Probably not a good sign that Fulham, Bournemouth and Leeds all picked up points (and competed).
They were saying how Forest were backs to the wall for pretty much the entire game. Not surprising. They will struggle to compete this season despite the money they have thrown at it.

Certainly should - they can hardly claim that they’ve signed him for the youth team now he’s played for them in the Prem….

I used to dream of us signing Messi or Ronaldo, now I just long for us to sign somebody, anybody, whose name can't be punned 

This is a signing which will have rattled many, however we’re on an EFL business plan, limited to contracts we can offer.
Swear some fans would have preferred us to go under, or be signing a bunch of non league players only and dropping down to League 2, then we might be given some slack.
I get it’s a competition, it’s no different in the EFL meetings where owners have only their self interest in mind, but the way some are going on now like their clubs have always been squeaky clean is beyond me.
When Leicester won the Premier League, I don’t recall them being hammered for it as they didn’t pay their bills a few seasons prior, they are still looked at quite fondly for being the club that did the impossible.
Maybe that’s what we have to go on and do now….

How can we be dismissive of "little teams" in League One and celebrate too much at beating them, both at the same time?

I think we are celebrating having a team at all , having the stadium back and the start of a new season and a new era. All capped off with a win. Can't be bad.

Wednesday fans are hilarious. Their club committed blatant accounts fraud and were let off with a punishment that basically said "they didn't mean it" when only a soppy mug would believe that. But they think what we did was worse. 

We weren't the ones chucking a whole stadium of revenue into the wrong accounts. Feck em 

This fella plays for Barnsley and Poland.  He's still at Barnsley with no talk of playing in league 1 damaging his selection .  All seems rather odd to me.

Should be paying the lot or we should have waited now he's fit. Either that, or he should be forgoing his extra as he want's the move .

Why is it? You have to earn the right to play at highest levels. Lucky or not, he's not proven anything at any level above League 1. I can barely remember what he looks like, let alone how effective he is in the Championship

Nah. There is a footballer in him, but how many games over the last 3 seasons has he been a significant influencer. I bet it is less than the fingers on my one hand, and I am neither from Nottingham or Norwich. Free up some wages to sign a few forwards, and a goalkeeper.

Thought he was going somewhere to help his International ambitions ?

Maybe we can give him first team experience so he can earn a move back to Palace?

Our most expensive player that played today was Fozzy who cost us a whopping £150k. Everyone else was either free or from the academy.
I thought we did well upto 70 mins and the changes started coming. We had a number 10 and a number 9 as wingers after NML and Barkz went off, who I thought both played well. This shows you where we need better cover. 

Max bird best derby player on the pitch by a mile. Keeping him will be our best signing this season. Not convinced in Collins and thought we missed mcgoldrick as the gap was to big between centre mid and attack. One of the 3 needs to get closer

Like last season, we need to be quicker to move the ball, through midfield, into the last 3rd of the pitch. Our build up is too slow, by the time we get it into the last 3rd of the pitch there are 2 lines of 4 players facing us.

You’re having to make up possible situations to defend a guy ditching us in one of our darkest times. I can criticise him because he has done this - there’s no speculation. He literally used a loophole to tear up his contract with us. 
 
On the other hand Bobby Duncan just isn’t being played…

It is astounding that Quantuma, Triple S, the EFL and everyone else involved went along with him. Embarrassing for all of them.

One of them hasn’t used a legal loophole in our hour of need to break out of a contract he damn well signed. Hope that clarifies the difference between the two…
