There seems to be a widespread inability to separate poor communication from overall competence. That combined with a misappropriation of blame whenever things don't go to plan is a lethal combination.

We didn't enter administration for a laugh. In the financial position Mel Morris left us, even before considering the extra problems he created with the EFL and Steve Gibson etc, liquidation was a very real possibility and perhaps even the most likely outcome. People appear to have forgotten just how much of a poo-show was inherited

Very few people would have touched the job. Part of a (particularly unbalanced) Athletic article the other week included one would-be practitioner saying they wouldn't have taken the job on unless the stadium was included in the first place, but they also recognised that there was no way of forcing that to happen. It struck me as a bit odd to say the least - it's too hard a job for them to take on, but they'll criticise those who did when it proves difficult? Nice one, Gerald.

The only thing that matters is that there is a buyer, anything more than that - avoiding further points penalties from not paying 25% to creditors and not paying player wages - is a bonus. That we are currently in a position of completing a deal that provides those bonuses is evidence in itself that the claims of gross incompetence are pretty far fetched.

Yes, some things could have been handled better, that will always be the case in a complex deal like this. Imperfection isn't incompetence. Incompetence would have seen us fold months ago, or starting next season with a points deduction that far exceeds even last season's.

Complain all you like about deadlines etc, but quite frankly I couldn't give a toss if their communication skills upset people just as long as the job gets done in the end!

I want you banned from this forum for at least a month. How dare you give a balanced and realistic approach on here! Be gone!?

  2. 24th June 2022 will go down in the annals of DCFC as a day we started on our long journey back to some sort of stability and then, later in the day, the rug was pulled from under us. Was like every Ram super excited about Clowes involvement thinking this could be the end in sight of ridding MM's influence finally away from my beloved team. Rooney's departure was inevitable but perhaps the timing could have been better. It may have been the Kirschner fiasco; the uncertainty of where the new owner wants to go; could DCFC pay his wages (or was he asked for a cut in his pay?) No one will know. But I would like to add that last season was one of the best I have witnessed in all my years supporting my team. Yes we went down but the unity that Wayne exuded to the players, the staff and to us the supporters I will truely be grateful for. Wayne thank you for what you did for this team and the supporters. I wish you all the very best in whatever you do in the future and you can leave us with your head held high. For DCFC it's a time for rebuilding, a time to be away from the limelight and build a team that can compete. I will still buy my season ticket and support this frustrating, beautiful enigma of a club whoever is the owner, whoever is the manager, and whoever owns PP. I am one of many many supporters who will still be there on the terraces because it is in my DNA! UTR!

  3. I still feel that MM will not sell to MA. Appleby's 'bid' will win through - eventually. Will be over the moon that we can at last look forward to having a club! Hurry up Q, accept the bid and then pi $$ off. Come on DCFC get these season tickets sorted out! Wayne, can play drop back goalie if needed! UTR!

  4. Leroy Rosenior just been on SSN. Says Liam still has a great attachment to Derby and desperately wants, along with Wayne, someone to buy the club. He mentioned the staff, fans, the community all affected by the 'situation at Derby'. Very eloquent Leroy, well done mate. Now I know why Liam speaks so passionately. A chip off the old block.

  5. If we do survive (please God) I can live with a minus 15 points deduction.  Rooney HAS to stay, so whoever is our owner they need to tie him down for at least two more years. With his contacts we have a better chance of fielding a team which could compete in Division 1 . You never know we could reach the playoffs!!! No I haven't been at the falling down water - ok - sorry that's a 'Kirschism '- I have had one or two!

  6. My patience has run out now for CK. Quantuma as well. We HAVE TO MOVE ON!!! Enough is enough. Get all the proposed bidders together (on line) and give them an ultimatum. Whoever is the highest bidder by Thursday evening at 5pm ( not Friday as another day is wasted) then you are the one to move forward. No CK bullshitting, no Q (having to ask an approval from MM) sidestepping. GET IT FRIGGING DONE FOR ALL THE DCFC FANS WHO ARE CURRENTLY TEARING THEIR HAIR OUT. WHAT A FRIGGING LAUGHING STOCK WE HAVE BECOME!!!! Still UTR!
