Whatever your thoughts on 2A, I can't understand why there's not more support for better mental health support in the US. There has to be a correlation between the ease of owning a gun and the relative difficulty of obtaining socialised healthcare/mental healthcare, and the absolute basketcase mass shooting stats in the country. 

Imagine a part of your teacher training being "how to shoot someone"?!
And it's not even like they don't know it's a ridiculous take. 2 weeks ago at the Buffalo mass shooting, the Security Guard had a gun and tried shooting back. Can you guess what happened to him?

In Allestree it was itchy chin, then eventually morphed into chinwag. I don't think we ever said chinny reckon but we would have known what it meant. It also became "Jimmy Hill" for obvious reasons

For me the only real reason to give Q a kicking is that they were lauded as "football club insolvency specialists" when they were appointed, so to my mind they should have been far more aware of the mess and the challenges ahead quite early in the process - rather than claiming in October that we'd be out of admin by Christmas, and then continually communicating overly optimistic messages (remember "you will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly things will progress now"?) about conclusion. Their credibility in the industry must be shot

I think this is the key bit
It's just that the common understanding of sexual harassment is where someone acts sexually inappropriately against another person in an unwanted way - clearly not the case here. The definition of sexual harassment being used here is more fundamental - harassing someone by using a sexual characteristic against them. Which is why it seems an odd ruling I guess

Used to play British Bulldog at primary school, for some reason it was called 'kok a rusty'. Anyone have any idea why?
 
 

I think the interesting thing is more about % full rate in relation to league and positioning. There were lots of times the capacity changed and some years the full rate at the BBG was great, others poor but the overall attendance is still limited by what you have.
When the capacity was 18 or so thousand then you have the usual match day non attendees for whatever reason but still not full. 
Then the jump to Pride Park, higher attendances and still never filled but a more accurate measure of the true support in the city now in the current non violent era depending on how we are performing.  
 
Id be amazed if we ever get those extra seats to make it 40K stadium, but you never know. 

Really interesting. I think we do need to factor in population. Many more of us now, along with improved access and a more inclusive family friendly catchment. The South Stand die hard demographic may be largely the same but it’s a bigger audience pool now for the rest of the stadium, both in terms of numbers and who would likely go. 

This season was a weird one, coming out of the pandemic + the administration/uncertainty made it harder to fill the ground
That said - I don't think we can assume we will fill the ground in L1, unless we get off to a flyer and are thumping teams left right and centre, new investment, exciting new players etc
Attendances in the 3rd tier back in the 1980s dropped pretty low
Our first season we finished 7th and our average attendance was just under 11k. Highest was 16k and lowest was 8k
Even the following season when we finished 3rd and got promoted - our average attendance was 12k (highest 21k and lowest 9.5k)
I doubt we'll drop attendances that low, but the cost of living crisis won't be our friend in that respect either.
I think 20k next season will be considered a decent crowd

Vardy's texts (that didn't fall in the sea) have been released. It's truly amazing to see her take someone to court because she's unhappy that Coleen made her look bad, and then have the court case make her look even worse. She really is making her own bed here
 

It's true that she seems to exhibit passion for certain things when she wants to, but her record of voting is abysmal and doesn't reflect what she says. I don't actually think she has any interest at all in football, but she realises that Derby is a passionate football town and that way lies votes...
