SILVERFOXTHERAMSFAN reacted to Tamworthram in Away memberships?
Yes. Because sometimes it reached the away membership 0-5 category but didn't reach general sale.
I was in that category and managed 6 away games this season including Wednesday, Cheltenham and Cambridge. I'm not sure I would have got a ticket for any of these if I hadn't had away membership.

I seem to recall Shilts having a few blinders. My memory's like a you know what, but I've got a vague recollection of away games at Newcastle and Southampton.

Dean Saunders away at Arsenal 88/89 season deserves a mention. Scored two ran Adams absolutely ragged the whole game.

SILVERFOXTHERAMSFAN reacted to Richard Dastard Lee in Ones That Got Away
Jeff Powell's biography of Bobby Moore tells the story of Brian Clough approaching Bobby in the summer of 1973, Moore wanted to sign for Derby and although Clough got his verbal agreement Ron Greenwood and West Ham denied him the move. Apparently Derby bid £400,000 for a joint Bobby Moore and Trevor Booking deal.

I am sorry AshfieldRam but I don't see how you could put Wilson, Commons and Martin ahead of Baiano and Wanchope. Commons and Martin were Championship standard, and Wilson is a lower half Premier League player. Baiano and Wanchope were definitely top half Premier League class.

SILVERFOXTHERAMSFAN reacted to Ram@Lincoln in Embargo and Transfer restrictions lifted
Jensen Weir for Morecambe got 10 goals and 5 assists playing CM, aged 21.
Scott Fraser for Charlton and Lewis Wing for Wycombe, 9 goals and 5 assists each. Brannagan got 9 goals and 2 assists for Oxford. Luke Leahy 9 goals and 4 assists for Shrewsbury.
Sure, he played full back for a part. Bali Mumba got 6 goals and 7 assists for Plymouth playing full back. Bobby Thomas got 6 goals and 3 assists in defence for Barnsley. Shaun Rooney for Fleetwood playing full back for 6 goals and 4 assists. Connor Bradley for Bolton playing full back for 5 goals and 4 assists.
Jason Knight scored 2 goals and assisted 3. That's a very poor return for a multi million pound player, especially one you say is £15m. Sure he runs around but there has to be more.
As folk have said, he's 22 now, no longer a "wonderkid". He's just had a below average season in League One and didn't stand out at all, as shown by not nailing down a position. If we didn't have Knight this season, we wouldn't have missed him. Rooney just would've played more. If we didn't have McGoldrick or Wildsmith, we wouldn't be anywhere near the play offs.

Don’t think the captain is currently at the club.
I won’t start the debate on who’s captain not really mattering though.

SILVERFOXTHERAMSFAN reacted to Kernow in Curtis
I don't really care about Sunday, and how it ended for Curtis at Derby. It's a shame it did end that way, but he won't be remembered for that moment. He will be remembered for his leadership, professionalism and his loyalty to Derby County over the last 6 years. We've been through a pretty rough last few years, there are many who turned their backs on us, walked away, acted like they cared about the Club but their real actions suggested otherwise. Curtis has done nothing but prove how much he really cares about the Club and given nothing but 100%, as a fan I don't think you can value anything in a player more than that. The term legend is banded around a lot in football, and over the last 20 or so years, we've hardly been blessed with many who could even try to claim that title. I think Curtis Davies is one of those who would have a fair shout at that though.
The highlight for me is Sheffield Wednesday at home, last game of the season, with everything on the line. Even at 36 years old, without yet recovering from what was potentially a career ending injury, he's put his own body on the line to give everything, even for just 10 minutes, to play his part in keeping us up. That alone is enough to ensure that he will always be fondly welcomed back at Pride Park, and I hope he is back soon be that as a player, or a media career he looks set to have.
One thing I will always remember will be the effort he took to talk to me after a game once. I'm a bit too old to be bothered fussing over players, asking for photos etc. When I come up for games, I tend to go into The Yard afterwards to have a drink, see the scores and wait for the footfall to die down. As I was coming out to walk into town, Curtis was walking over to his car so I just said "well played today Curtis", expecting him to just say "thanks" and carry on to his car, wouldn't have thought anything of it if he did that. Instead, he asked where I'd come up from, recognising that I didn't have a local accent. He was thanking me for the support and travelling to watch the team. I just thought that was a really genuine thing to do and shows off what kind of person he is.

SILVERFOXTHERAMSFAN reacted to Scott129 in Season Ticket Renewal Poll
Disappointing to see people have voted for one of the middle two options.
Totally get it if you don't renew for personal/logistical/financial reasons but, to base it on signings/sales or the manager (especially when things aren't that bad), is not what being a fan is about IMO.

Yea all of them.
The refs have been s***.
We’re in the third division. The best we can hope for is the 23rd best ref in England and considering it wasn’t great in the championship I dunno what you were expecting?

SILVERFOXTHERAMSFAN reacted to ram59 in Playoffs
I've always favoured keeping the play offs but using a format similar to the NFL in the USA. 6th play away to 5th, the winners away to 4th, the winners play the third place team in the final.
The advantages over the current system are that it rewards teams that finish the highest in the league, also, all play off matches are one off winner takes all, with no playing for a draw in the first leg. Another advantage is that teams are more likely to be fighting for every point right up to the last game of the season, in order to gain an advantage in the play offs.
I'm sure that the 3rd place team would prefer this scenerio even at the risk of having a long break before the final. But this system would allow the season to finish closer to the final and save on fixture congestion during the season.

SILVERFOXTHERAMSFAN reacted to angieram in Away Tickets - 2022/23
Away games we get there early and if it's busy go straight up to our seats.
Barnsley is the one ground we rarely get a cuppa because of the concourse congestion. But even managed that this time!
Pride Park is a palace compared to some of the grounds we have been to.
Hillsborough is still a death-trap. If they had to get 3,700 people out of that upper tier in a hurry they just couldn't do it. I try not to think about it but I hate going there.
