Tamworthram reacted to The Scarlet Pimpernel in FA Cup 1st Round Draw.
Not trying to be argumentative grumpy but ITVx is pretty much 100% OK on our budget smart TV.

Me too having looked at the forecast which shows very little rain today. Just hope the floods on the roads have had chance to subside.

Looks like heavy rain throughout most of the night but stopping early morning.
Probably best to review mid morning rather make a call this evening. I'm not optimistic but at least most of us will be mainly using motorways and the main A5. I'm parking at my uncles house as he lives less than a mile from the ground but, there is no point in asking him. He won't know what the surrounding roads are like.

No need to be sarcastic but it strikes me that if a mate says the game is off, the first thing most people would do is ask where they'd heard it. Hardly forensic rigour.

Has anyone heard from @B4ev6is? Is he OK?
I don't remember seeing him post for a while and I would have thought this is a topic he'd have a view on.

I think travel will be the biggest issue.
Having been out in this, its pretty slow and in parts dangerous

As long as he doesn’t do a Mel.😉

But that’s not all he said is it? We’re as bad as the Daily Mail (not like them to emphasise one element of an interview to have a snipe at the BBC 😀) if we extract one small portion in order to distort an interview.
To note, I am not defending either side in this conflict (I’ve said before, there don’t seem to me any good guys - just villains and innocent victims) and certainly not Israel’s past treatment of the people of Palestine or their current response but if the Israeli president, as part of an interview, criticised the BBC for their reporting then I hardly think this is greatest crime committed in the appalling situation.
Propaganda in war is hardly a new phenomenon.

That’s the second time today I’ve seen that phrase misquoted on this forum to sound more painful. 😀
It’s “bat an eyelid” not “batter an eyelid” unless you live in Glasgow and have run out of mars bars.

Tamworthram got a reaction from CongletonRam in What are your long term realistic ambitions for DCFC?
Realistic ambitions:
Five years: Solid and established Championship team that never seriously flirts with relegation.
Longer term: A strong Championship team that challenges (as best it can against clubs with parachute payments) for promotion to the Prem and manages to get there and stay there for a few years. A cup win at Wembley would be nice but that’s never going to be easy if the top Premier League teams take the major cups even slightly seriously.
Wider than DCFC, 1) world peace and 2) harmony (or at least respectful recognition of others opinions, avoidance of multiple threads on the same topic and not boring everyone else by repeating ourselves) on this forum (I think number 1 is more likely than number 2).

Established in the Championship and building a young team again like we did under Nigel Clough.

A decade or more ago, I asked for one more flirtation with Europe (any level) before I pop my clogs.
I'll set my sights a little lower now. One more victory at Wembley - even in a Mickey Mouse tournament - will do.

I want a team that unites @RoyMac5 and @Tyler Durden

My personal exit poll consists of the fella I go walking with, my brother, cousin, Scott at work, bloke I sit next to at the match, two of the stewards and Sibs.
Hardly the biggest field, but it's an indicator non the less 😆

I would say that if "The overwhelming majority" wanted him gone, there would be clear unarguable evidence, such as a cacophony of full time boos, Warne Out Banners, and certainly a significant number of chants throughout the game loud enough for all 4 sides to hear.

Tamworthram reacted to angieram in Away tickets 23/24
I've just returned two tickets for Shrewsbury away and the Club is willing to accept them up to 24 hours' before kick-off. They keep a proper waiting list of people who will benefit. In my case, it's likely to be someone who can get to Pride Park to pick up the tickets at short notice. Unforeseen circumstances, sadly.
But I always think this is better than randomly passing them on Twitter. You've no idea what sort of behaviour might ensue from a fan with a ticket that has your identity on it.

In future can people who can no longer go to the games return the tickets to the club so people like myself on the waiting list have a chance and the points are allocated correctly

How much Derby are “respected” by other clubs fans is debatable but that’s not what the debate is about. It’s whether broadcasters would find Wrexham and their Hollywood connections more appealing than Derby.
