Can’t stand Birmingham FC but Eustace was doing a very good job from what I could see.

Warne said he wanted to put the youngsters on but their goal put that on hold
Which excludes them from the rest of the season then !

Well we all knew Sibley would be scoring in this one which should maintain his splinters for the next game.
Collins is fine in our league based on all the others we see but why is he playing in this silly cup when Brown could have had a decent chance of game action.

Allen is deservedly in the sqaud after a fantastic start to the season. Not surprised Brown and Davidson are the other ones included either.
What kind of player is he GOH ?

Leicester and Leeds would also stay up this season in the Premier League with their current squads. The bottom lot are cannon fodder. 27 points will be enough this season.
I maintain the stars have aligned for Forest. Not only did they fluke their promotion (winning a penalty shootout and having the officials on their side in the final), but Leicester and Leeds seriously underperformed last season. Both had better squads than Forest.
Throw in Forest playing the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Brighton when they were under strength plus the slender wins over West Ham, Palace and another when they all missed penalties. It just aligned for them.
The hardest part is over now for Forest. This season will be a stroll for them.
At some point it will get harder. Especially if Leicester, Leeds and say Sunderland all got promoted and decided to spend. Luton, Sheffield United and Burnley are all too happy to cash collect only.
Absolutely spot on

The forum mood typically reflects what is happening on the pitch. Joyless football leads to joyless fans.
Good point - when was the last time that there was a good atmosphere by our fans at our play at home?

My mate who was at the game says the fans reaction to the players after the game was vitriolic. Lots of abuse for players and Warne. Not from everyone but from a large section.
He was quite shocked.
Heard similar from ones who go to every away game and there were rumblings at half time Tuesday at Blackpool - the sheer lack of actually looking like a decent football team is troubling if we are winning or not not winning.

In fairness I think we can all understand the logic in not wanting to play in contested areas and for the most part it was the right decision because we were able to get into good positions and stack the box but the players lacked quality required on this occasion to make it count.
I think the bigger issue for me is all this Cheltenham pack the midfield Cheltenham play 3 centre half’s - they are bottom of the league with no previous goals scored by October - what do Derby play ? Because the players never seem to know - why are we changing everything to suit up against a non performing team

Agreed we're short on quality options but personally I'd prefer Waggy up there and Sibley behind him. Looking forward to seeing what JJ offers too.
Not upgrading on Collins is gonna cost us imho.
In this league we should be playing two centre forwards as a minimum every week and currently Waghorn and Collins are it and not one playing behind the other either

So he could have been an unused sub too?
Would have been cheaper as Bradley costs us 4x Cashin in weekly wage

I did not like that interview at all
he’s not bothered about playing football in midfield and the likes of Sibley are simply not going to get a proper go in the league which is incredibly frustrating when we know what he can do but Warne didn’t sign him did he and simply wants to play all the highly experienced players and not give the talented ones a go.
frustrating and I still believe most supporters could manage the players we have and achieve the current level of performances

Radio Derby asking him difficult questions. He can't justify not bringing Sibley on. His answer was "we had loads of unused subs, I could have bought Sonny on for a set piece".
That’s why we signed Bradley it appears to me - should have signed Andy Carroll for that

Long trip home from that one - that’s football and at least we weren’t at home

Oxford are 9 pts in front.
Portsmouth 8 ?
I always think trying to catch a team 9 pts and above is very difficult.
But the bigger question is....
Are we really a team that looks like promotion this season?
How have the bookies got this so wrong?
In this league it’s a big lead because a lot of teams are very poor so not winning can become very difficult not to achieve

A draw today would be totally unacceptable
Better than losing - what are you expecting Derby to start playing beautifully or something?
-
You have to do the basics correctly in any football match - we didn’t and conceded a very soft goal. Hopefully we can gain some confidence from the equaliser for the second half.
-
We have won four games and Waghorn has scored in three of them so that’s a big positive
-
Started last night 3-0 win

Any three points at Blackpool is a good 3 points and nice to pick up 3 goals as well

Team selection forum meltdown is the best part of any matchday
It’s the most exciting bit lately

I really can’t see many shots at goal from that side and I really wish I could - but football has been spoiled especially being able to have 5 subs to cover up dreadful selections

Birmingham Sack Eustace
in Ex Rams
Posted
Bit harsh - Eustace the first time wasn’t very good and neither were the other players yet when signed again the other players were better and he fitted in perfectly.
Rooney might not have been able to run around a lot but he is the last player we have had who can control and instantly pass the football
