I know its off topic but not really worth setting a new thread: I'm kinda surprised by McDonald. Not saying he was destined to be a star or anything, but a year as 2nd choice RB and option at CB in League 1 could have suited both parties

Not a fan of reverting back to U21 being the oldest academy team. In my view footballers aren’t fully developed until they’re 23/24, so the previous age limit was about right. You’re limiting the opportunities for late bloomers to come through, as 21/22 year olds will now be let go if they haven’t made the first team yet, even though they might have made it with a bit more time to develop.

This is one of my concerns with him, you don’t want to tame his aggression, but it needs to be controlled aggression.
His discipline record isn’t great at all.
Championship -  15 cards in 2880 minutes, card every 192 minutes.
Premier League 2 - 16 cards in 3110 minutes, card every 194 minutes.
U18s Premier League - 11 cards in 1804 minutes, card every 164 minutes.
If he was to play every 4140 minutes of League 1 football, with a card every 194 minutes he would be looking at 21.
Now obviously he would pick up suspensions with that, you pick up a one match ban for 5 yellows in 19 games, the a 3 match ban if he was to pick up 15 yellows.
So take away that one match suspension which he would be nailed on for early on and the further 3 match ban, that’s 3780 possible minutes of injury free  League 1 football. 19 cards if he was to pick one up every 194 minutes.
Last season, Luke Leahly led the league with 14 cards playing 3780 minutes of football, card every 270 minutes.
tl;dr Sibley needs to dial it back a bit.

Wilson looked class when was 17 but seems to have suffered with all the injuries he’s had. Shame
