Kinder reacted to CBRammette in Matchday Thread - Derby County v Oxford United (30/07 15:00)
What a day. Shocking traffic to and from Derby but totally worth it. Felt emotional when Steve Bloomer's watching came on which is odd as not that mad on it!
Team played far better together than expected. Few teething issues but generally seems better balance and bit tougher on the ball. NML and Knight linked brilliantly (and just love NML's shoulders!), Bird was given a tough game but played well but most pleased for Louie Sibley who was a result changer today.
Finally was really watching Liam on the touchline and very impressed with how he was trying to get them to play forwards with energy and positive runs. Good energy from him. Nice touch going right round the pitch at the end too to thank all fans

Have finally returned to the nest, fully armed with excuses.
1. They've changed the traffic management, so the home coaches leave first. Had a sneaky pint in the Yard, and the buses left just as we arrived.
Decided to wait out the traffic, and get a taxi back into town. Swift pint or three in Frankie and Bennys. Two ubers didnt turn up.
The Red Arrow was busier than usual due to the train strike, so we had to queue. Getting more beer from the shop didn't help our place in the queue, admittedly.
Pride day in Nottingham today, not a taxi or bus free to return home without encountering menacing hordes of biker types. Another few in the Six Barrels, then I somehow got cajoled into leading the march through town!
Arrived home, and burst into 'I am what i am' when the present Mrs Devil opened the door, with a requestioned rainbow boa draped around my neck. Not amused, at all.
Let her have her mini moan, then told her I wouldn't change a single thing about the day frankly, we were celebrating the fact there was even a game and a club to go and see.
Obviously, promised it wouldn't happen again, and will sleep on the settee tonight.

Loved it today. And it was so good to see Sibley make an impact, he changed the game for me.

Setting off in a few minutes. Really excited and expecting it to be quite emotional.
We’re in the West Lower for a change. Can’t get season tickets this year as Kinder Jnr plays school sport every Saturday afternoon in term time, so we’re just going to come as often as we can.

the sheikh was fake (a lucky break)
Mike Ashley didn’t tender
and Appleby was short of cash (and didn’t want a lender)
The tweeting kirch fell off his perch,
Got sacked, oh what a muppet
(a close escape for derby, almost owned by Stretford’s puppet)
So thank the Lord for David C, the ram who flies a plane
The only problem is we don’t know how to say his name

Just watching the pre match Huddersfield v Burnley, I'm getting goose bumps thinking about the occasion and atmosphere tomorrow. Football is f****** back folks, and we're still here!

I actually think its got more to do with how we want to set up tactically on the ball more than anything.
Roberts, Bird and Knight having been making a line of 3 when we have the ball for the most part. With Knight and Roberts tucking in. And they a primarily responsible with starting the play.
Roberts seems very good and comfortable at doing this. Where as frankly Fozzy wouldn't be.
So when Fozzy has played we've tended to do something a bit different and basically pushed him high, wide and frankly out of the way. Typically another midfielder comes and plays that role then, with the left winger also tucking in field (as opposed to staying very wide). It's why I think Fozzy and Sibley have often been tried as a pair on the left.
Either way I think that's firmly a plan B (especially as it hasn't particularly looked functional so far) and has been devised mostly with the recognition that are squad has players that don't quite fit plan A past the first team.

Obviously it would have been nice to have kept him but if he wants to go to the world cup it's clear he can't be with us this season. The big chunk off the wage bill alone is sufficient to perhaps bolster our numbers in key areas. Ultimately as others have said, we need to maintain the same spirit on and off the field we had last season, so if someone is stewing in the background then ultimately it is necessary to ship them out

Perhaps they were one of the only clubs willing to cover a big enough % of his wages to make it work for us?

I even managed to bump into our Lord and Saviour David Clowes. I shook his hand and said thanks for making half a million people much happier. He laughed and said I'm much happier too.
My missis looked at me a bit pityingly and called me a "fan boy".
He's so unassuming. Someone else had to point him out to me. You would never spot him in a crowd. Jeans and polo shirt.
Thanks DC. ???
