Missed the first 20 mins, but we were playing some nice possession football in spots there. Not sure if we look ok or if Lincoln didn't bother turning up though, because they look clueless.
Cash is spraying the ball around like Pirlo and Bradley has won everything in the air and, so far, hasn't managed to cost us a goal. Love Fornah too, he reads the game very well and has a knack of being in the right defensive position.
Green shoots after the weekends dross.

Some of the stuff we sing is so beyond cringey. Not even the Collymore crap, either. "Are you watching, Nottingham?" No, they're not, they're in the Prem and couldn't give a toss if we've scraped a goal against League One dross. It feels like we're going through the motions half the time, which prob comes from the pitch tbh.

Can't wait to have Sibs and Wilson back, they both other something nobody else in the squad quite has.

I know some won’t be too bothered about stuff like this, but it’s the international break and nothing else is happening so bugger it.
For whatever reason, and one I don’t really want to go into now, but I do think we lost a lot of our heritage, community and identity during the Mel era, especially in how the club fits into the city and the surrounding county.
I think a lot has happened from the march onwards to get some of that back but I do think we could go further. It’s one aspect I actually think Notts Forest has done well in, by making its fans feel part of the club and part of its history (sorry I won’t mention them again now).
One thing I’d love us to do is to connect our local folk songs into the club, not necessarily through chants although The Derby Ram and King Of Rome could work pregame at the very least but even if the club used them a bit rather than the generic bleeping blip music it tends to go for. I thinks there’s an opportunity to do something really cool and give us a link to our history and our culture through songs.
Not really expecting this to go anywhere, just hope someone picks it up as an idea and tries to do something with it. Like I say it’s international break, what else is there to discuss?

Pretty much my tale on it as well. When I were a lad..... refs started in local football. Good performances saw you promoted  up the Leagues so you knew they were, in old money, reffing in the top 4 divisions because they were the cream of the crop. These days they get abuse, both verbal and physical from U6s upwards. Many potentially good refs never get far up the ladder because they put their personal safety first. That means that, higher up, the refs got there, not because they were the cream of the crop but because they were the best of what's left after the good uns have quit. IMO that is the reason SBC, L1 and L2 refs aren't very good at best and totally incompetent at worst.

As much as the decisions have been awful, fans have to take some of the blame. From school teams up, ref's are threatened and abused for trying to do their jobs. I've seen grown men threaten to stab a teenage ref because they didn't like the decisions. We're basically picking from the few who've managed to be thick skinned (or plain ignorant) enough to survive grass roots, and it's a pretty piss-poor pool.
That said i'd have sent Wildsmith off (i'd have been wrong, but that was my snap judgement) and I dare say if it'd happened against us, most of PP would have been baying for a red.

A few enormous, glaring tactical errors in the first half. Fornah looked lost at times trying to play as the 10 (but had a really encouraging 2nd half playing deeper), sitting so deep after we scored was absolutely criminal. Very clear Thommo was the link between midfield and attack and we really missed him today, hopefully Embelton can fill that role.
Looked better with 10 men, although the chasm between the midfield and attack was still enormous. TJJ and Fornah looked like good players, and Vickers was solid. Bizarrely, that was still one of Bradley's best performances for us. Other than the f*** up, he defended strongly and caused errors in their box instead of ours for a change.
All in all, we'd probably have taken 3 points from the last two games, and we've lost to a deflection. The performance was poor, at times inexcusable, but at least we've got some time to bed the players in and get the injuries healed.

Would be a hell of a pick up, I hadn't realised he'd lost his place at the Wendies. He's the sort of player that would give us the option to rest Hourihane or Smith and freshen up the midfield. Forgot age, he'd be a great pick up.

My ideal deadline day involves Collins leaving. I'm not even that fussed about replacing him, I just don't want to see him in our shirt again. I'd rather see us give Connor Sammon a year than continue watching Collo half-arse his way through games. If only his legs were are mobile as the elbows he throws.
