You won’t be treated like animals by us, we’re just grateful to be playing clubs like Derby. We’re used to Barnet, Hartlepool, Rochdale, etc so are still rubbing our eyes in disbelief when clubs bring more than 200 fans. But we also rub our eyes in disbelief when we see aeroplanes, so it’s not that big a compliment.
    Anyway, enjoy your day out!

    something like this makes sense.
If it’s to be 3 central defenders then Knight and Sibley as wing backs makes more sense.
Mendez-Laing & Barkhuizen operating as wing backs really is “one step beyond”

Exeter fan here, loads of good tips on this thread already, didn’t realise you were all staying for three weeks.
I’d just add a few things: the poster who said we’re a friendly bunch is spot on, there won’t be any trouble unless you go looking for it which I’m sure you won’t. Avoid the Duke of York in that regard.
The away end will have great pasties but they will sell out quickly, we don’t have the ovens to keep 15,000 pasties warm so please don’t abuse the catering staff, it’s not their fault. Either get there early or eat in town or at the Red Square fanzone which will be very welcoming, even if you’re wearing colours.
Not sure which Exeter will turn up today, and imagine you’ll be saying the same thing. We gave a huge amount of energy in the argyle game on Saturday so some players may be rested, I’m looking forward to seeing our line up. I’m hoping for a good game and a City win (obvs) with a good atmosphere, but if you score twice in the first ten minutes it’ll be a morgue, especially after Saturday’s undeserved defeat to argyle which we’re all still hurting from.
The designated away pub is St Anne’s Well which is a two minute walk to the away turnstiles. And your coaches will drop you off and pick you up from right outside the turnstiles as well.

I really hope you all enjoy your trip to our beautiful city, even after your heavy defeat. Funnily enough I live in Derby so will be travelling down and back today with you all, ha ha.

Id suggest that if our players are not capable of putting 4 or 5 passes together at this level, just to relieve a bit of pressure, that they are in the wrong profession.

Thought Warne showed his colors with his post-match interview. To hide a poor performance, you shift blame and he did that by focusing a lot on the penalty decision and the standard of refereeing.
In previous weeks the focus has been more on the players and performance. But that was a horrible showing and we didn’t deserve the three points anyway. Warne probably knew that, and deflected blame on the referee.
Warne reminds me of Gary Rowett. Likable guy, and easy to support when on a winning run. But when you start to drop points and lose to the better sides, you notice just how crap performance levels are.

At least we have a conscience though. Roger Davies score the penalty then scored an own goal 15 minutes later to cancel It out and make the scores level again.
So we can retain the moral high ground 😀

I was at that match, The reason Mac kicked the ball out was because the ball was deflating and the ref said kick it out, Mac in that instance did as he was told and hoofed into the stand.
Gemmill on the other hand is/was a trained dog handler and by taking the ball to the corner flag is just a habit he caught from walking his dogs.
In all my time I have never seen DCFC players cheat...except when playing the opposition 😁

Joe Wildsmith faked being hit in the knackers against forest green and went down like he’d been shot, wasting about 3 minutes. He even admitted it was nowhere near him after the game to Radio Derby and that he was wasting time.
Swings and roundabouts, every team is at it including ourselves.

To Derby County fans of a certain age this man was God, he was our generations Kevin Hector, his name would reverberate around the Baseball Ground for many years, even long after he had left us, it was his goals that dragged us kicking and screaming up the football league, Peter Taylor’s last moment of genius to add to those many legends he had spotted years before with his mate Brian.
Bobby is a super proud man, he still doesn’t understand the cult hero status that he holds in Derby with the fans, I think that it is a sad reflection on football that he is now working as a baggage handler at Leeds airport.
He should be walking around in diamond encrusted shoes, driving his Aston Martin, he has tried numerous years to let back into the club as a coach with the youth team but that became impenetrable under a certain individual and also MM.
He worked at St George’s for the FA for a number of years.
In my eyes he is an absolute legend of Derby County, an absolute idol as a kid, when everybody else had the keegans, dalglshes and Linekers we had Bobby, we might have been in the third division but it didn’t matter !
he never missed those one on ones with the keeper, he got his head in where it hurt and he had that great 80s moustache.
so heres to you Bobby Davison, Derby loves you more than you will know !

Can definitely recommend The Charters, top scran…………..walk the gangplank!

Real ale features heavily at Charters and the venue is a popular haunt for CAMRA members and other lovers of real ale. The bar is the largest floating real ale emporium in Great Britain, with 8 cask ales on tap doing around 500 guest ales a year. With the largest beer garden in Peterborough, its friendly staff, good atmosphere and suitable for clientele of all ages,

PW said he and the coaches were musing on what changes should be made, It was a statement of intent from the manager even tho he said it wasn't to embarrass the players...I've been watching the game as much as you have BR...it was an embarrassment for them, He like us were shocked at what we were seeing, There comes a time when a manager has to show the supporter...this aint good enough, I said to the fella next to me...Davies has escaped but not in the dressing room, I'm on record here saying Davies is shot, I understand PW playing Davies...we won 3-2 the week before, So Davies is given another opportunity...well for 45mins anyway.
The players need to show this season hasn't ended prematurely and I don't think it has, This week is a big week down at Moor Farm all need to up their game or PP will not be a happy place to play.

Not been worried about playoffs for a long time and I’m still not now. The teams below the top 6 just aren’t good enough, there are 6 clear teams who are better than the rest. I keep thinking Posh will get going but then they go and lose 3-0 at home to Cheltenham. No way do we have results like that.
I think due to our small squad and over the course of the season you can definitely say there are 3 teams better than us, possibly Barnsley also but I really don’t rate them - we beat ourselves when they beat us 4-1 nothing to do with how they played and no way was it a 4-1 game.
But it’s not about that in the playoffs, we have the match winners to win the playoffs. We’ve beaten Barnsley twice this season, we took 4 points off Bolton, Ipswich are our bogey team and have a deep squad, Plymouth have beaten us twice, but we could’ve easily got results in both those games, Ipswich away also.
This is absolutely nothing like the playoffs with Rowett, we would have every chance!!

I went to the quacks seven years ago for my regular BP check and it was unusually high (I have been on meds for 30 years for high BP), he sent me for blood tests which revealed that I had problems with my kidneys which was the source of the problem. Suspicious, he gave me a PSA test which was 153, yes one hundred and fifty three!! On receipt of the test result he rang me at 8am in the morning and told me to go straight to the Royal Derby. I asked him why and he said its a matter of life and death! They were already waiting for me on urology and immediately catheterised me to drain off excess urine I was retaining.  I was admitted and had all the tests, biopsies etc mentioned by others.
To cut along story short I had high grade cancer which had spread to the lymph nodes, seminal vessels and elsewhere locally, I was given two to Six years if subsequent treatment worked. I had surgery,  38 sessions of RT and hormone treatment. Fortunately, it worked and I am still here some seven years later! I have regular check ups and am now 76.
I had no symptoms, so get checked!

I had no symptoms, had a blood test for something else, visit to hospital, had a marvellous dedicated nurse, “ we can beat this Mr R”, biopsy, brachytherapy which are radioactive beads the size of a grain of rice injected into ……………..anyway, was treated on a Monday morning out Tuesday morning, loads of hospital support, six monthly blood tests and Nurse Rached reckons I’ve beat the bugger!
Good luck DGB………………..to everyone else, get tested, when diagnosed early completely treatable.

Those who are under 55 may be happy to know they have decommissioned the automatic invitations to the unpleasant colonoscopies.
They are very good as a tool for early detection, but ultimately too expensive I suppose.
Everyone will now only get the stool tests through the post, but every 2 years.
Gentlemen, never ignore anything that’s happening out of the ordinary, we may give you a hard time but we love you really and want you to be around as long as possible.
