I think they are quite clever buying all those players, they can use them to fill the seats up when the fans stop coming once reality hits home

At this point they're "rolling it back" into the Vehicle Assembly Building (or VAB) for a thorough inspection and the chance to replace things if required, before claiming they'll try again in October. Increasingly my expectation is that they won't launch until next year.
The longer they wait the more chance for the Starship from SpaceX to beat SLS into orbit, at which point this flawed Moon rocket (SLS) will look even more of a white elephant. Why spend 4 billion dollars every launch on a rocket you then have to throw away, when you can use a far more capable rocket in Starship that's around a hundred times cheaper (ie 40 million) and will eventually only cost the price of the fuel. Which, incidentally, isn't liquid hydrogen because, as NASA is demonstrating, that's incredibly difficult to work with and keep contained!

When I said idiot, Justin Trudeau had popped into my mind and him correcting someone for saying mankind as he preferred peoplekind.
The difference between woke idiots and everyone else is that most people don't mind whether you say mankind or peoplekind - we might find peoplekind a bit cringeworthy, but you get to say what you want.
As the twitter clip describes in a far better way than a quick sentence from me here does, the increasingly authoritarian woke mob demand you change your language to suit their beliefs, with any transgressions met with bullying and/or your attempted cancellation.

I don't really know much about the Souness thing tbh, other than briefly reading something about it on here at the time and recall him having to apologise.
Whilst referencing the comment, I was making a more general point.  We all know you can't run into a crowded room and shout 'FIRE' etc and society has agreed that certain words are highly offensive.  But the continuing push by a fringe minority to police language, comedy etc (and therefore thought) by taking offence at every little minor 'transgression' (as they see it) is annoying - hence my input in this thread!
Having woke idiots correct you for using the term mankind instead of peoplekind for example (which ironically my spellchecker has highlighted as wrong ?) is something I object to.  As I said in my previous post, 'I appreciate that their opinions and beliefs might be different to mine - but they are different, not better.'   They are welcome to use whatever language it is they want to use.  I shouldn't be corrected for using whatever language it is I want to use.

Wildsmith   6  - Couple of decent stops, not really at fault for the goals
Knight   6 -  Energetic performance as usual, nice covering block on the line.
Forsyth   6 -  Not his best, not his worst. Let down by those in front of him.
Cashin   6 - Reasonable performance until match defining error.
Stearman   6 - Another steady performance, problems lay ahead of him.
    Dobbin   6 - 10 min run-out, didn't effect game.
McGoldrick   7 - Loadsa quality, good assist, first start but ran out of steam.
Sibley   5  - Came on in wrong position, zero impact struggled with defensive duties.
Hourihane   5 - Midfield duo were hugely disappointing today, lack of skill and control lost us the game.
Mendez-Laing   7 - Super goal that probably edged him for our MoM. Lively 1st half, quiet 2nd half.
Bird    5 - Another anonymous league appearance, got extra point for nice assist though.
Collins   6 - Worked hard again in defence and attack.  Worked off scraps.  Pity he couldn't celebrate a win with his goal.
Barkhuizen   6 - Showed his class in flashes but largely anonymous.
Thompson   4 -  Didn't see the value in this sub, we were completely overwhelmed in midfield and Thompson had no effect.
Osula   6 -  Big and strong, might offer something going forwards but had little support.
Disappointing result after being 2-0 at HT.  The score flattered us imho and Plymouth came out strong in the 2nd half.  LR was slow to react and made things worse bringing Thompson on and playing Sibley out of position.  We offered nothing, Plymouth took complete control and the inevitable happened.  Rooney for Bird next time out for me, he's been largely disappointing for me this season and needs a jolt.

Watch the video, certainly the 2nd half and if you're not inspired to join the cause then I guess the upcoming crisis doesn't really effect you or anyone you know - but it will effect millions.
Without delving too much into the old thread that must not be mentioned, angst around the world was increasing pre-covid.  The pandemic led to the biggest wealth transfer in history and the growing realization of an elite/media class vs everyone else divide.
The looming energy crisis will lead to death and poverty on a massive scale unless we all stand together whilst energy companies and elites continue to make massive profits and earn huge sums.  The Poll Tax was defeated through mass revolt, imho its time to stand together and spread the word.  Lets get the campaign to 1m subscribers.  Then 2m.  Then 10m.
According to the Chancellor, anyone earning less than £45k will need help with their energy bills.  As the average salary in the UK is around £32k, thats an awful lot of people.  How can a modern country in 2022 force people to choose between heating and eating - and thats just for a basic standard of living... Get up, go to work, go home, eat, shiver, repeat.
I've never been into politics and I'm tired of all the identity crap but this is a cause that should unite us all.  The runaway Govt/Corporate greed needs taking down a peg or two and some balance has to be restored.  Increasing authoritarianism and disdain for the common man will imho lead to a lot of violence over the coming months.  I've subscribed as part of a peaceful protest and hope the Govt do something about it before its too late.

Not everyones cup of tea (his delivery is very grating at times) but there is lots of information packed into 20 mins about the current energy crisis.
The first half of the video sets the scene and can be skipped if you really can't stand him, the second half runs you through a lot of information - price increases, corporations profits, government corruption and how the media is treating us plebs.
Most importantly he highlights the 'Don't Pay UK' protest.  Sign it.  Even if you can afford your bills this winter millions won't be able to, stand with them.  Nothing will change unless we all unite and demand change.

Well I’m sure this will surprise some on here but I’m not going to lay into them over this protest , it matters not whether I agree with they’re cause ( level of catastrophe) aims and demands , the right to protest is vital to the kind of society we want to live in and for me this falls into the category I will not be up in arms about ,very different from attacking and holding ordinary people to ransom ,wilful destruction of property and total disregard to others lives ,health and safety that they normally go in for

Really enjoying League One atm, maybe its down to where we were a few short weeks ago but the crowds seem less fickle than previous seasons in the Championship and have carried on the 'feel good' factor from last season.
We'd been in the Championship a long time and whilst it might have been preferable to leave via promotion, seeing new opposition for the first time in a while is a good change.  I've even picked up RamsTV for the first time this season to watch all the away games to get a look at the grounds I've never really seen before.  I also enjoyed the 'Rams on the Road' info videos that the club do telling us a little about teams I've never really cared about before.
I guess it boils down to the saying, 'a change is as good as a rest' and the fact we've still got a football club to support.  2 or 3 seasons in League One wouldn't overly bother me tbh, especially if we could see sustainable progress and better promotion pushes year on year.

    A solid 8.
Started off really well with some smashing signings for League One.  Fell away a bit towards the end, LR himself said he wanted 3 or 4 more signings which I assumed to mean key first teamers, not the younger loanees we ended up with.  2 or 3 more good signings and we'd have a real shot at the top 2, as it is I think top 6 if we're consistent and stay clear of injuries.
I guess it boils down to what the aims were for this season - if it was to rebuild and stabilize, lay the groundwork for next season, then its job done 10/10 given the starting point.  If it was to have a crack at the top 2 then imho I think we fell a couple short - I'm not complaining, just giving an honest assessment, although I have known to be wrong.  Frequently ? Hopefully we'll be in a strong position by Christmas and able to bring in any players to keep pushing.

I prefer watching and supporting Derby County FC.
They will, over the years, appear in different levels of the football pyramid. Health and wealth allowing, I will be there to support my team whatever division they happen to be in.
Last season was a great example of how football is more than league positions and stats. The atmosphere was unreal, the togetherness of players and fans under horrendous circumstances have left me with great memories. The euphoria of last minute winners, the never say die attitude of all of us, on and off the pitch, Wayne Rooney's leadership, an absolutely brilliant season as regards being at the games witnessing first hand the unbelievable emotions.
The march from the Market Square to the Ground and the last minute winner by Bielek v Birmingham, days like that are up there with watching Archie, Roy Mac, Toddy and Zak being part of the best team in the land all those years ago for sheer emotion and love of our great club.
Blackpool when we were already relegated, what a weekend, superb, Derby fans at their very best.
So, to answer your question, both. The fans were absolutely brilliant in the prem 15 years ago and probably even better last season. Looks like the same this season as well.
Watching football live, at the match, is not about what anyone else thinks, its about your own experiences on the day.

That's the thing with Knight at RB, he's not let us down defensively and he offers a lot more than any normal RB when we have the ball, which we have and will continue to do so in this league.
Effectively it allows us to have another attacking option on the pitch,  Sibley or McGoldrick in the number 10 role
