Wignall12 got a reaction from JustOneBiblicalKazim in Where is Duncan?
Do you not listen or read posts ? The lad had injury/fitness problems last season. A Liverpool fan I know says he is the business, just had bad advice and kicked that "advisor" in to touch , cut him some slack for goodness sake.

Exactly this. Too many are quick to write people off even before they've seen them pull on the shirt and kick a ball..... thats airchair experts for you

Amazing some of the nonsense I've seem thrown at him, by people completely unaware this was the case, but then have decided to write him off because he didn't play much last season ?

Wignall12 reacted to Ted McMinn Football Genius in EFL appeal
I am just done with this, do your worst EFL and move on to your next victims.
Sick of this rolling on and on, either step up and deliver a punishment. We can then appeal and we move on.
These clouds of uncertainty are weighing heavy and I for one am sick and tired of being the whipping boys for a select few.
The club have bent the rules but not broken them unlike many others of the decades.
Let the EFL punish us to save face, they’re a vindictive and spiteful bunch and can never be found and proven to be inadequate. They keep on pushing until they receive some sort of victory no matter how big or small.
Hit us with your best shot and then duck OFF to your next targets ????

Having watch him when he first joined us, plus in a number of Polish internationals, plus a couple of highlight reels of his time at Lech Poznan, there's no doubt in my mind he's a talented footballer. I thought he did more than Ok last night - yes he misplaced a couple of balls, but he worked hard and tried stuff. He got himself into some good positions, but didn't receive the ball.
I don't think anyone here can argue he's a cr4p player - he's not. It wasn't long ago most were raving about him then of course his form dipped, as did his confidence (along with nearly our whole team). Losing Bielik had a detrimental affect on him IMO plus I feel the lockdowns also affected him - young lad away from home. And yes, he does need to work on his end product, I don't think that's in question. I strongly believe though, with the right players around him, increased experience of what's required in the English game, and rediscovering his self belief he could be a star performer for us. I for one look forward to seeing a rejuvenated Joz next season.

I wouldn't mind Sturridge here if the terms were good for the club. He'd be a bit of a gamble, but he's the sort of player that Stretton could learn a lot from - positioning, finishing etc. If he is interested in coming in to be a squad player, help develop some of our younger players and not expect to be the main man then he could be a useful addition. We still got some good performances and goals from Darren Bent who was a similar player at a similar stage in his career when he joined.

Wignall12 reacted to Anon in Joe piggott - joined Ipswich
I'd still be worried about whether he has the quality to perform in the Championship, but I'd be pleased to sign someone who's on the way up as opposed to down for a change. I really admire what Pigott has achieved and how he's done it. No sitting on a Premier League side's bench for 10 years thinking he's going to be a world beater. He had to drop to the 6th tier and work his way back up. I honestly didn't think he'd perform in League 1 when Wimbledon signed him and he's proved me very wrong.
Also, 52 games in all competitions last season. Imagine having a centre forward who can actually play every game. I've almost forgotten what that is like.

Should play with these, toughen the players up again. Take one of these to the face, or the thigh on a cold December afternoon and you know about it. None of this padded, aerodynamic nonsense. Players these days don’t know they’re born.

Probably the "computer programme" will put us up against the three relegated Prem teams in first three fixtures , then we Get the play off teams (not being cynical am I ? Please let me know if I am )

Think the real issue is that for so long now, the only news about the club has been bad news. That and the fact that some tend to repeat themselves over and over again.
Maybe with lockdown ending folk will be a little less jaded in time. Been a horrendous year for many and I guess all the malarkey at Derby really hasn't help to lift our spirits. We're due a break.
