Dom Dietrich from Radio Derby tweeted yesterday that John-Jules is going to be around for a couple more weeks, it was shared earlier in this thread. No further decision about his future has been communicated by the club

I'd suggest by bringing him on so early that his future here has already been decided.

Slowly bringing him upto the fitness required for professional football, I'd assume a 18 month deal on a free, with a sell on clause included has already been agreed.

  2. This forums somehow become a provincial town centre in the 80's, at chucking out time on a Saturday night.

We've had a bit of football, we've had a dozen beers, now let's get some food and hopefully a dust up before we make our way home.

I had an operation at the DRI to re-attach my severed achilles tendon on Christmas Day, after I'd fell through a window due to drunken horseplay.

The surgeon got his own back for me ruining his Christmas Dinner, by stealing my Calvin Kleins during surgery.

  4. One: Don't pick up the phone
You know he's only here 'til January, on loan.

Two: Lets play him in, he'll probably end up scoring again.

    Three: Lets be his friend
You know he's gonna end up in the team in the mornin'
And if you're seeing him, you ain't gettin' over him

Ugh - we're only half way through and quite enjoying it. I shall temper my expectations

Thank you. I was just saying to Mrs Wolfie last night that maybe we should start that. Don't think I'll bother now.

Everyone's different, I wouldn't let me put you off.

Anyone watching Boat Story on BBC iplayer - not sure about the weird narration thing going on, but getting used to it. A LOT of fairly unexpected violence too, so probably not for those of a nervous disposition

Daisy Haggard is excellent as ever, as is Paterson Joseph (although I keep expecting him to go full Johnson out of Peep Show)

And episode one has an excellent Whippet in it 😂

It's a cosy crime caper, directed by a wannabee Tarantino.

    I like it.

Not worthy of a new thread, but a bump of this one should suffice...

Looking for semi-decent carpeting for the back of my new van, which I'm collecting in a couple of hours, so if anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears!  Grey or black preferred, but not a deal-breaker!

There's a 2+1 seat arrangement in the back.  I'm happy to cut out for seat fittings (and lashing points) if need be, as I'd like the carpet to be in one piece, from the back of the front seats (1+1) to the rear tailgate threshold.  Would prefer hemmed, so I'm just trying to avoid an end-of-roll remnant from a domestic carpet shop! 🤣  The "scatterd rug" look is a tad too hipster for me, too! 👀

There are options for multi-piece vehicle-specific carpets, (Some of which are far too expensive for my liking!) shaped and hemmed around that second row of seats, with a larger carpet for the main "empty" rear (behind those seats).   But I'm not so keen on the multi piece option though, hence my desire for a "Covers the lot" option.  (There may be times when all 3 rear seats come out, for camping abroad?)

If it matters, the van is a VW Transporter T6.1 Highline Kombi - SWB - Sliding door each side.

If I can get the desired effect for a £100 or less, I'll be delighted!  😎

I'll do some digging of course, but if anyone has any suggestions, it'd be appreciated.

    Cheers.  🍻

If I were you, I'd go for rubberised, washable matting instead.

In my experience, cleaning hitchhikers blood from carpet is a nightmare.
