I think, not 100% sure it was mentioned that the agreed business plan could be reviewed and possibly adjusted after the 1st year. I think part of it was based on Derby having approx 17,000 season ticket holders. I don't know how many season ticket holders we currently have and that's also counting the top up of some fans doing the half a season purchase.
Also we have been shown on TV a few times, that's addition revenue. Prize monies in the FA cup also adds to the pot. So with our home fixtures in the league currently averaging 27,000 that is more income for the club. Oh, and before anyone asks, I'm not volunteering to sleep with Rick Parry.

Well the bookies a few weeks ago had the Rams at 40 to 1 to be winners of League one. Last week after beating Cheltenham we was 25 to 1. Now after beating Bolton we are down to 20 to 1. Sheff Weds are favourites, followed by Ipswich then Plymouth, they must be thinking that Plymouth are going to drop off. We are currently the favourites to win the play-offs at 10 to 3 and only 6 to 1 to make a top 2 spot.

Plymouth Argyle's Home Park ground have solar panels on the roof of their south facing stand. They initially only had a few on the stand roof then added more during last summer. I'm surprised with energy costs that more clubs have'nt done the same.

Difficult to say, I think Rosenior deserves credit for putting this team together.

Too many draws? We have drawn 8 games, the top 2 have drawn 7, Ipswich currently above us have drawn 9. It's not losing that gets you points.

It's interesting to see the next 4 fixtures the top 6 have, starting with Tuesday night Cheltenham V Sheff Weds, Exeter V Barnsley, Ipswich V Morecambe, Bolton V FGR and Derby away to Port Vale. That will see us with only a game in hand over Plymouth, Sheff Weds Ipswich and Bolton with Barnsley still having a game in hand over us and 2 games in hand over the others. Cup weekend sees only Charlton V Bolton, a game the Trotters need to win because by then they will have played the most games on the other top 6 teams. Wednesday the 1st Feb is Oxford V Barnsley, thats putting Barnsley down to only one game in hand over the other rivals but by then played the same as the Rams.
Saturday 4th Feb is Bolton V Cheltenham, Cambridge V Ipswich, Derby V Morecambe, Portsmouth V Barnsley and Sheff Weds V Plymouth. Saturday 11th Feb is Barnsley V Cambridge, Ipswich V Sheff Weds, Peterboro V Bolton, Plymouth V Portsmouth and Wycombe V Derby. Then Tuesday 14th its Bolton V MK Dons, Bristol Rovers V Ipswich, Oxford V Plymouth, Port Vale V Barnsley, Sheff Weds V Morecambe and the Rams at home to Lincoln.
After playing Lincoln at home we will have one game in hand over Argyle and I think the current 14 point gap will have shrunk. Cheltenham have now lost 4 matches on the bounce (are they due a draw/win on Tuesday night?) Dare I state we could be above Ipswich after these 4 matches (Their 4 games are Morecambe(H), Cambridge(A), Sheff Weds(H),Bristol R(A)). Come away from Port Vale with 3 points and I believe we will close up on at least 2 of the 3 teams above us.

Without stating the bleed1ng obvious. Warne has got us where we are with a fully inherited team. We are all aware that in the Jan window we can only get freebies and loans, where as others can spend. So what Warne has will be the pick of those who do not have a team.
What Warne does have is a team of bandits/ dirty dozen built by Rosenior who managed to get a good few players he should have had no right to persuade to play in league one.
We are playing good football and moving in the right direction. This will help when trying to talk those players who are available and think they are still at championship level, to drop into league one and get on the might Rams rolling band wagon.

Top 2 would seem a long way off, but I for one would have taken a top six place this time last year, hell I would have just been happy with still being a football club.

Its the players that we have in our squad that are very good for this league and in some cases, a few could fit into a championship team and not look out of place. As the season unfolded our squad of players have got used to the league, improved as a team and yes playing at our best we would beat any team in this league. May our unbeaten run continue and the likes of the top 3 keep looking over their shoulders. Yes, I also have my Ram-goggles on with my pint of homebrew beer in front of me. COYR

A few weeks back we were one of the teams in the league with 2nd or 3rd best least goals conceded. Now we have got the best record by none. What we did lack was goals for, which was quite low a few weeks ago. Now we have scored 33 putting us 8th best in goals for. The likes of Plymouth, Ipswich, Sheff Weds, Bolton, Barnsley, Wycombe, Bristol Rovers and Peterboro have all got squads thats been together longer than the Rams. Our squad was assembled approx 2 weeks before the season started. Thats why we are getting into a run, because the team has got better, it's finally tuned and firing in all positions. We are blessed with some good players that came to the club and could be good enough to still be part of a Championship team. We have the advantage of not many players coming in during the January window which won't imbalance the squad. I think this will be in our favour compared to the likes of Plymouth, who have so far signed 5 players. Ipswich have brought in 3, but Sheff Weds so far have brought in none.
Looking at the next 6 fixtures we have 3 fixtures against teams currently in the top 10. During the same period the 3 teams above us also play 6 league games. Plymouth play Ipswich and Sheff Weds, Sheff Weds also play Ipswich. There's points to be dropped there by possibly all of the 3 teams. If we beat Bolton, Wycombe and Portvale the gap between us and the top 3 will get closer and we will still have a game in hand on 2 of them and 2 in hand over the current leaders. We currently have 22 league games to play, avoid injuries, beat the teams around us, could still mean an automatic position is up for grabs.

Oops missed that result and yes we were poor in that Lincoln Match and that could have been when David Clowes and Co made the decision to approach Paul Warne, even though Liam's last game yielded a win against Wycombe.

It always amazes me how many people are on here writing that its time to change, take this player off and bring so and so on,do you know better than a manager who has gone 16 games unbeaten, leave it up to Paul to make decisions,he is the man who is steering this ship !

Yes credit goes to the current manager and his coaching staff and we will never know if under Rosenior if he would have adapted with the style of play and also improved the team. Lets look at one major factor, Liam Rosenior assembled a squad in a very short period of time and over time they have got better. Any new team, especially the amount of incoming players we had would have taken some time to gel and the coach would have been looking for his best style/formula/tactics and a set period of time.

A bit of confusion on here I think. I was very vocal (unusually for me) not about the appointment of Warne but about some of the early performances.
Quite frankly a few of the early performances were appalling kick and rush affairs and if we were still doing it I would be vocal about it now.
Credit to Paul Warne, the management team and players that we have now got much more control and fluidity in our play. Long may it continue but if we resort to kick and hope again I for one am calling it out. What's wrong with that?
