlier and saying no to the method rather than letting us use it for a other couple of years.

Coming out of administration is like making love to a beautiful woman.
You have to satisfy every point, keep your assets for as long as possible and get others on board to make sure she’s there for the long haul.

You're my sweetest honey.  My one true love.
My brightest star, from high above.
But despite all that, I have to tell,
I'd much rather duck the EFL.

To you my dear, I pledge to thee
My heart, my love, from bended knee.
But I'm rather busy.  I've plenty on.
As I try to claw back the twenty one.

It's been a battle, but we remain as one.
Regrets behind us, now all gone.
Hearts once broken, but now on the mend,
And just like Derby, we'll fight to the end.

As an aside to all this, an indication as to how a club can have a bearing on a persons mental health is this. My dad died suddenly on 31 Jan 22 and the first time I started to feel any cheer since his death was on Tuesday night watching Derby score 3 goals. It broke the malaise.

As is already being said, the silence is deafening. However, as has gone on before somebody will break cover, say something crass/wrong/misleading which will create a backlash, further reciprocal communications etc. Gibson’s silence is likely due to the double edged sword MM served him on Friday, he is trying to think of his next move, get his ducks in a row as anything else he says needs to be unpickable, it won’t be though as it is a baseless claim.
It would be great if on Friday he claims to backdown or go to court within MM, it may stop the inevitable issues which follow this kind of thing to football grounds with the wastrels of the world kicking off. Currently the WWFC “claim” is just a distraction and will only be visited if Gibson can prove his claim is legit, I would concern myself with the Gibson claim and not even entertain WWFC until they actually table a claim.

I have said it before and will continue to do so. The EFL have Peter Ridsdale on their board. The same Peter Ridsdale who was banned from being a director of any company from 2012-2020 for siphoning £350k into his personal bank account not a business account.
The EFL ladies and gentlemen, rotten to the core.

    Yes there does.
Even if Mel is prepared to indemnify the club (which I doubt), surely he would be waiting for Middlesbrough and Wycombe to reject his current offer to pursue him instead of the club first. I suspect their response would be that their case is against the club not an individual and it cannot be switched to Mel.
To continue the tennis analogy, Mel has lobbed the ball over the net with his invitation to take him on instead of the club. ( If the umpire (EFL? legal experts?) says it’s a foul shot and needs to be taken again then it is back with Mel).He needs to wait for them to either let the ball go (and drop their case) or return it with either an acceptance or refusal. If they refuse then either he lets the ball go past him and we're back to square one or he volleys it back with an indemnity.

If you have a non contract dispute for money the administrators are not allowed to pay anything it really is that simple - the EFL ability to totally ignore that reality is what is not solving this impasse and nothing will change until the administrators go down the legal route to enforce the process and when that happens the EFL will probably say oh you have broken our guidelines as we choose to interpret them.
I would even consider 30,000 different Derby county supporters going to the small claims court against the EFL for not following their own rules on allowing inter club disputes as David has highlighted, yes I do not know what aspect for damages we could claim for but it means the EFL actually have to defend the claims or lose so it may well focus their attention

How about next time you write to your friend Rick Parry,  David mention that you are creditor too.. actually so are many fans, especially those who work for local businesses.

Certainly as such i am unimpressed by EFL using their unspecified "rules" to undermine the insolvency practitioner who is trying to get the best deal for the creditors and a rescue for the club. It is , in my view,  quiet scandalous.

Wind your neck in. Just because people cant always attend doesn't mean they havent contributed to help or bought tickets they know they cant use. Any figures for how many tickets sold v attendance? Could make you feel bad as to why I cant attend much this season but wont. Others will have similar reasons esp for a mid-week match

ps can we not move this wokeism poo to a separate thread? I'm all for fun and games but it just seems particularly out of place on such a thread as this.

Let me give you an example of your so-called Commodore fan @jimtastic56.  My son went to the Birmingham game.  It was his sixth match this season. He lives in Brentwood, Essex, a round trip of roughly 400 miles.  He's 30 and a teacher in a primary school and he had an after school event that didn't finish until about 6pm and got home just before kick off - he starts work at about 8am after driving 30 miles round the M25 from his home to his school so he gets up at 6am every morning. He did watch it on TV.  The win really gave him a boost (as it did to us all).
Oh, and he's a season ticket holder as well - £550 in the coffers even though he knows he can't get to the ground very often but he wants to sit with his dad without his dad having to move.  We've had the same seats since PP opened. And, Gibson willing, we'll have the same seats next year too. And he has a shirt - new one every year.
I dare say that on Sunday there were a fair few who bought tickets thinking that it might be the last time they'll ever watch the Rams but who have been fans all/most of their lives even if, like my son, they can't come every match.  A 22,000 gate of vociferous, supportive fans was great for a midweek game on TV, so let's not get sniffy at 8k plus who were at home, no doubt boosting a Sky audience making it more likely that Sky will cover us again and give us more money.

I suspect that somehow that Boro fans will be encouraged to get behind their team for this one. They're doing well on the pitch and I reckon the attitude will be to rise above any beef with DCFC. And, the police will nick anyone for the slightest, just to remove them fom the occasion. There will be lots of crap sung from both ends. I might be old fashioned but it'd be great to hear Derby get behind the team in a positive way. If Boro want to indulge in "party" songs then that really is a problem of their own inadequacies and let's not let it bother us. If we worry about Mr Gibson, just leave it, it'll al come out in the wash anyway. Be up for it and don't let the bustards get you down/wind you up.

I wish it weren't the case and I really hope I'm wrong, but I think it's going to get ugly no matter when or where the game is played. Much is being made of our fans needing to behave and rightly so, but do we really believe that Boro fans won't be looking for trouble too? I'm afraid this is just another by-product of the gutless stewardship of the EFL, setting club against club because they lack the guts to make a call themselves.

Lots of us go home and away and I’m no different, just don’t like being told we shouldn’t be going by someone that doesn’t want to go. The backing at Huddersfield was brilliant and we need to repeat that at Middlesbrough and then every game after that. We can’t do that if we just don’t turn up.
