Derby blood got a reaction from Bianoic in Birmingham City vs Derby County Matchday Thread
Wilk be watching this on sky, as its a friday night kick off, looking forward to another Derby performance with guts, effort andvskill, feel if we can keep Deeney quite, which we can, we might nick this one by the odd goal, gping 2-1, to the Rams, Lawrence and Curtis from a corner to send the 1000 travelling fans mad.

The first link shows Spurs ticket office opens 4 hrs before kick off, until half time on a matchday.
I admire your loyalty to Mel, but if you truly think our ticketing problems at the moment are due to a wonderful new era of convenience, I'd be disappointed.

Well what Derby need to do is use pace of the team against them and use hit and move football we are trying to play. I dont think we have much to fear personal.

Derby blood got a reaction from Half fan in Time to walk away Wayne
Good to be back posting again
My thoughts of Wayne is nothing but praise, bringing in good experience pros, to mix it up the the youth, was so important, having no money, but for me with want he has at his disposal he is doing a great job, also love the way we are trying to play, so many positives, around the squad and coaching staff.
Just need a takeover now, and to come out of the embargo, to give Wayne the help he and the coaches and playing staff deserve.

Altho a neutral ground Wembley 1975 Charity Shield, On a very hot August day 50 of us from Chadd clamboured on the bus in good heart to play WHU, On the way down on the M1 meeting shedloads of Derby fans, We park up at the stadium and head for the Greyhound pub at the back of Wembley, Just our lot at 1st, Then it slowly started to fill up with WHU, Don't know to this day how it kicked off but it did, We got busted and rescued by the Police yet again.
After the game we could see the hammers fans leaving from the other side, A 2-0 win then we see the presentation and leave in good voice, Until just getting out of the ground the greeting of 100s of lads waiting for us, We had one lad K O'Rielly one of the toughest men I knew stood on the steps taking them on, A man on his own he was screaming at us to charge, Well it was a case of getting clumped by the hammers or get a beating in town by KO, Slowly but surely more and more Derby were coming out of the ground a little like a cork from a bottle of champaigne, It looked to be numbers in our favour, Clouds of dust and lads going "hammer and toe" the police were shocked at the leval of violence lads at each other with whatever came to hand, Derby had the day with WHU lads mooching off.
It wasn't until a little later we found that our ranks were filled with some of Derbyshires finest coal miners, Who waded in with scafolding poles and planks that were left from building works at Wembley.
I'm told that in Bill Gardners book (a nutter of a WHU fan) that he admitted through gritted teath that Derby won the day, And his "mile end boys" took a beating...crazy days the 70s.

Birmingham probably around 1977 ish, arrived late at the ground, parked up in a side street as the driver "knew" all about Brum as he worked there at the time. The ITK driver then took us to a turnstile which led us onto a huge terrace on the side of the pitch. As we squeezed in (the match was already underway) it suddenly dawned on us that the Derby fans were away to our right, behind the goal and we were slap bang in the middle of Digbeth's finest.
Derby scored and it kicked off down beneath us as several Derby were being attacked, we decided to make our way down towards the pitch and with Brummies streaming down to get involved we were hid in plain sight. As the police got the Derby lads out we just climbed over and joined them and got escorted round the pitch to the away end to a heroes reception!
After the game we couldn't get back to the car as the side street seemed to be the meeting place for the Zulu's to plan their attack on the Derby fans.......I don't think we went with that ITK driver again.?

Ahhh the good old days ?
We never had to argue about being in someone's seat or standing in seated sections then.

Friday 10th September 8pm KO St Andrews Trillion Trophy Stadium
Some of the news and rumour about the club over the international break hasn't been pleasing. Let's try to get back to the football.
In a bizarre turn of events, it's when I'm watching Derby County play this season that I'm actually at my least disappointed with the club.
1-0 Shinnie FGS
(Side note, apologies I was a little slow getting this thread up. I've not been around for a few days)

It always amazes me that some folk don't believe we are going to win the Cup.
I know for a fact that we will win the FA Cup this season. I've thought that since 1976. ??

B4, you have to stop blaming Gibson for Mel’s poor stewardship of the club!

You have got form for previously stating matters as fact which have subsequently been demonstrated to you to be nothing of the sort.
And you have implied that you have an experience in finance matters that makes you something of an expert
Yet you have been proven to be wrong on some of the most very basic of fundamentals that exist in the financial world
So not only is your credibility questionable, to say the least, you are also proving the old saying that “ a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing”

We weren’t in the High Court with winding up orders, literally minutes from going under though were we?
I don’t think we’ll get to that stage under Morris, but the football side of things has never been so negatively affected by the incompetency of the owners as it is now.

Afraid any goodwill MM did have from me is very quickly evaporating.
Ive gone from defending, and feeling sorry for him to now just think he is an egotistical bare faced liar.
Wasn't his supposed gripe with FFP that it wouldn't let him put more money into the club?

I agree that the 3 amigos comparison is too much, they were bent from the off.
Comparing Mel to Maxwell however, isn't beyond the pale.
Both invested their money to get us back up to the top table. One successfully, back when a few quid extra could really make a real difference, one with nowhere near the same results, albeit in a harder environment to succeed.
Maxwell was patient with his manager, Mel wasn't
At the end of Maxwell's reign, he sold off some playing assets, pocketed the cash and sold us on in a much better position than he bought us, didn't he?
While knowing he was under the pump for the fraud he'd committed elsewhere.
I was pre-teen at the time, so maybe my memories are incorrect, apologies if so.
Mel has taken over a championship club, on the eve of a Play Off final, and several years later will leave us in a worse league position than he inherited, not owning our own ground, in debt to God knows how many people, at odds with our regulator, and operating as a shell of functioning club.
Basically, he took over a cheap and cheerful ship, which offered 3 day cruises to Bruges and back, promised we'd be like the QE11 in a few years, and now we're adrift like the Mary Celeste.
