Been told to expect some movement this week, couple of ins and potentially a few outs. My guess would be Rhodes in and maybe a 10 on loan. Outs would be some of the younger lads getting some first team minutes 

Is it me or does Collins look leaner and sharper from last season, I know it's only pre season but he doesn't look the same player from last season to me.

How can you not like him...
 

Seen Ipswich strengthened the striker department yet again yesterday with Thomas, would be a nice punt on Ladapo on loan maybe?  

He is starting to get into a habit of scoring goals, 2 with his head too.
Never a bad habit to get into.
Let's hope this carries on into the season.

I can’t imagine PW sat down with the recruitment team a week after the play off loss and agreed on a plan to only enquire about Rhodes in mid July. This is opportunist, potentially because our other plans have gone to pot. 
Screams of lack of availability for our targets. We’re at the mercy of other clubs for good players. That or this big budget DC spoke of isn’t big enough.

We have had 10 players out and 7 in. We have filled the right back slots which we didn’t do last season but there are still big holes in the squad and I think we need another four players and need now to focus on quality forwards. 

I'm led to believe it's another striker, 2 x '10s' and another midfielder. Currently no thoughts of loaning Rooney out. 

I fully expect to be ridiculed, but I stand by my prediction that Collins will comfortably score 20+ goals this season !!

This is turning into a really positive transfer window and we look like 1 or 2 signings away from a relatively formidable team at this level. I feel the squad looks a lot stronger than last season already. We do need strikers (another 2) and a hard man in midfield but once we have those I'm feeling good! 

Contract extensions being sorted too 👏 

For me this is great news. 
 
The odd game where he was a bit Rabbit in headlights but those apart was strong, consistent and showed a good array of skills. He seems a thoroughly amiable young man who plays with commitment and passion. He’s also a “big lad” something vital in this division. At his age he’s only going to get better. 

We should definitely be after Brannagan 

Think the fee Bolton a agreed was rumoured at 200k, at that price it’s a steal 

Good reminder that Knight is also one of the highest earners. 2M with a sell on fee, Kane Wilson and a good chunk of wage made available with him and Bielik. We’ve had their pants down 

Brilliant outcome for all parties, especially if Wilson comes in too. 
Wish him the best and will watch how he gets on this season!

It was 2-0 at half time then they put a lot of younger players on. Only what I was told by someone who went. 
 
Typical first pre season game. A win is good in any game. I must say at times I do wonder about some of our fan base. Stood behind the goal next to a bloke and must have been his mum, scooped straight off Skeggy market, absolutely slating every one, hurling abuse at Collins while we were defending a corner, and digging out Warne. Luckily baby pig went and got himself and mummy pig a chip cob and it seemed to quieten them down while they were troughing. Apart when his bottle of Carling fell over, the sheer confusion on his amply round face as he didn’t know whether to sacrifice his beer of stop eating. Luckily Dominoes must have had an offer on at 16:00 as they disappeared at half time. 
 
Decent day out though. 

Cashin one of the only players I'd be genuinely gutted to see go. 

I can see a couple more permanemt deals...a wingback & a forward with & a replacement for Knight.
Could then see 2 or 3 loans in, another CB, an attacking mid & a 4th striker.

CM - Brannagan
FWD - Nombe
Vale could potentially be the 4th striker.
Nixon saying he has a story tomorrow on us, could be outgoings but he has said we're still very active.

He doesn't sound stupid, so seeing his League 1 record he gets a chance from me! 😄

I think back to when he first played, I think he hit the post, had one ruled out and one cleared off the line. He was doing everything right. If those 3 had gone in and been his start at DCFC I think we might have seen a different player last season. 
 
I guess all will be revealed. One thing for sure it looks like we have added some much needed muscle and won’t be as physically lightweight this season.

For context before Mcgolderick’s 22 last season , he only had 5 seasons of double figures out of about 15-16 seasons 134 goals .
Washington has 161 goals in less seasons. I fully expect him to outweigh his expectations.
