Half-marks allowed; please rate all subs. Closes Thursday @ 18:00. Results by Thursday 22:00. Average is 6.00. Therefore, when a sub steps on the pitch he is on 6 - that's the baseline. Also indicate ATG (at the game) or TV (Tv).

1Wildsmith - 6 - couple of saves; could he have done better with the second goal?

24Nyambe - 6.5 - can't fault him but starting to sense the opposition are quite happy for him to have the ball in attacking positions

17Sibley - 6 - looked reasonably lively - giving him the benefit of the doubt that that flick was intended

35Nelson - 6.5 - mostly solid and composed but outdone for their second goal

5Bradley - 5.5 - what a mess on the second goal. Yes got a hand in the face earlier in the game which was dubious, but needed to get over it and play the game

6Cashin - 7 - made an impact and we looked more solid and purposeful with him on the pitch

3Forsyth - 4.5 - really poor show today and nowhere on the first goal. Unacceptable really

2Wilson - 6.5 - worked hard (on his wrong side) to make an impact

4Hourihane - 6.5 - good finish. Did some good things too but slowed the game down too much

12Smith - 6 - thought he did OK but felt he needed to come off when we went 2 down, although he played a slightly more offensive role than we're used to

7Barkhuizen - 5 - thought he was poor today but without any obvious howlers (unlike Fozzie). Can't cross, can't shoot... can't fault his effort but he just doesn't do anything on a consistent basis

20Ward - 6 - put in a couple of menacing crosses and worked hard

8Bird - 6.5 - mostly looked to make things happen but had a couple of quiet spells - why? Because we were meant to be using the wings almost exclusively? Whenever we tried to move things through the middle, he looked dangerous. Nearly a good assist for the Collins offside goal

11Méndez-Laing - 7 - that jammy goal makes up for the one he should have had vs Exeter. Worked hard until the end but wasn't a great performance from him

14Washington - 6 - no real impact. Also a bit more of that whining about a decision against him. Get over it!

9Collins - 6- shouldn't have been offside which was a shame because he (not to mention we) needed that goal. All the usual comments (effort etc.) apply!

 

Decent workrate but still too much complacency/entitlement on show - players sitting on the floor out of apparent confusion/protest at a decision not given, or falling asleep/getting knocked out of position too easily for Crewe's goals. Warne's subs were late and he dodged a moderately-sized bullet with this one, helped by their goalie having a 'mare right at the end. Second decent ref in two games!

1Wildsmith 6.5 No fault for the goals; good save at the near post 2nd half. 

24Nyambe 6 Stout game but ponderous when attacking.

17Sibley 6 Late sub. Fed NML for the assist.

35Nelson 7 Calm and assured. 

5Bradley 5 At fault for the second when he failed to clear.

6Cashin 7.5 Had a notable impact on the game with incisive passes.

3Forsyth 5.5 Some sloppy passes and should’ve tracked their centre forward for the goal. 

2Wilson 7 Pace and proactivity and troubled their right-back; some effective delivery. 

4Hourihane 6.5 Equalised at the death. Lots of possession but slow and ponderous. 

12Smith 6 Lots of possession but cannot play the pass to unlock the defence.

7Barkhuizen 5.5 Pace but no product today.

20Ward 6 Some delivery which found a Derby shirt. 

8Bird 7 Sole creative type but nothing quite worked today. 

11Méndez-Laing 7.5 Tireless threat but too many poor aimless crosses. Missed a sitter of a header when totally unmarked. Made amends with his goal.

14Washington 6 Grafted but nothing worked. 

9Collins 5.5 Goal chalked offside. Doesn’t occupy the box enough. 
 

The game stats reveal that Derby should’ve won comfortably today but we’re actually lucky to have scraped a draw. Clearly Northants papered over the cracks and unless Warne gets a striker we will continue to fire blanks. I also don’t believe that Bradley is up to the job so another CH will be needed (assuming Cashin departs).

4Hourihane 6.5, lots of the ball, should have done better with it 

12Smith 5 doesn't add anything to the team

7Barkhuizen 5, good intent but shoots as if he's wearing flippers

20Ward 6

8Bird 6.5

11Méndez-Laing 8, confident, plenty of the ball and good goal 

14Washington 6

9Collins 6, unlucky with offside, in right place, exactly where he should be

Sorry only saw second half on TV due to strange kickoff time.

Couldn't be bothered to post my thoughts on the match thread due to the doom monger hysteria so here goes!

Thought we played decent football, can't convert crosses, really sad that Warne won't give the kids a chance, 2-0 down what have we got to lose?

14Washington                     5.5 No proper service. Therefore had little effect.

9Collins                               6  Unlucky with offside goal which he took well but otherwise had little effect.
