Extremely funny but it’s quality was you grew to love the characters…..one minute you would be laughing your head off and the next have a tear in your eye. Brilliantly written. Like Fawlty Towers, just the 2 series and 12 episodes ?

What a place to be in. Couldn't go today, and only listened to RD for the 2nd half. Curiously my non-footballing wife has put FA Cup football on 3 times this weekend, and I have just watched Manchester City v Chelsea. City have been really good, and lead 3 - 0 at half-time, but I said to Veronica "You can watch whatever you want". "What about the football?" she asked. "It doesn't matter" , I replied. IT DOESN'T MATTER!IT isn't Derby County, and it is a world where money, power and privilege count for all. Skill, ability, etc are irrelevant. If we get into that realm, then it will matter because it is Derby County, but right now, I don't care one thing about it.
BUT: the half-tie punditry includes Alan Shearer, who slammed Chelsea, describing them as embarrassing. Regardless of the score, he said "You need to put a shift in. They (Chelsea) haven't". Then I think back to Paul Warne telling us he wanted our player to "gas out" on the pitch, and that is an important factor to what is going on at Pride Park. It has taken a while but we are seeing the results. Our fitness has now reached the right levels, so giving it our all is now well within our capacity. Along with that, Paul's people skills is building a togetherness we haven't seen, possible since the days of Nigel Clough!
Paul has changed us from being a bunch of kids and dads who nobody wanted, into a team nobody wants to play! Brilliant!

Wait til Ipswich , Barnsley and co strengthen in January and we are not allowed to.  We have had a 21 points deduction and got relegated (just) as a result. Hell's teeth how much punishment do we need? As for EFL playing a straight bat , that made me fall off my chair.

Going to be honest here, When Argentina were awarded a penalty for the slightest touch on Tia Maria and he spilled over I'd decided to watch the World at War...again, Gamesmanship/cheating is now a win at all cost, FIFA and the officials turn a blind eye to it all, The game's corrupt and rotting from the inside...imo ?

Have to agree with this, Ruthless, Killer touch, Exceptional play, We've been to 7 World Cup Quarter Finals...the most in history, Great teams, Great players and Great managers...Germany, Brazil, Italy have had what we lack in bold...but time and again we fall down when we think we're there

The way coventry and birmingham fans acted during our crisis was beyond grim. You expect that kind of behaviour from Forest fans but the aggression and glee involved from both those lot means they have lost all sympathy with me.

For me, if I was to travel to X country and they had a rule that said no wearing shorts for example, I wouldn’t take shorts or try to protest the ruling in anyway like wearing a skirt instead.
Likewise I wouldn’t like to see someone coming over to the UK and sleeping with 14 year olds, where the age of consent is 14 in their country.
Respect the laws of the country you are visiting, even if you don’t agree with them or simply do not visit.
So many countries have their own issues (in my opinion) before trying to “fix” other countries, take the US for example where you can go to Walmart and buy yourself an assault rifle, large percentage of Americans will go to great lengths to defend their right to bear arms.
And this is the country which we closely align ourselves with on issues across the Middle East…..
Anyhow, I don’t agree with the initial negotiations FIFA had with the Qatari’s to relax their laws, however when they agreed to, then backtracked and FIFA have supported the decisions, I’m happy to see countries such as Germany stick the middle finger up to FIFA.
Best thing FIFA could have done is say to the Qatari’s, if you change what was agreed, we’ll simply suspend the World Cup until next summer and award it to a country that has the infrastructure in place to host.
The World Cup, a global tournament, the host must be welcoming to all, Qatar should never have been awarded it.

I think that too. If we had somehow limped on things wouldnt have got better. The toxic presence has gone. We have a difficult but fresh start. Perhaps PW's cheerfulness is also one of the reasons DC wanted him around the place - to sweep out any remaining doom and gloom.
However there are certain people and organisations that I will never forgive or forget for the vindictive treatment we received.

Not the point. we were shafted because Steve Gibson threatened Rick Parry. Yes Mel pushed it all to the limit but we actually only got done because Parry was scared of Gibson.
I'm not bothered now, its happened, we are rebuilding under a decent owner and I am proud of our support and the way we rallied round to show the world that Derby County Football Club is, ultimately, only a thing because of us, the fans.
The people of Derby, Derbyshire and the diaspora of DCFC fans around the world who have some affiliation to this great club of ours have all contributed to keeping us alive and giving David Clowes the strength and belief to save us.
Taking all that all into account, its important to remember that we were targeted and treated differently to everyone else because of the shallow, bitter, hateful spite of Steve Gibson and Rick Parry.
If either of those two ever rock up at Derby we should give them the welcome they deserve.

Dennis was a good man by and a too lad - A true gentleman and the communities he lived in lived him - he looked out for anyone and everyone and nothing was too much if he could help people out. Not everyone saw this side of him and many focused on his notoriety in other aspects. A genuine lovable rogue,  I considered him my friend and he will be dearly missed by so many people who’s life he touched.
Rest in peace big man ??

Usually a goal like that takes the crowd by surprise.
On the countless times I've watched that back over the years, I've always loved the way the crowd noise builds expectantly, from the split second he let's fly.  It's like everyone just knew it was on it's way in, like a slow-mo of a 3 yard tap-in!
    An all time classic.
Rest in peace, Mr Radford.  You deserve your rightful spot in FA Cup history.

Just out of interest whom are our full backs do we actually have any?
As Knight isn't really a fullback, Forsyth is really knocking on now, who else have we got?
We had to rush numbers in the door in the summer just to get a starting 11 together and now people with short memories are saying we should be getting promotion straight away it's ridiculous.
And Warne has inherited all of this unless he was sending subliminal messages to Rosenoir in the summer ordering him to sign all of the players he now has.
Then I read on another thread that this is the worst football managerial appointment ever and he needs to go, it makes you want to vomit really.
