1967Ram reacted to Topram in Derby v Peterborough
Tired legs struggled against the best side we’ve seen, no need for tears, go again Saturday

Terrific game. Beaten by a better team that always wanted the ball more than our players.
No disgrace though we should have managed the draw. We go again.
Did show that we need more strength in midfield.

B4 , we are after them son , we are after them ,
hope referring to B4 in the present is not upsetting ( if it is I will not do it again) but to my mind his energy is still with us and all around this forum , derby county and us derby fans lucky enough to have been touched by him

Well that performance last night was an absolute tonic to me after a dreadful Christmas (my dad is terminally ill and has been in hospital throughout Xmas). I wasn't going to go , even though the Kassam Stadium is less than 2 miles away from where I live but my family persuaded me to so I went and apart from that first 15 minutes I had the best away day I've had for years. That second half performance was brilliant; relentless attacking pressure that blew Oxford away. The Rams fans last night were also amazing; you wouldn't have known we were the team 2-0 down. I couldn't speak at the final whistle from all the singing!
Its nights like that that make following this club so special. After what has been a rough few weeks personally I really needed that experience last night.

I’m in full agreement with you on this one.
Last night Wildsmith gave away a very poor penalty in my opinion, rash to rush off his line, left himself exposed (ooo matron), then had a choice to make to either shepherd the player away from goal or take him out….silly. But he won’t be ridiculed and derided for it like Ward has been for his recent brain farts, and the same for Bradley since those early fixtures.
He’s come on in plenty of games as part of this unbeaten/winning run and helped us get over the line. His introduction and the subsequent tactical change of shape last night helped us get the win.
They’re doing their jobs as part of a squad to help the club get back up the league, I will never understand the need for people to scapegoat players relentlessly.

Lovely video of the post match scenes 😊
Particularly like the pleasant chap in the white hoody and glasses in the foreground who waves in such a friendly manner to the opposition fans, at least I think he’s waving 🤔 🤣

Pinched from the Oxford forum.
Just analysing their goals - and of course credit must be given to the quality of the deliveries into the box - but Hourihane’s superb corner looks to be flicked across goal by Fin Stevens for the first, Ciaron Brown yet again leaves his man free in the box from Cashin‘s brilliant ball to the back stick where Thompson heads past Beadle and Cashin easily steers in the third getting in front of Fin Stevens. Another top class delivery from Hourihane.
Apart from those great balls in there were countless overloads down by both flanks all night and we simply could not stop them. The corner count in their favour was off the scale. We were in effect lambs to the slaughter after that great start but the pressure was mounting from then on to the finale. It was like the Alamo for 85 minutes.
Derby arguably the best side seen at League One level in OX4 in the seven years we’ve been at the level. And I include Wigan 2017-18 in that.
We were battered.
………………… seems fair comment! 😁👍🐏

It's surely no coincidence that Tommo almost exactly resembles Gemmill at the same age....
Cheers Archie,the boys done good!

From that link, All I got to was a comment that said "What do you think Archie is short for?".
That was the point where I spat my coffee all over my keyboard, and I think my laptop is now fooked!
I wish people would think before posting. 👀

All of the clocks are set to slightly different times so that those that leave ten minutes before the end get spaced out depending on which clock they are looking at.

1967Ram reacted to B4’s Sister in B4 - for ever a Ram 🐏
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the funeral, give a final clap, or held Daniel in your thoughts today. It was a send off he would have been proud of. I could picture what his reactions would have been the day. He would definitely have approved, particularly of the buffet 😄

I thought we looked pretty slick for a good portion of that half and could easily have scored more if our decision making was better in the final third.

Ward has to come off IMO - diabolical decision making. He's a liability currently.

Thought we dominated the game after 10 mins. Some nice play at times, workmanlike at others. Under no pressure at all, until that stupid pen.

Is Nyambe back ? If so that’s good news we’ve missed him he’s probably the best RB in L1

So sad, it seems we’ve lost a lot of young Ram fans just lately. 🙁
RIP Sam.

1967Ram reacted to Simmo’s left foot in Minutes applause for Sam Wilson during Lincoln game
Lifelong Derby fan Sam Wilson from Long Eaton was tragically killed in Ilkeston last weekend. He was a season ticket holder originally in the North Stand, then he later moved with his mates to the South Stand.
Lets show our support for a rams fan lost in such awful circumstances by a rousing minutes applause on the 26th minute. I know his family and friends will really appreciate it. Rest in peace Sam.

1967Ram reacted to The Scarlet Pimpernel in Derby vs Wycombe Wanderers
I've not read the thread at all but I did watch the match. That result was nothing to do with shape or tactics. It was sheer incompetence from the players. Virtually all were guilty of under hit or over hit passes the whole game and as for game management what a laugh..... Why the hoof up field for the ball to come straight back when white shirts were available? Incompetence by the players, total incompetence.

1967Ram reacted to DiggerB in Derby vs Wycombe Wanderers
Very poor distribution from Joe yesterday. As an ex-keeper it’s the part of his game that I find most frustrating. Why we don’t leave NML or Barks up when defending corners, so he has a quick out ball is beyond me.
