    Is he making the best contribution of his whole career now ? What a player. My MOTM today but that stands along side a great period of consistent good form all season. He’s looked a rock at the back. Using his football nous to outwit younger faster players. Strength and height help but he anticipates such a lot and his use of the ball under pressure has been excellent. Seems to know when to put a foot through it or be a little more deft and subtle

    And Messi’s not? That’s precisely why I’d have Messi over Ronaldo any day of the week. Ronaldo only seems to care about the next record, and the next stat. Messi’s many highlight reels are works of art.

    Why am I not surprised?! ? 
    Dobbin, Forsyth and Hourihane all had their penalties SAVED. How do you know it was a case of “letting” him take one? Maybe he was best in training, maybe he put his hand up when the others didn’t. Lay off the kid.
