Just been announced we're allowed "modest" transfer fees....

One of the areas we have holes is midfield. Yes, we have a real talent in Bielik...but he's injured, we have Shinnie and Knight. Yes you may like to add the untried Watson to that group and Sibley / Lawrence....both for me more No.10's. Joz again more of a wide player. So for me we are light in quality in that area. Morrison may turn out to not make it here but I'd say that in there that there's a player that can do a job in the Championship. We cant sign any players involving a fee and we also cant sign players who want high wages....so really we're stuck in the bargain basement aren't we....so for anyone to write off players (as they do on here) before they've even kicked a ball - to me seems crazy. If the Manager has faith in them and signs them on then surely we have to support them. I think many posters on here would rather see us relegated then take on players that they dont see fit to wear the shirt. Make no mistake - another season of struggle awaits us....its all hands to the pump. I dont see any problem with the players Rooney has brought in during the close season. I liked Clarke but I'd say 1. He was never coming back 2. For saying how good I thought he was - we have been susceptible to crosses for so many years and Clarke never seemed to make much difference to that....we still switched off and let in "howlers" 3. The fact that he's gone out on loan for a 3rd season indicates that nobody is willing to gamble on him with a permanent move.... time to move on.

No, I think he's suggesting that if you don't like those that are being named then simply come up with better alternatives....

Clearly Mengi isn't the finished article....that's why Man.U are considering loaning him out.....who would you like them to loan us....maybe Harry McGuire ????

Yeah, I'm really disappointed as he's a gifted player on his day. That said Frank Lampard bought him and hardly played him, Philip Cocu never played him, Wayne Rooney sent him on loan inferring he was lazy and finally he spent 13 games on loan at the Wendies, didn't score - and went AWOL during his spell there. Something just isn't right with the guy....but undoubtably he'll score against us though....

My thoughts are similar. In the last few games of the season he (for me) was not very influential. Interesting comments though from the DET about his games for Ireland :
"Jason Knight is the bright spark here. Big future ahead."...."Jason Knight is going to be a very good player!"...."Jason knight is Ireland’s best player."..."Jason Knight looks like a proper baller. You can see why Wayne Rooney showed faith in him in the last couple of months. Real exciting prospect"...."Jason knight is by far the best player over the 2 games , he running past his own players chasing the ball and going forward he is by far been the best .. what a player he is gonna be"...."Jason Knight has been excellent tonight for Ireland"..."Jason Knight is a player."..."Jason knight is going to be a star…. Two complete performances the past few days"....."A premier league team should take a punt on Jason Knight. Young energetic hard working and might just have the talent to back it up."...."Not a bad 2nd half still the same final 3rd issues. But Kenny will be happy with the performance and a clean sheet. Jason Knight brilliant again. Should be on every XI going forward."
Based on that maybe we should think twice before we dispose of our Crown Jewels....
