maxjam reacted to kash_a_ram_a_ding_dong in Derby v Cheltenham Town - Match Day Thread
I have the opposite view on this,he does come across as honest, funny and quirky to me and I actually thought he sounded impressed with Sibley aside from the peno and he didn't criticise that in any case, just admitted that it was one (fair enough,it was!)
He also praised him for being the only player to be making forward runs.
I personally thought sibs did well,he tracked back well and made some vital tackles and at least he always has a go,going forwards.
The game itself was absolutely dreadful in the first half,we were slow, dull and looked frightened to death.
The changes for the second half were positive and we looked a different team,if not one that was in my mould of a great derby side.
It was effective however and all of a sudden we were on the front foot with Cheltenham not really getting a look in from then on.
Birds goal was superb but eclipsed by collos' effort which was outstanding....if he stayed in the box more often, this might be something we would see with more regularity.
Three points off top, joint third place as it stands and we aren't even playing well yet....if we can finally click going forwards, you never know, the autos may actually be on.

I think once you've reached an income level that enables you to live "free" from financial concerns, your future happiness depends on your ability to manage higher levels of income without adding to your stress or damaging your health.
For some wealthy people, the love of money is a sickness and the more they get, the more true contentment becomes elusive.

@IslandExile @littleover ram I was just speculating, but seems from what Leigh Curtis is saying it is linked to the business plan in a way 🤷🏻♂️

maxjam got a reaction from Wignall12 in Everton and Forest - FFP
It will be hugely disappointing if Forest only get docked 6 points - they will be able to count that on one hand.

I had a thought while commenting earlier: shouldn't coaches make better pundits than players? They understand the tactics better than players, have to analyse as part of the coaching gig, and also have to a certain level of communication skills. Arguably that set of skills lends itself better to punditry than that of a former player?
I want insight and analysis I can't infer myself from just watching the game. Hearing about 'double pivots' and 'inverted wingbacks' and technical terms you don't hear in the concourses at games or in day-to-day discussions.
One of the better pundits to emerge recently that weaves his own personal experience into what he says is Daniel Sturridge. But the fact he stands out for this is largely my point. If pundits can't weave their subjective experience into their commentary, then the only upside provided by being an ex-pro is lost, and they're likely not going to offer insight above what someone in the pub may be able to. Ashley Williams was a decent centre half in his day but I don't half find him dull to listen to, same with Jermaine Jenas- great presenter, boring pundit.
