Bessie1 reacted to Scott129 in Match Thread: Wycombe (a)
I'm nervous about this one, although I think we'll do the job.
Going to turn off my phone at 7:45 and not check the score until about 9:45 😅

Bessie1 reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Injurys/absences
Here we go;
Max Bird - Calf injury, out for another week, may be involved at Portsmouth
Dwight Gayle - Hamstring injury, out for 3 weeks
Craig Forsyth - Calf injury, season possibly over
Tom Barkhuizen - Calf injury, out for 3 weeks
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - Hamstring injury, no timeframe yet would guess we’ll hear more in the pre match for Blackpool
Tyrese Fornah - Back injury, was apparently part of the warm down at Northampton so maybe close to a return
James Collins - Knee injury, was warming up on the pitch pre match at Northampton so a return this week is on the cards
Ryan Nyambe - Quad injury, had surgery and out for the season
Tyreece John-Jules - Hamstring injury, is allegedly back in light training so could play a part before the season ends
Jake Rooney - Knee injury, ACL so thought his season was over but is in light training so could play a part before the season ends
Josh Vickers - thigh injury, close to a return but not ready yet, Warne apparently said they could strap his thigh up but not worth a risk.

Bessie1 got a reaction from Comrade 86 in Promotion Rivals Watch
Posh v Bolton will be Peterborough’s seventh game in 20 days - they’ll be exhausted and also saving themselves for the playoffs. Before that, Bolton have two home games against lowly opposition. I know anyone can lose to anyone else on their day, but Bolton v Pompey is clearly massive for us.

Bessie1 reacted to RadioactiveWaste in Match Thread: Wycombe (a)
I'm not saying leaving a poo in the changing rooms al la Leeds away (allegedly ) that time is a grown up or sensible thing to do. I'm just saying if there was somewhere to leave a poo, Wycombe would be it.

Our first game in “the 11-point season” was a 2-2 draw against Pompey. I remember leaving the ground thinking “that was pretty good, I think we’ll do alright this season”.

Bessie1 reacted to Ambitious in Match Thread: vs Portsmouth (a)
For all the outrage, without proper surgery to either team (and even then) this is most likely to be correct.
Ipswich have done well, but there is a drastic difference between what we saw from them and ourselves (and Portsmouth). Fortunately, I feel that the management and club are very much aware that is the case and will do what is required to be as competitive as possible.
Sheffield Wednesday last season were a better team than both of us, and they weren’t great, they’re in a relegation battle. Plymouth, also, in a relegation battle. We have to respect what we are walking into, should we get promoted.

Bessie1 reacted to RadioactiveWaste in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
Well, forest's ownership must have been convinced that buying a referee would have the same effect in the prem that it has in other leagues....but no ones been brave enough to tell him mark clattenberg is retired and is just writing letters on club headed paper.

Oh no! Wingers crossing - that’s not part of our game at all! Please don’t tell your manager!! We play everything through the middle.

Nice one.

Bessie1 reacted to Srg in Match Thread: vs Portsmouth (a)
He seemed to look decent, but there was a couple of things he needs to work on off the limited look we’ve had. Clearly, one of them is defensively which I think is the main one he’s not played as much (bar the injury). The other is that he had a tendency to release the ball then just stand there instead of making a run or moving the defenders.
