I think the difference there, certainly with Rowett anyway, is that at least I could see what he was trying to do.  I might not have liked the way we played, but I could see a path to it being effective.  We largely played to the players strengths, recruited to fit a system etc.  We had the same lack of pace at the back and in midfield as we do this season (with Davies, Huddlestone, Johnson etc), but we sat deep and compact, so it wasn't exposed.  And we set up to let Nugent, Vydra, Lawrence etc break from deep and get running at people, so they all benefitted from the system too.
I don't get any of that with Warne.  Everything seems to be barely more than doing stuff and random and hoping it works.

Elder doesn't look like he's comfortable playing as an attacking  wing back which makes him an odd signing. Even in a flat 4 Warne will want him bombing forward and I've not seen any evidence that's in his game. No surprise Forsyth is in, but surely that wasn't the plan. 
On paper Elder is a solid league one player when fully fit. I can see him being a frequent sub, coming on when we need fresh legs for the last 20 minutes.
He will give squad depth/rotation options, but wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson, and maybe Sibley or Wilson playing there from the off as they bring more offensively.

Was hoping the drop in division would change things. You can get fitness and confidence back, and you can forge an understanding with other defenders, but once your legs have gone that's pretty much it.
The leadership he speaks about also seems AWOL so far, so all we actually have is someone tall enough to win a few headers at set pieces.
Hoping he comes into his own eventually and does what we all hoped, but all I can see right now is him coming on for the last 5-10 minutes of a game a la Bucko to provide a bit of no nonsense aerial suppport when its backs to the wall.
A 2 year contract and likely being highest earner certainly seems a big miss-step so far.  Still, I will keep the faith and hope for better.

He does massively over indulge himself at times. That technique of 'normal' conversations (in the diner in Reservoir Dogs) and then the 'Royale with cheese' scene were good at first but got really tiresome. Hateful 8 was so overblown and chat-heavy it was untrue.
Django and Inglorious would both have improved by being at least 30mins shorter.
Started Once Upon a Time and got bored after 10mins. Just lost interest in him now. 

Warne has all but confirmed its a 'bone injury'. Sounds like he hasn't got the medical reports yet though to know exactly how bad.

The problem is I don't see us replacing him with a permanent signing. If we lose him tomorrow and have 2 weeks to get someone in it won't change much if anything compared to losing him on deadline day..
PW is already chasing loans that will likely only come in at the last minute.
I think I'm on the side of keeping him until January now unless we get a bid that actually means we can bring someone decent in. Selling him weakens us considerably unless there is some incentive like a loan or swap involved.

Nice pull back from Bird to CH who dispatched a nice shot from the edge of the box. Bar any craziness we've got this in the bag now.
