Seriously ?? Fozzys pass completion being -9 might have had something to do with it
he was awful today… fortunately we know he only has a couple of these stinkers a season so thats one down
Worth noting that both NML and Wilson were in dreadful positions to receive the football on the left hand side as it’s just unnatural for them to be over there
-
Wildsmith - nothing much to do
ward - not the best right back, always a decent cross
Nelson - very good
Cashin - excellent until we changed shape again
Forsyth - was doing fine, no idea why he got subbed
Hourahan - not a game for a decent midfielder
Bird - same as above
Sibley - close to getting sent off in the most silly of ways
NML - always our most creative player another assist
Wilson - he must have the worst touch I have seen in a long time because everything bounces off him and I am not sure how he is starting games
Collins - hardly any service and then disappears trying to find the ball
subs - Fornah - this guy is yet another defensive midfielder isn’t he as everything is backwards and sideways with hardly any tackling or heading and little running - you could say I am disappointed in him.
Barkhauzen - nice goal and I don’t know why he isn’t starting ( yes I do it’s to fit in either ward or Wilson and move NML away from his best position)
Bradley - I would have stuck him on at half time at centre forward just to give their centre half’s something to do
JJ - didn’t have a sniff at anything
-
Well what a load of anti football nonsense that was - I am not surprised nobody watches Wycombe
That said we had no one who took control of the football

Probably but equally if they want to leave and have no intention of signing a new contract then that’s out of our hands slightly isn’t it.
Also think we should probably worry about the championship when we get there.
All true, yet you have to plan for the future

Or...we keep pur young talent, get promoted, and they play in the Championship next season....otherwise we would have to replace them anyway, and probably not in our budget next season for equivalent standard players!
About time I heard someone say this !

Hopefully has a good window, had two very underwhelming ones so far.
Think speaking less might help him as well, seemed numerous times where someone was “through the door” or “in the building”. Then silence for weeks.
if no outgoings then maybe get another wide player? Don’t have loads of options there, and warne talking about a striker too which we need.
bird and cashin leaving would mean they’d obviously need replacing. Cashin staying on loan for the season be ideal if sold.
Probably just me but if we have realistic ambitions to be promoted wouldn’t we need the likes of Cashin and Bird next season in the championship?

Whilst we will strive for as many points as we can the other teams at the top seem to rarely drop many points but as we know that can all go pear shaped and in some style

Totally agree plus all of the rearranged fixtures to midweek for international postponements. It makes it impossible to go to even all season ticket league games if you have an over two hour trip each way to Derby and work. You cant change hours around that much especially when one of us is full-time in nhs with shifts ending at 6.45pm. Never mind bristol street motors trophy. Really disappointed.
I only live three miles from pride park and I have only made it to 4 home games this season and I have a season ticket! - a worse ever in the last 40 years
-
Good 3-0 win and needed as most of the other challengers won and scored 3 as well - decent weekend then

Why bring Bradley on and go to a back 5?! We're playing against 10 men FFS! 🤣
The manager can’t help himself or it’s simply in Bradley’s contract anyway we have a third - what would we be without NML
-
2-0 wins this one if we can managed to get the ball to Sibley again
-
Poor old Collins - we are still needing him and he does all right but he needs to miss those when we are 4-0 in front

Palace stay up every year but they offer nothing. I’d be bored stiff if I was a supporter of theirs.
Forest seem to be aspiring to be them too.
I honestly don’t see the clamor to be a 17th - 13th PL club. You lose 50% of the time, you have a big negative GD, you get battered by the top clubs, you uncomfortably cling on to every victory, your best players will just get poached every year, you largely play crap football and half of your games are moved away from the Saturday 3pm kick off time.
Yep but all that is called success nowadays

Birmingham were over achieving before Rooney and have now reached their level

Last season we were very hastily put together whilst this season we have invested a lot of money ( or committed to paying it) so the improvement is modest. Yes it’s a poor league and we have a big squad by other clubs options yet it seems that the current big improvements have been made by Bolton and Portsmouth to a lesser extent.

Teams that recruit better players have better teams? Thanks for the fantastic insight.
Don't think anyone is disputing that, just the notion that the only reason Derby are in League One is because of bad recruitment.
If you can't see any other factors that played a part, I'd suggest its you with your head buried somewhere, not necessarily the sand, and not others.
We got in a major mess because initially we recruited badly which was followed be recruiting stupidly
I consider Clement did the bad recruitment and Morris allowed the stupid recruitment when we were looking at the poor finances

I am currently overseas - on paper a very good 3 points so that helps the mood 😀 - two late wins in 4 days has to help the squad morale, as well as reminding the league how big and experienced our bench is because it frequently looks better than those starting 😂

I missed the game yesterday as I am away but most of the reports sent to me suggest we were dreadful for 70 minutes and fortunate to win the points, is that the case ?
Chris Martin did ok I assume ?
several interesting results around the division yesterday I thought -

The next 5 games leading up to a tricky game against Wigan on Boxing Day are..
Bristol Rovers, Port Vale, Leyton Orient, Wycombe and Lincoln. I think this is an ideal time for Warne to prove his worth and shut people like me up.
5 winnable games, 4 wins at an absolute minimum from those 5 and that would see us comfortable top 6 and sets us up nicely to throw it all away in Jan and Feb 😆
We are in the third division and we should be winning every game because the other teams are not very good. Even the better teams are the ones we expect to beat comfortably in the championship - sorry but we massively underperformed on far too many occasions considering what we have available compared to other clubs - yes I know we can’t win every game but we should be looking like we would.

I can’t say that I want Warne to be given any money to spend in January as I have little confidence that any kind of decent footballer would be signed

Christ, it’s pathetic isn’t it? Every time you think we’ve turned a corner we fall apart again. Is it the manager? Is it the players? So depressing.
We haven’t turned any corners since warne arrived and hardly scored from any either !
