No problem fast tracking officials with potential to the PL, now that the finely tuned unambiguous VAR is performing so well and catching any officiating mishaps ....... oh hang on

Tend to agree that this season is another 'free hit' for Warne. Mid table or just outside the play offs will suffice from the owners perspective. We will probably see much the same of the pattern so far. Lose a few games and scrape the odd draw - fans showing signs of discontent - then the odd win (like the Northampton game) to settle things - lose a few - win a couple    etc etc.

Probably not the worst, there have been some grim times at DCFC over the years. I was given a Rams shirt signed by Paul Clement and the squad at that time. I offered it for free to quite a few supporters, but no one seemed keen. Someone eventually took it off my hands. It's now gathering dust in their loft, I believe. Good luck with the trek and fundraising 👍🏽

Oh right, that was something that didn't seem worth mentioning by Hourihane then.

4th official for a premier League game is part of the preparation for upcoming referees before they get given the opportunity to referee at that level isn't it?
So yes, of itself might not be as headline grabbing as it at first appears but does show she's held on the regards that she could be a premier League ref in the future.

    WON'T SHE JUST?????? Wow.
I say, well done to her. We all have to start somewhere. Clearly one of the best if not the best at our level. Has officiated in the championship. Why not the Premier.

Yes absolutely. There does need to be an acknowledgement that the club is still not in a good financial position. A football club such as Derby County has considerable overheads and I imagine the clubs income barely covers the operational costs.

We aren't getting 3 mill plus in January for Cashin he will then only have 6 months left on his contract so could walk for development costs only.If Brighton or anyone else are interested they will want a cut price deal.

How to get investment? The answer is, IMO, get back into the Championship. We're not going to get worthwhile investment stuck in L1.

If we are desperate for investment why doesn't every Derby fan invest an extra £500 for nothing in return? We'll be the ones that benefit. It's the safest thing for the future of the club. Or maybe some kind of shareholder model - I think the Green Bay Packers do something similar.
Hold on a minute, I can't afford it, and even if I could, my wife would have serious problems with it. I expect most of us are in the same boat.
Mr Clowes invested a hell of alot more than that in a third tier club that has been pillaged. Absolutely no one else would. He's the reason I can still take my children to watch the Rams. I'll never forget that, he's got free reign as far as I'm concerned.
We should be concentrating on being sustainable so we're never in that position again. I would like us to only use players from the local area, similar to Athletic Bilbao, that would be something to be really proud of.

Bird, Sibs, Cash. All out of contract in the summer. From January they are allowed to talk to other clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement. It's far from impossible that they will not sign any new deal and let their contract run down so they can negotiate higher wages and signing on fee in the summer. We'd get whatever pittance a tribunal decides to award us for the money spent on their development. It won't be a lot.
DC won't, IMO, sell the club to someone cut price. He's going to want to break even at least.  That will only happen if we get back to the SBC and do reasonably well...

I still find it hard to fathom that a good number of fans are actively having a pop at our owner.  This is a man who did not want to get involved, but simply had to because he knew what the likely alternative was.  It also pisses me off that folk think he should sell up at the earliest opportunity because he didn't spunk £3m on a striker in the summer.  Only he, along with his accountants, truly know how bad it was when he started his due diligence, so he'll do whatever he can to ensure we don't get in that state again.  If we're moaning at anyone, perhaps we should be moaning at the head of recruitment for not finding the wheat amongst the chaff, in the last transfer window.
As for bringing in, and for the time being, sticking with Warne.  If you had the choice between a novice manager or someone who has 3 promotions from this division, to get you out of it, who are 99% of people going to choose??

He is no doubt a talented player, perhaps with qualities wasted in L1 under a coach like Warne.

The club owner can maybe answer that, but I guess he hoped for a quick promotion push, but is now having to manage expectations.
