    Why not?
Interesting point made about choosing Warne over Rosenior by Clowes. 'Duty of care' it was called.
"The club has been reviewing and assessing the managerial position since David Clowes took over and Liam Rosenior has been fantastic. They have a great relationship. The club has a duty of care towards Liam's career as someone taking his first steps in managing and what might happen to Liam if it didn't work out played a part in the decision.
Paul Warne brings experience and now is his time for a big job at a big club. Other clubs were after him, both those with and those without a manager currently. David Clowes liked how he treats players, and journalists, encouraging everyone to get the best out of themselves."
It seems obvious to some/many that Warne is struggling in his 'big job at a big club', will there also be a consideration of 'duty of care' to him? Some of his media interviews have been little short of 'desperate' at times have they not? Is he suffering and not dealing well with the pressures that managing 'a big club' brings?

A few enormous, glaring tactical errors in the first half. Fornah looked lost at times trying to play as the 10 (but had a really encouraging 2nd half playing deeper), sitting so deep after we scored was absolutely criminal. Very clear Thommo was the link between midfield and attack and we really missed him today, hopefully Embelton can fill that role.
Looked better with 10 men, although the chasm between the midfield and attack was still enormous. TJJ and Fornah looked like good players, and Vickers was solid. Bizarrely, that was still one of Bradley's best performances for us. Other than the f*** up, he defended strongly and caused errors in their box instead of ours for a change.
All in all, we'd probably have taken 3 points from the last two games, and we've lost to a deflection. The performance was poor, at times inexcusable, but at least we've got some time to bed the players in and get the injuries healed.

Paul’s interview on rams tv. States that the team didn’t show enough character and then a minute later commends them for their character.

Really? What answer could Clowes give that would satisfy fans without alienating Warne and the players?

He throws the team/management under the bus by agreeing that the football isn’t good enough or he doesn’t answer the question which would get the fans’ backs up.

    he’s shy and resrved

But when asked about Paul Warne he actually looked pleased. Maybe we have a good manager after all

As much as that interview made The Green Mile look like a comedy, I do feel bad for the chap.
Coming off a big long injury, played really well for his hometown club for 18 months beforehand. His manager tells him he'll be in his plans for the weekend, gets the player excited. Behind the scenes a deal at Sunderland, we've enquired about him and now for whatever reason, they think it's better for him to gain some fitness here.
I'm guessing this move came out of the blue and it's been a very long day or so for him. Escaping Sunderland into the 21st century must have been a shock as well.
    Welcome to Derby 🐏🐏🐏

£25 to watch Stoke or £30 to watch Derby, I do have to ask you WHY.🫣
Sunderland tickets at Coventry last Saturday were £37 adults, £32 over 60s and under 21s and £25 under 18s.

The blog started by David is your opinion of whether we should stick with him or give until October, December or end of the season etc. I for one was not happy when we took on Paul Warne and I gave my reasons from day one. But at the moment we are stuck with him and his team of coaches. His tactics/style/formation etc will only work with quality players that also have pace and lots of energy. I think the centre backs are good quality but lack pace. Warne needs to make the squad/team more adaptable and if he can't do this, then he his a one trick pony.
I hope i am wrong and our manager can alter/adapt against each opposition that we play against. Even our big 4-2 win at Peterboro was not overly convincing, had the Posh frontline had their shooting boots on in the chances they created it could have been a different result. And before any forum member states we were better than the Posh, that was only down to being more clinical on the day. They had more possession, shots and shots on target than us. We had Waggy who was at his best, scoring his 5th hat-trick of his career. Lets not forget, Forsyth was the one that wanted Waggy at his pre-season testimonial and perhaps Warne got lucky.

Only one team has scored more than us in the league, and we are just 1 goal behind the 3 teams with the best goal difference in the league.

It's not being smart, it's not professionalism, it's cheating.
Playing fair and succeeding can well go together.  If Warne needs to rely on players faking injuries to win games, that is not a flattering reflection of his managerial skills.  i trust that Warne is ambitious and self confident enough to stamp out this kind of tomfoolery.

Gamesmanship to waste time is one thing but to feign a head injury, when it's as clear as day there was no contact to the head, is indefensible in my mind.

If he wanted to time waste then he surely could just have fell to the floor holding his hamstring or leg generally. The rolling around like his head had been attacked with an axe was absolutely pathetic. Was he trying to get their player sent off too? Nope, no excuse for that extreme behaviour.

Bessie1 reacted to Ambitious in Jordan Rhodes - gone to Blackpool
As I was having a little read of the fall out of their loss to Blackpool, it was evident that he was a class apart from the rest of his team. They made reference of him wanting to get on the first bus back to Huddersfield. The comments very similar to our issues with Rosenior last season.
On Rhodes, he’s had the best goal per minutes ratio in each of Huddersfield’s last three seasons. He’s played in the Championship for over a decade and is one of the most decorated forwards at that level in the last 20-30 years. I have absolutely no doubts that Blackpool have deeper creativity issues, but ultimately I am positive that Rhodes will stand as a class apart at this level. To compare him to Collins, in my opinion, is disrespectful. Waghorn and Washington are different types of players. I’m happy to get TJJ as I think he has the potential to be a real player for us not only at this level but higher up the leagues.

If Rhodes is old, slow, couldn't trap a bag of cement and completely ineffectual outside the box, then yeah, we have that striker already in Collins.
For what it's worth, he would be pointless for us. We have old forward players.

The ref does seem to have done pretty well. Even this bit from the Peterborough local paper (which is a good read about the match) agreed:
    https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/peterborough-united-played-a-big-part-in-a-great-game-but-now-face-a-nervous-week-and-why-are-we-booing-former-players-4270238
and says (for those who'll complain about the link and the ads):
"Referee Smith was excellent yesterday and it’s baffling what upset Ferguson so much he was shown two yellow cards in quick succession. The second appeared to be brandished because he sarcastically applauded the first caution with a zealous fourth official eager to dob the boss in, but it would have been good to hear Ferguson’s version of events. Sadly daft EFL rules ban red-carded managers from conducting post-match press conferences which is more of a reward than a punishment for a manager with tough questions to answer."

I don’t think it does at all if the team that conceded want to walk to the centre spot to kick off they can do no matter how quickly the team that scored get the ball back to the centre spot. All this wrestling for the ball after a goal is a waste of effort in my opinion
