After all the emotion of coming from 2-0 down its worth noting how poor Oxford were and they are somehow in the top six - sure they lost their manager and have a few injuries ( similar to us) - let’s try to not give more sides silly head starts can we.

How good was that? 2-0 down just to make a game of it. Super hero Fozzy pulls a goal back. Liam gets the goal he so rightly deserved after his awful injury and our super talisman gets the winner. You really couldn't make it up but it's true! You Rams! Now we've just got to keep going. 😄
All good Derby lads as well ( years served)

Who would have thought those three would be our goal-scorers tonight ?

What’s up with Fornah? Dropped for an unfit Thompson
I thought he was very lacklustre when he came on at Wigan - not following his man and looked like he was out for a jog - hopefully that’s exactly what Warne saw and if so he goes up slightly in my estimations as he did when he got Elder on the pitch for the last minute when Bradley would be unable to return - small but impressive things

He’s doing very well - pleased for him unless he would be playing against us 😉

I have no ill feelings towards Rooney who held us together with dignity whilst he had the players giving everything with our crowd
meanwhile I dislike Birmingham city with passion
-
Good, because he is actually a right back - when Rooney is fit we will have a couple of options in that position next season whilst ward and Wilson can the desperate stand ins if smith is still with us or not with us.
-
Good second from wood for the dogs will leave the toon fans scratching their heads
-
Decent 3 points as Lincoln will take points off other sides
when is our real right back available because ward isn’t one and to be honest wilson is no better at right back but as wide right midfielders they are both fine.
our first decent penetrating pass was made by Sibley when he came on and he should have had that rebound on target
I have no idea what Fornah is told to do but he does tend to just go sideways and backwards as a first instinct which kills any positional momentum that we sometimes have.
Barkhauzen had a bit of a stinker with his crossing to no one but we seem better balanced with him starting
NML had a quiet night but he did have at least two players marking him
two nice strikes from Houriahan and Collins
merry Christmas everyone

Absolutely no value to Derby in letting Bird go in Jan. A suitable replacement would be hard to find and not cheap. We'd be better served keeping him until the summer so he can help our promotion push, even if it means waiting on a tribunal to get paid.
I tend to agree, do you have any confidence in Warne bringing in someone better? I certainly don’t based on who I have seen him bring in so far.
-
Well this has taken its time to happen, anyway he was never going to get relegated with those three that were promoted so this must be about why are they not in Europe yet. Gives the new manager a chance to waste more money in January

I managed to use my season ticket on Saturday for the fifth time this season yet sadly I have only seen us win vs a dreadful Northampton on the day ( we were good) this season which takes me back to Burton at home being the previous win I have seen last feb/march - I am due anther win please

Just catching up from yesterday in the match thread and here.
Quite clear we are still some way from acceptance of women in the men's game.
Be it studio or on the pitch with a flag or whistle.
Had it been a male ref yesterday, wouldn't be nearly as many posts commenting on the performance.
Females should be able to be criticised in the same way males are, however until the sexist undertones are eradicated, it's hard to be critical without being thrown into the sexist box that has the old school mentality that men's game should be just men.
It will be another decade or two before we see any progress with general acceptance.
Nah, the referee didn’t really get much wrong unlike Derby County who got a lot wrong and Wycombe wanderers who just play football wrong.

Anyone expect more than 1 min injury for the first half. All the bookings and stoppages?
Yes

Seriously ?? Fozzys pass completion being -9 might have had something to do with it
he was awful today… fortunately we know he only has a couple of these stinkers a season so thats one down
Worth noting that both NML and Wilson were in dreadful positions to receive the football on the left hand side as it’s just unnatural for them to be over there
-
Wildsmith - nothing much to do
ward - not the best right back, always a decent cross
Nelson - very good
Cashin - excellent until we changed shape again
Forsyth - was doing fine, no idea why he got subbed
Hourahan - not a game for a decent midfielder
Bird - same as above
Sibley - close to getting sent off in the most silly of ways
NML - always our most creative player another assist
Wilson - he must have the worst touch I have seen in a long time because everything bounces off him and I am not sure how he is starting games
Collins - hardly any service and then disappears trying to find the ball
subs - Fornah - this guy is yet another defensive midfielder isn’t he as everything is backwards and sideways with hardly any tackling or heading and little running - you could say I am disappointed in him.
Barkhauzen - nice goal and I don’t know why he isn’t starting ( yes I do it’s to fit in either ward or Wilson and move NML away from his best position)
Bradley - I would have stuck him on at half time at centre forward just to give their centre half’s something to do
JJ - didn’t have a sniff at anything
-
Well what a load of anti football nonsense that was - I am not surprised nobody watches Wycombe
That said we had no one who took control of the football

Probably but equally if they want to leave and have no intention of signing a new contract then that’s out of our hands slightly isn’t it.
Also think we should probably worry about the championship when we get there.
All true, yet you have to plan for the future

Or...we keep pur young talent, get promoted, and they play in the Championship next season....otherwise we would have to replace them anyway, and probably not in our budget next season for equivalent standard players!
About time I heard someone say this !

Hopefully has a good window, had two very underwhelming ones so far.
Think speaking less might help him as well, seemed numerous times where someone was “through the door” or “in the building”. Then silence for weeks.
if no outgoings then maybe get another wide player? Don’t have loads of options there, and warne talking about a striker too which we need.
bird and cashin leaving would mean they’d obviously need replacing. Cashin staying on loan for the season be ideal if sold.
Probably just me but if we have realistic ambitions to be promoted wouldn’t we need the likes of Cashin and Bird next season in the championship?
