We need to utilise Sibley and his talent more. Look at some of his goals this season, the 2 on Saturday and the one in the cup spring to mind, how many top players can finish with such quality with their 'wrong' foot? None of them were a lucky swing, they were all very deliberate finishes. I've lost count of the number of times,  over the years, that I see a golden opportunity falling to a player on his 'wrong' foot, you before he's struck the ball that it'll have more chance of hitting the corner flag than the back of the net.
On that subject, for some years now clubs have been coaching kids from a very early age, why aren't they coached to be able to kick the ball with both feet?

Mcgoldrick’s been playing as a 9 mostly since the new year, play him and Sibley together, Sibley gives us more in terms of goals and assists from than Knight does, try Knight on the wing and have him, Sibley and one of the wingers providing energy and pace behind Mcgoldrick.

They ought to look at the Trees while they are at it for similarly playing fast and loose with inter-club transfers. GO GET ‘EM, RICK!

Of all our terrible signings, Bielik isn't one of them. He's had two ACLs - just freakish terrible luck - and when fit has shown enough for us to know that without those injuries he would have been an absolute rock. 
There's a difference between a bad transfer (and we've had plenty of them) and bad luck. Bielik is bad luck. 
If instead of what seems like dozens of Butterfields and Blackmans and Joswiaks, we'd just have signed three or four Bieliks, we'd be in a much better place.
 

To be fair we had to cobble a squad together that first season down under restrictions, not as tight as yours but again it was no fees and a wage cap so I have nothing but admiration for what you've managed so far.

Didzy will only be around another season though, Dave and Sibbo has had the odd run, though I concede, far less than is probably warranted. I think sometimes he appears to be a bit lackadaisical and maybe managers mistake his demeanour for something that it's not. It's hard to explain why so many managers have overlooked him when all of us can see he's got bags of talent, but we're not seeing him in training and he might be one of those that trains like a donkey and only comes alive on game days. Who knows? Talented as he is though, he's still behind Didzy as it stands and I think that's fair enough.

Nobody is arguing that Morris was a competent custodian of the club.
The point is that the stadium sale and selling players to yourself are the same thing. Both methods to bypass ffp. We got absolutely vilified for our method and we had to endure the EFL trying to get us points deducted for doing so. And yet our glorious regulator does nothing about Watford or Forest doing exactly the same thing. It absolutely has to do with the EFL - one rule for us and a different one for everyone else.

We got raked over the coals for attempting to bypass FFP with the stadium sale. All these clubs selling players to themselves get away completely scot free though. I know ultimately we weren't punished for the stadium sale but it didnt stop the EFL coming after us. Why is what we did a heinous crime in the eyes of the EFL, but these clubs can bypass FFP this way with not a care in the world. Baffles me.

Why is Hourihane under-rated defensively? Have you got some statistics to back this up?
I think he's much more effective further up the filed and his best form this season was when we allowed him to play there. Since Bird has been out he's been tasked with covering more and I have watched every minute of every game so far and I just don't think he does this particularly well. I'm happy to be proved wrong if there's some evidence that says otherwise. 
 
 

Jeff arrived during the Brian Clough era during my transition from school to the world  of work. I am not aware of talking about conversation rates in those days, but he didn’t seem to need many chances to be able to put the ball in the onion bag. Sadly he simply didn’t get many matches, and was usually brought on from the bench.
I started this topic because I found out today that sadly he passed away about eight years, and I had no idea. ?
He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, which normally gives you 3 years to live from the time of diagnosis. Jeff died after only 9 weeks. How sad.

Me and Angie never lost faith. Sibbo finally in his correct position. We know he can score goals.

Have you looked at their remaining fixtures?
Home: Forest Green, Lincoln, Cambridge, Bristol Rovers and Burton
Away: Accrington, Bolton, Morecambe, Exeter, Shrewsbury and Port Vale.
I think it would be a major collapse (which could happen) if they didn't win at least four of those and draw a couple. That would require us to pick up a minimum of 24 points out of the 30 available. Even if they do slip up, Barnsley are better placed and in much better form than us.
As I say, it is mathematically possible and I expect the team to keep pushing but realistically it very unlikely to happen.

I didn’t really  notice the ref much, which is a bit rare for me! He made a few mistakes and seemed to give an awful lot of free-kicks to Oxford. But that is only because we committed a lot of fouls. And that cane from Oxford ratting around and being first to the ball all the time, so we arrived late, stretched for the ball and gave away the foul.
I had no problems with the ref, I just had/have problems with our falling into a crude, agricultural way of playing. We are better than that.

Well we got away with one, today! It seems we have learned nothing from our previous few games in this poor run. We are still lumping the ball around hoping that on the odd occasion it will land near one of our own players. Oxford move the ball around very well, and in addition they are very good at ratting around, which we tend not to be, and that is the difference which gave them the bulk of the possession. They didn't give us a moment's breathing space, a situation we don't like and can't cope with on the whole. There are increasing cries for Derby to get the ball on the ground and play football with it, especially after the Plymouth game on Tuesday, and I would have thought that the expected reaction to that result would see us playing to our strengths. But no, hardly a sight of it, just kick it long and/or into the channels. Sadly Corey Smith was the worst culprit. We've been wanting him to be moved into midfield for weeks now, and he did bring a bit of defensive metal to the side, but virtually every time he got the ball, he simply hoofed it up into the air and 4 yards up the pitch. And straight to an Oxford player - I don't think he got the ball to a Derby player once! Very disappointing. And on the rare occasions we actually played football, we looked dangerous and scored.
Pick of the bunch were Wildsmith (despite flapping at the ball for the first goal), as he kept us in the match several times, and, of course, Sibley. He took his chances really well, with the first one being a typical Sibbers goal, as was the second!!! His contribution was strong for most of the match, and was playing with a bit of authority today. His time away at left back, and sadly on the bench has seen him return a much better footballer. And that's about it, although it was good to see Max Bird back out on the green stuff!
And I hardly noticed the ref today, which might mean we have had yet another good ref, which makes the grand total of 3 this season - an embarrassment of riches! He actually got a load wrong, but he certainly wasn't the absolute buffoon we normally get.
It seems crazy, we played so poorly but could have come away with 5 goals! WE dug in and held on, and showed some character, and sometimes, as may have said, the result is all that matters. So having shown that we've got some balls, lets now play some football.
