LeedsRam1999 reacted to 24Charlie in Yankee Doodle Derby
When are the club going to start selling season tickets? I need to get mine renewed before the glory hunters turn up.

LeedsRam1999 reacted to SparxTheRam in So what does our next kit look like?
I know you should never look at concept kits because we just end up inevitably disappointed but I just came across these... How awesome are they?

Imagine Becks sitting in the exec seats up in the West Stand, the whole ground rising in appreciation, "David Beckham's Black and White Army" ringing round the stadium......then it dies down, goes quiet, and a lone voice from the back of the South Stand gives it, "Posh Spice, takes it up the.........."

Everyone welcome the newest Derby County manager: Ted Lasso

LeedsRam1999 reacted to Wolfie20 in Lee Buchanan - Gone to Werder Bremen
It's about time the young players were cut some slack - Buchanan, Bird and Knight are still only 20 and Sibley 19. You mention Hendrick and Hughes - we knew Will was a special talent, at least at Championship level - but they were 24 and 22 before getting their 'big' moves - who knows what level our youngsters will be at in 4 years time.
They have just had to endure a fight against relegation which would have tested the most seasoned professionals let alone those with very little experience - what a horrendous season in which to try and be fully integrated into the Clubs'senior squad.
One of the saving graces about having no fans in the ground is at least, with things going wrong, the boo boys are kept at bay.

LeedsRam1999 reacted to Nuwtfly in EFL appeal
Derbyshire Live's Rams' writer Steve Nicholson says he would "staggered" if a deduction was to be handed down at all - and especially if it was implemented for the 2020-21 campaign.
He said: "This appeal has been ongoing since September. It's an appeal against the amortisation of players - it's only that part of the initial charge.
"Derby, we must remember, were cleared of all wrongdoing so it's just that one part of it. I'm under the impression that even if Derby were to lose that one part of the appeal, it wouldn't result in a points deduction.
"We'll have to wait and see. At the moment there's no official word that Derby have lost, so we're awaiting that. But I think it would be remarkable, utterly remarkable, if suddenly Derby were given a deduction on this one part of the charge."

LeedsRam1999 reacted to Ambitious in EFL appeal
This seems the most viable option, although I'm surprised to read that we have no recourse to appeal?
Whatever the punishment, we really need to know where the line is going to be for survival. Ironic that the overspending on the likes of Bradley Johnson, Jacob Butterfield, Darren Bent and others is going to be left to a bunch of 18-20 year old academy players to pick up the pieces.

LeedsRam1999 reacted to DCFC1388 in El DerbyCo
Surely I can't be the only one who couldnt care less about Alonso's political views? Everyone has and is entitled to their opinion whether we agree with it or not.
Unless he starts to implement any of these supposed views onto Derby County such as not employing gay people or allowing them into ground then what does it matter?

So we have owners with little experience, a manager with little experience and a young squad with little experience.
Could we get sponsored by Virgin?

LeedsRam1999 got a reaction from Tyler Durden in EFL appeal
Not saying Morris didn’t spend. Saying he is not currently capable due to poor running of the club and reluctance.
I see why you viewed my statement that way however I meant someone who is willing to spend on appropriate players and not just willy nilly

LeedsRam1999 reacted to Ghost of Clough in EFL appeal
Except we follow the EFL's version (known as P&S), whereas UEFA FFP is for UEFA competitions such as the Champions League and Europa League.

LeedsRam1999 reacted to Wolfie20 in Relegation watch
I think Birmingham losing to Reading is probably more relevant to our survival than Norwich beating Forest.

LeedsRam1999 got a reaction from archram in Louie Sibley
Think Cocu alluded in his tenure that Sibley has work to do with his off the ball game, ie when we are defending in shape. With the situation we are in, don’t think Rooney feels we can afford to take chances with young players.
Some may say Knight and Bird still play but think these two are competent in our own third and can play in a shape. Think Sibley is more a luxury player for when we are in form. Get further away from the drop zone and we will see more of young Louis.

LeedsRam1999 reacted to Mckram in Teden Mengi - signed on loan until the end of the season
I like the look of this.
Tomori was only 20 I’m sure when he came to Derby and this lad is nearly 19, so hardly that much of a difference between the two.
De Ligt was starting for Ajax at 17 in the Champions League.
If you’re good enough you’re old enough.

LeedsRam1999 reacted to Anag Ram in Lee Buchanan
I thought he was 5’ 10”?
He still has occasional lapses in judgment but I really rate him. As the ‘Scout’ says he has an excellent attitude.
If we could get bodies in the box earlier, encouraging him to cross first time, he would be a powerful attacking force. Too often he has to wait for support.
Still young and hopefully part of our future.
