No he didn't, he took the ball on his chest in direct view of a lino. That was the officials poor decision.
There's no time to think about placement of hands if your making three saves in about 6 seconds, due to a defender who panics instead of putting his size 12's through the ball.

If we are a midtable side at the moment why would you need a raft of stats to prove that point?
Am sure everyone on here is capable of interpreting a league table without the need for stats to aid their understanding.

A statistic is just a number.
What that number means and why is the question.
Statistics by themselves mean very little. The interpretation of statistics can be very powerful. It can also cause all sorts of confusion, wrong or flawed decisions, mis-understanding of the true situation.
You can generate a statistical correlation of number of pints sold in pride park to points per game. Would that be a useful statistic? Probably not for transfer decisions, possibly for the person who orders the beer, but the person who orders the beer probably has other far more useful statistics to help them order the right amount.

Stats arnt meaningless in my view , they play a small part but a part nonetheless, where your mixing me up is I’m replying to a few who think stats are EVERYTHING and tell you EVERYTHING you need to know  and if you follow them and spout a load of letters and numbers it somehow makes you a genius on some higher plain than the fans who turn up at games week after week , year after year , decade after decade 🤷🏻‍♂️,
when I feel it’s time for warne to go I will know and it won’t be stats that tell me , it will be goals for , goals against , points gained and lost and how I feel sitting in the ground

by even you do you mean some poor silly old buffer that knows bugger all about football following derby for 50 odd years now the new wizzy stato s have come to town ,
oh come on even you must know that if I watch us play poorly going forward and in defence over a period we aren’t going to win many and any managers job is just not sustainable, enjoy your stats if that’s your thing but don’t think you’ve found some kind of holy grail that tells people what they can’t see with they’re own eyes 😂😂😂😂,
we’ve not made a great start , if it doesn’t improve then the manager goes , it really is that simple
Plenty of people aren’t at that point with warne yet , some people think they can throw up this stat , that stat , this number , that number , scientific sounding letters like xg , gpgr, pddm xyzl ect ect , and we all go jeez these cats are experts , we better jump on that warne out bus pdq , jeez what were we thinking 🤷🏻‍♂️

No, expectations are fine in terms of this season should be at the least a serious run at getting promoted.
However, getting in a tizzy after a few games or acting like being outside the top 6 is an indignity unworthy of DCFC is all a bit much.
But for saying that, the team hasn't been convincing yet this season.

    No.
Why is our expectation too high?
"Full minutes - SCG Meeting with David Clowes and Stephen Pearce 22.09.22
...Paul Warne brings experience and now is his time for a big job at a big club. Other clubs were after him, both those with and those without a manager currently. David Clowes liked how he treats players, and journalists, encouraging everyone to get the best out of themselves."
We have a budget good enough for promotion from this league and a squad with lots of Warnes chosen players in it. Although (again from those minutes) "With regards to the players we signed and his style, Paul is adaptable, but he was after some of our players in the summer. His teams are running teams and he is happy with the players he has."
So Warne was signed for his experience in League 1 promotion, we are a 'big club' and he has a squad he was/is happy with, that he has added to. He also has a good budget from the Clubs owner.
Why shouldn't our expectation be high?

Yes, we have to accept that it will take time. Success might not come under Warne or possibly even Clowes, but we have to hope that at some point there will be something that ignites a spark for the clubs resurrection to begin. Look at Luton Town and Coventry City, both had to come back from dark places but have really achieved something in the past few seasons. Our club just needs to find that winning formula at some point.

That's a fair point. Rosenoir may not have had a lot on his managerial CV, but he appears to know his stuff regarding Ch'ship and L1 football. Also seems to have contacts in the game, particularly ones who think highly enough of him to show trust with decent loan players.

To compare Bradley to Keogh is just ridiculous. Keogh had some faults but he was a top championship defender. Played 300 odd games for us at that level. Bradley isn’t good enough for league 1 at the moment. Craig Forsyth was preferred to him yesterday to start alongside Nelson to replace Cashin. That says it all doesn’t it? A 35 year old left back preferred to him. Then when we had no option but to bring him on he produces another howler. He may improve but he’s 32 so I think that’s unlikely. We have dropped a clanger

I think it was Lincoln away that did for him & we were poor that night. Unfortunately for Liam, we hadnt converted dominance into goals in the previous 3 away league games (Charlton, Shrewsbury & Fleetwood) and so the narrative of us being impotent away from home was born. Richie Barker even made reference to it in an interview pre-Bolton...brass neck of him to come out with that & then deliver that garbage yesterday.
Rosenior leaving felt at the time & still does as a massive missed opportunity. I don't necessarily think we would've gone up last season but I think the foundations would be much stronger than they are now. Possession based football takes longer to implement (certainly more than the 8 games he got) but has a much higher chance of long term success. He also had connections higher up the pyramid (which he leveraged to bring in quality players) & an obvious affinity with the youth ranks. He was the man to help rebuild the club on the pitch.
Instead we brought in Captain Pinball, with all the fanfare about his 'promotion record' only to spend the last 12 months being finger-wagged that we shouldnt expect promotion & how he always needs another 6 months from the point at which he is questioned. We've gone backwards since Sep 2022 & that is a damning indictment on his appointment.

I think we are a top ten team not a top six team the current results do not make good reading as it highlights extreme inconsistency 3 wins 3 losses. We need to be stronger , grittier and show the bottle. Our current form is a 12-13th place team if it continues.
anything less than top six this season Warne is gone

We can’t keep dwelling on being thankful we have a football club otherwise we run the risk of just being in existence.

We need to become great again so that we don’t get anywhere near the last 3-4 years. We’re only going to do that to strive to be the best and that’s not in league one.

I’m not buying all this we have to be thankful anymore. We’re a business and businesses need to be successful otherwise they go stale and a club like Derby can’t afford to do that.

We have 30k crowds because supporters have stuck by the club. That support from a good number will dwindle unfortunately so we need to do something to keep them entertained. And right now, the team aren’t giving them supporters anything to cheer about. The only way that will change is by winning games and getting out of the league.
