A stranger we had yet to meet.
Our paths had never crossed.
And yet, it seems, we knew him well,
A dear friend we have lost.
A heart of gold, a Kindly soul,
A friendly word to each.
A clumsy gaff may oft appear,
But ne’er offence be reached.
A call to arms, a plea for fight,
A positive embrace.
Defiant stance, a pumping fist,
A smile on his face.
Hatred of pink, and all things red,
More strangers for him to meet.
“A sea of black and white” he’d call,
“Let’s all stand at our seat”!
A disregard for marriage,
for relationships of two,
“Never, ever” he would wail,
“That would never do”!
Yet he loved all, and we loved him.
His quirks always forgiven,
His stubbornness frustrated,
But missed, now he’s in Heaven.
The truest Ram, amongst us all,
Now gone for evermore.

I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always. 
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him. 
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.
 

Promise

Nothing will give me greater pleasure today than finding out that this man has lost his job, will get a football banning order and will soon be sentenced after pleading guilty.
It's about time more people realise that actions have consequences. 
At the same time, massive kudos to the regular Sheffield Wednesday supporters who have now raised over £18,000 for the Bradley Lowery Foundation after being appalled by the idiotic behaviour of one fan. 
(I thought there was already a thread about this but can't find it.)

Got up at 6.25 this morning and put BBC Breakfast News on and there was a half hour programme about Rob and living with MND it was heart breaking to watch and hard as well, there was one point when one of the doctor's was talking to him about the end and how he felt about it and he just smiled and said he didn't want anyone talking negative like that. You think you have problems in life and feel a bit down then programmes like that show us how lucky we are. I'm not ashamed to say I had tears rolling down my cheeks when his wife/mum/dad were trying to talk about life without him. 

I supported Coventry last night with nearly as much passion and anxiety that normally is saved for the Rams ... lol 😆 

Because Middlesbrough wouldn't be doing that if they were in front, would they?

At times it looked like we weren’t going to make it much longer, but there’s life in this old dog yet.
 

I don’t suppose anyone can rustle up an away kit using the blue, green, white and yellow of the Derbyshire flag? As we are a one (league) club county, we should maybe promote this?

F1 is their thing so not sure anything else will cut it! Thing is Silverstone will sell out, almost has already, but charging those prices is hardly making available to the people!  Surely they make all their money on corporate anyway!?
I’m pretty sure I could get a weekend in Belgium or Italy (with race tickets) for less than Silverstone. I’ll have to investigate.

Silverstone tickets on sale now.   Unfortunately,  3 day pass for F1 Silverstone for myself and 2 boys (9and10) this year was £620 and we all loved it.  Next year the same 3 tickets will cost £1500!  Boys are gutted, we can’t afford that.

Great races the last 2 weekends. I do hope Mercedes improve their car a bit to make it a three way battle. I just hope that rat faced dirty bar steward doesn’t win this year after being gifted it last year

Richard Keogh started the bounce at the Derby County end and applauded the fans. He will always be a big part of the rams heritage and he gave all when he played for us.

Evidently Derby fans are staying behind to watch Blackpool's award presentations for the season and are cheering the results!
