Really good tonight. I thought the Senagalese were a tad sub-par, but we took our chances well and the second goal visibly broke their spirit. Kudos to Henderson who is a player I've given a few pelters. Thought he was excellent tonight. Kane looking more like the player we see in the Premier League too. Bellingham an absolute Rolls Royce. The sky is the limit for that lad.
Bring on the French!
We are ready!
I think...

More or less full strength in terms of the players at the tournament. And playing well.
After all, we are missing, er, delli alli and tiltok lingard, so we're not quite at full strength...... ?
Don't want to make excuses because even with the players we are missing (Kante, Benzema, Pogba, Nkunku) I think England could beat us. The first 3 would be starters and as a result France would have a much stronger bench but at the moment it is pretty weak. Starting 11s are pretty even i would say but England's bench is by far the strongest at the tournament. I am not feeling it, especially if it goes to extra time we literally have 1 player we can bring on to make a difference Kingsley Coman and that's it

You can bet the haterz would say "they didn't play Brazil or Argentina!" but anyone beating those 4 in consecutive games would deserve it.
Let me tell you I the (frenchman) would rather play Senegal than England. I really don't fancy us against England. If we had Benzema against your CB pair instead of Giroux and Kante in the middle of the park, different story but sadly that is not the case. Anyway, Let's get past the poles first...I still have nightmares about the euros game vs the Swiss

I very much liked it. It’s like Star Wars, but all grown up. I think someone swore at one point.

If this is as far as the ball rolled, the goal was the correct decision. Even if it's oh so very close:
Miles on the line, well done ref! ?

Dear Mr Souness...
VAR has to prove it went out (Fully over the line). IF IT CANNOT PROVE THAT, they cannot change the ref's decision, which was that the ball was in.
They may well not be able to prove that, due to angles and/or boots/ankles in the way. They may not have the pictures you are demanding.
VAR does not have to prove the ball was in... the ref already made that decision.I just wish Aluko puts him right, listen Graeme which bit of the ref explanation did you not understand. She makes sense, he doesnt

I can see a breakaway in the future, UEFA and FIFA don't get along, The powerbase for football is Europe in the main, UEFA need to call their bluff, FIFA would be then a toothless Tiger a roar but no bite.
Watch this space.
UEFA just need to take a leaf out of the big European clubs who have been squeezing UEFA with the CL. A world cup without top European nations would be pointless

No one was as surprised as me to see that Cameroon still have Roger Milla up front
I saw the great Roger Milla play for Montpellier SC with Carlos Valderama in 88/89 I think. I couldn't tell you who they played or what was the score. The warm up will stay with me forever though. Whilst the squad was hard at it warming up, Valerama was doing keepy uppy in the centre circle, Roger was lying down, face up, in the shape of a cross for a good 10 minutes, when he eventuall stood up, he kicked one ball which was left there and that was it!

TFFT. Represents all that is wrong with modern football. No interest in the game, wouldn't know a football if it hit them square in the face. ££££ is the only thing they know, praise where it is due, they did very well there (for themselves).

Not sure if it was shown or reported on British TV but ion french TV they've shown lots of ermpty seats with people not coming back for the second half.

They are cr@p, all the money in the world will not change this. On this showing, they are likely to loose all 3 games, stick to camel racing.

Have to be disappointed with FIFA as they didn't show awareness and give next Euro's to North Korea. It would've completed the hatrrick after Russia and Qatar. YIt was an open goal, yet they somehow managed to screw it up. Poor from them IMO.
Don't give them ideas....

Zico (the original white Pele for those under 50) at Zurich Airport in one of the lounges. He had been to FIFA to pick up some awards but did not say much. I got him to sign my work notebook. Marcel Desailly in NY when he was at AC Milan, he went into a store when I spotted him, his wife stayed outside. I asked her if he was who I thought, she said yes and explained that they holidayed in the US so he did not get recognised. He came out I asked for a 1 photo - old style, camera no selfies in those days - he wasn't happy, a right miserable ducker in fact.

Watched it on SKY F1 Italia they are a bit excited whenever the cameras focus on the red cars.
Great race, bravo gorgeous Giorgio Russell

I don't think it's the money that was spent or the players Lampard brought in which rankled with some Rams fans, more the way he kept us dangling while waiting for Chelsea to offer him their managers' jobl
Regardless of his history with Chelsea, any managers in their right mind would jump at the chance of moving from a championship club to a PL club the size of Chelsea. He's just a a faint line in our history. We got compo, happy days, we move on.

Football my friend, I' ll be the 1st to admit we (France) did not deserve it. England at the very least deserve to go to extra time and i was dreading this as our bench was nowhere near as good as yours. Our play off final vs QPR, the WC final lost vs Italy I could go on with the games I can look back on and think we did not deserve this, but the bottom line line is at the top level you got to take the very few chances you get. Especially a pen in the last minutes of a game. I agree with you with the players coming through England will be rightly considered contenders for future tournaments as opposed to a nation that matters but isn't expected to be in contention for titles.
Onto the semis France A vs France B, what could possibly go wrong?
