reading this as got it for my birthday as it was today. I'm currently 50 pages in and think I'll finish it tonight. Absolutely loving it, great read with the right combination of insider information and analysis by the author making it a very easy and enjoyable read.

Every keeper has weaknesses. Overall Roos for me has proved himself. And he deserves praise keeping a clean sheet last night.
Agree about not commanding box enough but high profile ricket ? Most keepers will do something like this. Same as other players. It’s highlighted if a keeper does it but I’ve seen top strikers miss open goals scuff shots etc...
Agree about balance on forum though, Byrne has suddenly become awful  in the eyes of people even though he was player of the season

Fair comments, there were one or two crazy Carson matches where he and Keogh saved us so many times although I can’t remember exactly which matches and opposition but Roos was immense last night. Football fans are fickle and suddenly if we concede next game, he will get flak. Just like Byrne earlier this season. Suddenly becomes a bad player.

Always maintained Roos is a good keeper in spite of others disagreeing but he must be doing something right at the moment. Yesterday he kept us in it in a performance reminiscent of Carson at his peak who saved us so many times.
He punches a lot but this is coached more at a younger level these days as often being a less risky option than going for a catch, especially when it’s wet.
Don’t buy this “it’s his job” as quoted by Bobby Davison and some fans- of course it’s his job. It’s the strikers job to put the ball in the net. It’s the defenders job to stop the ball going in the net. On that basis all the goalkeepers in the land who do their job will never concede and never make a mistake!
well played not only Roos but the defence last night. Jagielka and Davies are the sorts of players we need and would be assets to a lot of teams in this league.

Yeah this is one that really gets me. When a striker scores, we don't not celebrate and say "that's his job" do we? Some people can't bring themselves to praise Roos because they know they're wrong about him.

Roos is badly underrated by our fans. If you compare him to other keepers in this division then he holds his own and you’d have to pay a good chunk of money to improve on him.
I noticed a lot of people have been critical of him with the ball at his feet, but again that’s the circumstances we put upon him. We give him the ball more than any other team gives their keeper and often under a lot of pressure too.
Given our number of backwards passes (not so much last night) and the pressure he’s under there will inevitably be mistakes, he’s not Ederson………..but I’m struggling to think of another keeper in this division that wouldn’t struggle with the silly amount of passes we give our keeper.
He’s done a good job this season.

Good point. Roos immense. Some heroic defending but mixed feelings for me, no attacking threat at all. Even though we have a thin squad etc, as an attacking force just nothing. Still a decent away point.

Hey up all, finally completed my video from my visit to Pride Park yesterday so nice to visit Derby again. After a long spell, despite the match probably not being that vintage it was still a very good atmosphere. Hope Derby can certainly turn there fortunes round and fingers crossed a takeover can happen sooner than later. Also 22,900 nah not convinced with that I think there was more than 25,000 at least. Enjoy the video below, hopefully see you soon at Pride Park or away.

It's easy to fall for someone who says they are what they are, I know very well how she feels, I've not been posting on this board for a good few months, The reason being I dated a Woman who claimed she was Madonna, She took me for every penny I had, Told me stories that her ex boyfriends robbed her and she was taking them to court, So when she wins her case i'll get my money back...with interest, She was a Psycho, I'd be hit, Robbed, Shown up at every opportunity, Eventually I managed to get away after telling the Police.
I found out through friends that she 's ended up in prison, My friend said...he'd heard I was dating Mad Donna.

Admittedly I have seen little match action this season but I’m basing my opinion on seeing Byrne last season. I would reserve judgement this season until a few matches have passed. He made a massive mistake which cost us but overall I would say he is one of our more talented players and also consistent generally. He was my vote for player of the season last season and I think we need him in our team. He is an upgrade on Bogle. I’m confident he will eventually have another solid season.

Can teams just cancel contracts like that? There surely has to be some notice period, players are usually let go yearly I think. Also, maybe Derby don't want to get rid of these players. They are young and it's probably unfair to judge them in match with little preparation.
