Talking of The RAMones, Baby I love you was originally 'DERBY' I love you.
I can't live without you
I love everything about you
I can't help it if I feel this way
Oh I'm so glad I found you
I want my arms around you
I love to hear you sing my name
Tell me that you feel
Tell me that you feel
Tell me that you feel the same
Derby, I love you, come on Derby
Derby, I love you
Derby I love, I love only you

GangwayD got a reaction from Eoghan1884 in What do we need ?
Good post.
I don't know much about the first two players you mentioned but I really like the look of Dan Crowley, although doubt Notts County would entertain losing him in January.
I still think Johnson Clarke-Harris would be worth a two year deal. Far more of a handful than anything we currently have and could make a big difference. It could be argued he doesn't work as hard as our current forwards, plus has history with PW, so doubt this would happen. Would Peterborough allow him to come to a promotion rival, so he'll probably go to Bristol Rovers.
Cheers

GangwayD reacted to S8TY in What do we need ?
looking at the current goal scorers chart in L1
Alfie May 15
Jordan Rhodes 13
Our top goal scorer is Collins on 7 and for all of his hard work I still think a striker could make the difference between going up or not
I'd really like us to go for it and get Al Hamidi , a proper goal getter will make the all important difference and give teams something to fear and would maybe free up others around him to get a few
We do need more goals from our midfield as well imo , quite an important window this next one and always a difficult one

We got this far without the RAMones?
Very clearly not fans of Paul Warne's football:

Not completely sure but I picked it up in the pub as the below, although I'd had several beers to be honest so was singing anything...

John Jules has scored again

Hang on -no. I've got it

Made me giggle this one for some reason - I like it !. Although not sure if this was borrowed from the Fozzie Fozzie Fozzie version which someone suggested on here to the same tune !. Unless that was also you Chester40 and you have a fascination with us having a player sang to the tune of Oggy Oggy Oggy !
The John Jules song was quite catchy being sang in boozers and by some in the away end at Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Cheers

What an idiotic statement!! Nothing to do with football but why will every ground including non league and even park football show there respect today and tomorrow ??
Some young men never got the chance to play football and today is about respecting them !! Don't bring palestine into it as today is all about those who bravely lost there lives!!!

Firstly, why should Derby accommodate this?
I’m not sure that something like this is necessary. It’s nothing to do with football, so why are people trying to introduce it en masse?
In the same manner that if someone wanted to do an equivalent for, say, Palestine, I imagine these same people would be suggesting that wasn’t acceptable.
If you want to show your support, wear a poppy.
If you don’t wish to then you don’t have to.
And most importantly, be respectful of each other’s personal views - just because people have a different outlook to you, it doesn’t mean you have to attack them - everything is so polarised nowadays, it’s exhausting.

GangwayD got a reaction from BaianoPOTY98 in Will Clowes patience soon run out?
Your not alone. I think DC has/had every right to raise concerns with our 'progress' and I dare say he has. I don't think he would have said words to the effect of change your tactics or stop acting like the underdog as that would be almost telling him how to do his job.
I watched with interest the Barnsley pre-match interview and whilst they are getting better, I thought it encapsulated my frustration with Warne. He does seem to acknowledge we are not scoring enough goals and not taking our chances so reading between the lines, that area is a must for improvement in the January window.
He's also banging on about fine margins. Maybe he has a point but if we go at teams, like we did against Northampton, fine margins don't come in to it. We shouldn't be even talking fine margins when we play against teams in the bottom four or five.
Then he talks about players and says he likes good athletes - most managers would say the like good footballers, good defenders etc.
In fairness, it feels like we are turning a corner, including Crewe whereby I felt we dominated and deserved a replay at the most, so lets hope we get the three wins he spoke about in our next three home games and it might start restoring some faith in Warne.
I don't feel its unfair not to raise questions although I'm sure DC's patience will and should hold..... for now.

GangwayD got a reaction from Seth's left foot in He's got a left-sided parting....
Do you know what Seth, that's not a bad shout - including the one about the kit.
Wilson might find it too congested in that area, whereby he has more room on the flanks, but those glimpses of chances he created for himself (Blackpool) and for others (Stevenage/Washington and Shrewsbury/Collins) it's certainly worth a look.
Thought he changed things from the wide area against Crewe and put in some dangerous crosses, but could he have provided that subtle pass playing in the number 10.
I thought he was excellent throughout against Wolves U21's. Someone remarked on here he had a poor first half, but I'd argue we didn't get the ball to him as much and when he had it he caused problems. Bradley and Cashin both hit some great diagonals to him.
I'm converted Seth - Id like to see him tried there.
