Ultimately, I cannot tell fans what to do but I would strongly urge people not to put themselves into debt to buy a season ticket.
We are working around the clock to be able to make a breakthrough in the process and will continue to provide transparent and timely updates regarding direct debits.
As a fan myself, I know what the club means to so many of you. But, in these tough financial times, I know it is not worth getting into debt over.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at Saturday’s match against Leicester City.

The obvious choice - and absolutely the right one.
No one deserves that band more than Curtis. He’s the perfect captain - a genuinely top bloke, both on and off the pitch, and a true role model for younger players to aspire to.
Stayed loyal to the club through some very dark days, when he could’ve left for an easier job on more money on multiple occasions. Proper modern day Derby hero in my book, and a man who loves the club as his own.
His leadership has never been in doubt, having worn the armband many times for us, and been de facto captain for much of his time here. He’d lead even without the armband, but it’s nice recognition for him to make it official, in what may be his final season in football. Let’s hope he ends it on a high by leading us back to the Championship.

I have to say I don't particularly wish him any ill will. That obviously would have been different if he'd contributed to the demise of DCFC. He so nearly did.
However did his actions inadvertently force David Clowes hand and ultimately save us? He of course deserves no credit. Bottom line is that he's quite rightly in the villains corner and DC is the hero of not just the day but the century.

Apologies for bumping this one back up, all. Just a heads up that Groundwork is out in just under two weeks now, which is a little bit mental and a little bit more terrifying. I've attached below the list of everyone who spoke for it (and volunteered their name) to give an idea of how it shapes up.
It should be available from the club shop, but it's also available from everywhere within this link: https://www.pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/groundwork And if you want to hear some dulcet Leicestershire based tones to get you through the day, I was lucky enough to chat with the departing Chris Coles last week on what exactly it's all about: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0cfjwz3

Morning squad. I've been radio silence on here the last few months for two reasons:
I can't add anything on the situation between just sorrow I've been working on something new For those who don't know and for those who don't care (understandable, no complaints from me) I produced a book called Pride in 2020, which went into the last 20 or so years of the club. That was nice, but the issue is that for those 20 years we were pretty awful. So I wanted to work on something new and a bit more feel good. And so...
I'm really, really pleased to say that my next book will go live in Autumn of this year and it's titled: Groundwork: The Inside Story Behind Jim Smith's Derby County.
Just like Pride, it's told from the behind the scenes perspective of those incredible few years and includes insight from around 60 former players, coaches and staff members at the club. From Igor, Eranio and Sturridge, through to Steve's McClaren and Round, it delves into what made that time so special. But more than this it focuses on the work of Jim as a manager and crucially, as a man. I've spoken with the creators of Prozone, the first sports psychologist in British football, the first fitness coach in the game, to evaluate how pivotal Derby (yes, Derby) were in the evolution of football in this country. And there is also a section remembering Jim himself, including thoughts from his family, as well as close friends like Harry Redknapp and Howard Wilkinson. There's even a Graham Richards cameo or two.
I know there's a lot of continuing nightmares around us at the minute, but hopefully this brings a bit of joy and memories of what this club can be. ?

Pretty sure LR mentioned playing those that didn't get a start on Saturday would get more game time, personally I'd like to see more of the Sibley / Stretton combination, for me they do have a good understanding of each other that stems from the youth football they played, and if we don't add to the squad they may well be needed.

Aye, but the kid (and his guardians) has to want to sign for DCFC and not take the glory route with Liverpool, Man City etc. Maybe there is more that the club can do to persuade them, but what? They've already got a faster track to first team football than they'll get with any PL club.
Jobe Bellingham seems to be cut from the same cloth as his brother and, like his brother, he might just save his club from extinction.

Walked in to Pride Park today and welled up. Strange how the fear of losing something that has been a constant in your life affects you. Happy to be back & impressed with the team & love the retro strip.

Watched on Rams Player and I think we were good value for the win.  A few thoughts -
First & foremost.  We have to do whatever we can to keep Max Bird.  Coventry can gladly have Sibley, Leeds can take Knight, but we have to hold onto Bird.  Him, Hourihane, and Smith/Thompson can boss it for us this season.  He’s matured so much the past 18 months. Captain for me once Davis hangs up his boots.
McGoldrick looks like a fitter, faster CKR.  I can see why United fans praise him so much.
Hourihane, Chester & Roberts look very astute signings.
Wildsmith is going to take years off my life, playing out from the back.
Cashin & Thompson look like they’re hungry to kick on from last season.
NML showed more flashes of what he’s going to offer.

Overall, everyone put in a good shift, in what was difficult conditions.
    Can’t wait for Oxford

Nearly home, just having a dirty McDs before we get back.
I thought we were very good, particularly in the first half. Fully deserved the lead. A bit of rust still, undoubtedly, but considering how little time a lot of these players have had together I thought it was very promising. Dipped a bit in the second half, particularly with the mass rotation of personnel, but the only time Berlin really threatened was when we were a bit sloppy at the back and gifted them a few opportunities.
Youngest enjoyed himself. Ended up making up his own songs to sing but he proper got himself into it. We won as well so I’ve told him he’s obviously a lucky mascot so he’ll have to come to every game now! ?
