Sat in the A block of the main stand, toilets bordering on primitive, refreshments non existent and the most uncomfortable minuscule 1950s wooden seats ever encountered!

But then again, a 4-2 win, great atmosphere, improved performance all round and a couple of promising young lads making their debuts……………..all in all a bloody good day out! 😁👍

It was correct at the time. We were awful for 25 minutes, our first goal changed the game for 25 minutes.
This harassing of other posters is getting ridiculous.

Old Spalding Ram got a reaction from SKRam in Tyreece John-Jules - joined on a 6-month loan, extended to end of season
This is my reply to a post by Ambitious on the summer thread who recommended this lad about a month ago.
Seems obviously cheesed off from continuous loans.
Like you say ex clubs supporters and managers seem to like the lad so it is rather surprising how nobody’s been interested in signing him permanently.
Anyway, I read an article in the East Anglia Times taken from the Beautiful Game Podcast, seems to sum up his career so far.
Since I was 17/18, every season I've had a big injury.
I played one game at Sheffield Wednesday. I came on and in the first two minutes I got injured (quad).
At Ipswich I had back-to-back injuries (hamstring and quad). I missed six months of the season, so it's be tough to say the least.
The second injury came on the last day of my hamstring rehab. The next day I had been due to train with the team.
When that happened my head was gone. I didn't know what to do. Thankfully my family were there to pick me up.
It's been bad. All the time questioning myself. 'What am I doing wrong?' 'What do I need to change?'
This can't keep happening. I can't keep having month after month of not playing.
    Shame really……………wish him well.
would be an excellent signing if he stayed fit.👍

Yeah, he scored both Arsenal’s goals in a 5-2 loss.
Best players on the pitch were him and Sibley that day. Sibs was unbelievable. The fifth goal he won the ball deep, went past 3-4 Arsenal players and slipped Whittaker in for his second. I think Sibley celebrated in the face of the keeper after.
Watching the highlights - shows John-Jules played a key part. Set up Saka, missed a penalty and hit the crossbar with a lovely effort.

I think back to the playoff semifinal away at Brighton. We knew that we were light years ahead of them. Yes they had a nice new ground with comfy seats and guest ales, and yes they scored first, but we never doubted we would overcome them. We did and then some. If you'd told me then what our relative positions would be now, I'd have thought you'd lost your mind.
Brighton are one of several very well run clubs with great planning and business models who have risen up the leagues and are now established in the Prem. Of course they had some luck when it was needed, something we have fallen down on. But sometimes you make your own luck. If you're Eirin Cashin and you have the chance to go, and to try to prove yourself in the top flight, and an opportunity for the riches a club such as Brighton can now offer, you jump at it in an instant. You'd be mad not to. For our sake, I love watching Eirin for us and hope he stays and we can rise up through the leagues together. The way he plays all over the pitch even reminds me of McFarland, sometimes on the left wing! I'm not suggesting for even a nanosecond he's at that level, but equally I scoff at anyone who believes he's already reached his ceiling. What madness is that?

I turned Rams Player off after 75 minutes and willfully joined Mrs R in the lounge, to watch some wedding planner challenge show with Sara Davies & Jacque from First Dates.  That's how bad it was!!!
I thought we were unlucky against Wigan, because we were at least on the front foot and looked like we wanted to play football, but last night was turgid.  It'll go down along side Barnsley away under Pearson as one of the dullest performances I've ever witness.
I really like Warne, he's a good human being and I really want to turn things around, but unless he can turn things around within the next 3 games I think he'll be out.
The first thing he should consider is changing the formation.  I know he's signed players that, in theory, suit this system but at the moment only Ward (and possibly Fozzy) really seems to get it.  We looked so much better last season when he let the players at his disposal dictate the formation, not the other way around.  With who we have at the moment, he should switch to something like -
    --------------Wildsmith
    Ward----Nelson-------Fozzy----Elder
    ---------Hourihane---Bird
    Waghorn-----Sibley----------Barks
    --------------Collins

Liverpool Echo ratings for the Bolton v Everton friendly.
    Lewis Dobbin - 8
A really impressive showing from the youngster. He looked sharp, made the right runs in behind, and looked to get at the Bolton defence every chance he could. He should have scored in the first half, but he sent the perfect message to his boss.

Looks like he’s going nowhere……shame, I’d have had him back, good luck to the lad

If we need a budget version, I’d really like a Dobbin or similar with electrifying pace who can stretch and distract defenders. Even if that player isn’t prolific he will help those around him.
Rhodes sounds poor VFM and it’s dangerous to buy a player based on success in the distant past, especially if that player is earning more than those around him.
