I’m happy for everyone, but particularly happy for the likes of Sibley, Cash and Bird. Stapenhill, Mansfield and Barton’s finest. You could tell it meant that much more to them, particularly Sibley, who grew up a Derby fan.
With them and Tommo, the academy lives on.

Fair enough. At the time, it just felt like we weren’t going to ever put together a consistent enough run of results to get us up.
I’ve never been so delighted to be wrong.

Not sure if I am alone in this today but I feel an overwhelming sense of closure after yesterday’s achievement. What a relief to be back in the Championship. But it’s more than that.
It feels like all the hurt over the last couple of years: the administration, the points deductions, the financial turmoil, the humiliation, the relegation; it feels like we can finally turn the page on that sordid chapter of our history. Like we can move on.
I’m not sure why I’m sharing this, but it feels even more personal for me than that, too. In the summer of our relegation, I lost my grandmother to cancer. She was the major connection to Derby for me. My whole ritual of going to the matches involved staying with her for the weekend. For some reason Derby County, the city of Derby, the supporters bus that would pick my Grandad and I up from outside The Gate in Swanwick, the cone of chips before the game, all just seemed to have disappeared.
I know it sounds strange but I feel like I lost my connection to the club in so many ways that summer.
Yesterday, watching everyone celebrating and the tears and David Clowes and Ed Dawe’s’ tears, just felt like closure. The end of the trauma and the start of something new. It felt like moving on.
Thank you, Mr Clowes, for all of that 🐏

I knew the general area of where you would be but within seconds of going through the turnstile there you were, it was as if someone had ushered me there 😉

Oh, I actually didn't realise it was made with that in min d, but it makes perfect sense now.

Having said that, The Irishman was a similar length and that didn't feel quite as ploddy to me.

If I had to choose one thing, one word, that he’s improved, and Warne said this himself post match yesterday, it would Culture.

A great achievement to get the club back after 2 years away.

The criticism at the time wasn’t unreasonable. We were crap and looked like we were going nowhere.
Fair play to the ones who backed him to turn it around.
He’s our manager, a good man, and he’s written himself into Derby County history.
    Up the Rams.

I owe it another attempt, but I thought it was a bit boring too.
Apparently Apple TV and the like give the top directors much more freedom with their projects to attract them to the platform. Sometimes the traditional Hollywood suits are right.
